❝ ♕ HER PEACE IS momentarily disrupted by the sound of her voiceand instinctively her gaze switches from in front of her to the vicinity, eyessquinting as she scrutinizes the area. The throng of dancing bodies drunkenlydancing on beat to rhythmic music. She normally doesn’t bring friends along forwhen she’s checking up on her various establishments, peeking in to make suremanagers are doing as they’re told and following her command. Just another dayin the tedious life of a person whose main source of income dwelled within thevices of human nature.

BUTJADE IS insistent, the promise of a fun time being just enough to get her tohave Carmen bring her with her. It would be fun, she chimed over and overagain. Yet as the minutes dwindled into hours she’s come to regret her decision– even more so when the slurred words leave her lips. Goddammit. Bringing aninnocent into her own personal warzone was never Carmen’s intentions, but thepromise of a secure friendship is what causes her to give in. Clicking her tongue,she curses underneath her breath as her fingers wrap around Jade’s wrist tobring the other close to her. “Stay by my side and keep your head down.” Thecommand is rushed, urgency dropping off of every syllable. Without a care sheshoves people to the side as the two make their way to the exit.

ADRENALINE RUNNING THROUGH her veins, she ignores the shout of her name and holds herbreath to reassure the promise of peace and serenity that is to come with thefeeling of safety. But she sees no such luck coming to them both any time soon.Finally pushing her outside she quickly takes in her surroundings beforegrabbing hold of her wrists. “Listen to me, when I tell you to run you run fastand as quickly as you can. You understand?” Raising her hands, she cups Jade’scheeks in her palms, staring directly in her eyes. “I need for you to tell methat you understand.”

« I can’t believe it! » Miran exclaimed, as she put out her cigarette, crushing its lit up butt under the thick heel of her leather shoe. They’d been walking around the same damn blocks for the last two minutes. Her cold gaze returned to her friend’s visage and both her hands found their ways back to the pockets of her jacket, in dire need of some warmth to bask into. Finding none. When the student spoke again, she made sure to have each of her words laced with as much discontent as possible. A task quite easy to accomplish when one’s called Miran. « Did you just lay all the responsability of your bad decisions on me? Really, Chungha? I told you to go left, you just refused to listen and now we’re fucking lost in a city that holds million of inhabitants! »

« Talk about your dream universe... I’ve thought about it for a while. Would I like to live in a world where there’s suffering, no pain, no war? No war, that’s for sure. But no pain, no suffering? Wouldn’t life lose a little of its sparkle? Sure, you might say that since it would have never existed, I would have never known what I was missing on. If you allow me to use that expression. But I sincerely think that life would be so damn dull, if everything was about unicorns, butterflies and how hard the sun shines. Like okay, then what? Every day like that? Like hey, look, there’s no cloud in the sky today. Again. It’s like.. you know this song, where the guy songs about “you only know you love her when you let her go”? This is what I’m talking about here. We wouldn’t enjoy life as hard as some of us are right now, if we weren’t aware that it might be taken away from us any moment. Now... about Chungha. She doesn’t talk to me enough. She’s a chill woman, I like her a lot and I would talk to her more, but there’s always that annoying side of me that tends to think I’m going to be a bother, or that the feeling’s not mutual. I’ve got to admit, everything between us is about yelling louder than the other, which might shorten the conversations more than once, but it’s usually quite fun. And I need some fun. »

Patting her cheeks, she inflates them for a few moments before speaking again. “I must say though, I loved your group unit’s comeback. I still listen to it- even in the showers! Aha, it’s so funny to say that but really, it’s true.” Her nose scrunches when she laughs, hiding behind her hands.

‘Oh come on, don’t be so dramatic.’ She responded, laughter passing her lips as she nudged the female, trying to get her to cheer up. ‘It’s just water, it’ll dry up.’ She said as she brushed some of her wet strands from her sight. ‘At least it was fun right? And besides, how was I supposed to know these random people with water guns would come by, it’s not like I planned this party!’ Keeping her tone light-hearted in hope the female wouldn’t take it all too seriously, she hadn’t meant for all of this to happen but in the end it was fun.

“I didn’t do it!” She exclaimed, looking at the children around them crying. “I have no idea why they’re crying.” Michiko cringed when she heard the a few of the children wailing. “I thought putting on…” She picks up the DVD case and read the title. “…Care bears, they would like it! I mean look and it! Bears talking with pictures on their tummy–” Usually, Michiko was good with kids, just poke at them and then run around with them, they would be fine. But this bunch….she had no idea what to do. She really should of brought Baymax, they would love him.

“Okay look here is the thing… I might or might not have punch someone in the face and they won’t wake up.” Bina can’t find the sense in herself as to why she is telling this young stranger her sudden turmoil when bumping into her on the street. It wasn’t late but the street lights were starting to turn on and headlights on cars began to blink. “I went to grab my phone from my pocket and they next thing I know a hand was on my shoulder and I just turned and smack.” Motioning to the unconscious man leaning on the side of a building. The streets was empty for the most part of human traffic but now there was a dilemma  of leaving the guy or calling the police, “Should I just leave a note that says sorry?”
