A little dance of light for you brought to you by the beauty of #fume. Might as well post this... put it my stories but I can explain a little here. My old friend @ericlarix and I went on a road trip years ago where everything lined up like magic. I was having a tough time generally so for me it was unreal relief for a few days. This song came on at some point and I didn't know "who" it was 😭 But it was a high moment where I was so happy to be alive and hadn't felt so good in some time. A moment I didn't want to end. I searched for about 2 years without success and finally heard the song in an opening for a radio program... emailed and boom ("eminence front" by the who). I often listen to this- and did a lot on #knailingitontheroad- as it always brings back that feeling of magic and fun; good times and things lining up. Only now the magic is in the shop!! Got the sunlight raging that fume too. About to heat this up and throw down. Love my little spot, good work is happening here. Part of the experience of setting up a new shop is that beyond making it function, it's all about making it feel like home, making it feel like a safe place to create in. When l say "Stress Less through glass art"; that goes for making it as well as appreciating it. Just found all my prints in a moving box- all pics I took on backpacking trips- that I like to have up on my bench. They are such a wonderful reminder to work harder (on glass and my health) so I can get out there once again. #knailingitontheroad was AWESOME but for now I can't express how awesome it is to get this shop set up, fired up, and dialed in. What an amazing year this has been- a road trip across the country meeting new people, making new friends, seeing old friends, all the while making one epic piece after another, leaving every spot with a big hug, and ending the trip feeling more excited and inspired about glass than I have since the late '90's!! I started #knailingitontheroad in Arcata, CA (little south of this pic), and it's remarkable to think ~7 months and 20,000 miles and I'm back at the beautiful Pacific Ocean once again. Thanks to ALL who hosted me, fed me, let me visit, and all the rest. Love you guys- hope everyone's holiday season is on the Stress Less vibe, and have a safe new year. I'm finally about to start on my new work, make some music, write some #knailhistory... I'm stoked. Let's crush 2017 everyone!!!
