“I fucking hate this place!” Not that it was technically the fault of Mystic Falls that Kat’s high heel literally snapped clean off, but of course that was just the latest of her misfortunes in this town.

Generally, the prospect of running into someone like Klaus made it stressful for Katerina to leave the house at all... however come hell or high water, the doppelgänger was human now (or rather, a witch) meaning she had needs now and she happened to be gettin’ kinda thirsty. Besides, even long before Katerina took on the alias of Kathrine, she’d always been the kind to look for a little fun. “I’ll have 4 shots of Tequila please,” she asked confidently, leaning against the bar.

Wyatt’s latest antics had definitely left her unimpressed, and still feeling weird about how she ended up getting help from Elena. Nonetheless she had, soon after had her run-in with Klaus and they were now in a very real, very vulnerable position, at the mercy of his moods and grudges. She did not like it one bit. And what more, she had slowly come to realise that Stefan and Elena hadn’t been aware of each other’s returns until recently and there was... something weighing on her mind about her doppelgänger. Perhaps she could get away and evade discussing it, but she couldn’t make it too obvious either.
Which was why she had texted Elena to meet her by the firepit at the lake, booze in tow, because there were some things they had to discuss. To be clear, she hadn’t invited Elena, or asked her, she had told her to come and hadn’t even waited a response. Annoyingly, she just expected her to show up.
Noisily, she sighed and uncorked the bottle of bourbon she’d brought with a muffled thud before bringing it to her lips and taking a swig. What? She deserved a break after eluding yet again the psycho who’d tracked her down for 500 years.
“So... is there any Rakia in this joint?”
Katerina wasn’t paying much heed to where she was going, lost in her thoughts. She had apologised to one person, but there were so many more. The task felt insurmountable and in her distraction, did not realize she was bumping straight into another person. She steadied herself as she exclaimed her displeasure. “Hey! Watch it-”
