I usually don't post my own thoughts. I am a fairly private person. But I'm hoping this can reach Kneeby since they have disabled all communications on Tumblr.

First of all. I think this whole controversy over sparklecare and cometcare is nothing but hot air.

Someone dug up Kneeby's private canons and whirled up a bunch of malicious intent where there was absolutely none.

These are fictional characters. Nothing more than imaginary thoughts. They are not real people being harmed. Hell I was always surprised by the sheer amount of content warnings on the comic. That is a lot of care for not triggering people.

I am sad because this could likely be the end of sparklecare. I always looked forward to seeing uni again. I have a sweet spot for sly. Poor gal struggling with taking a shower. Something about the vulnerability of these characters struggling with stuff the public may treat very harshly in a safe environment.

That's why fiction exists. It's a safe environment. As long as we acknowledge the difference between fiction and reality there is no harm done.

But now a mob has formed. They found something (once again a fictional ship) that they didn't like and decided to absolutely tear down Kneeby, someone struggling with mental illness trying to cope with severe trauma and brought so much joy to so many people with their characters.

They didn't have to do this. They didn't have to share sparklecare with anybody. But we all found connection there.

Now thanks to this mob mentality there will be no more sparklecare or cometcare. The life and soul of someone has been terrorized into believing that they are as bad as their abusers. All over, I remind you, fictional ships. Fictional ships that were private. Because they knew this could be triggering to other people. But they had great healing power to her.

I work a blue collar job. I spend time with people who would say the most fucked up things. But I don't judge them on what they say. I see their actions as actions of integrity. They may be rough on the surface, but they enact behaviors or care and responsibility towards others.

And I think this terminally online culture is mixing up fiction with reality and causing a lot of harm.

This callout post that has gone around has done absolutely no good for anyone. Kneeby is hurting and drowning in unwarranted hate. Fans of the comics and characters are hurting because they also believe they have been deceived and because they believe they have supported something bad. And now we all have lost a wonderful thing over a bunch of private canons and ships. Once more, fictional ships. Fiction. Not real.

I'm pretty upset about the whole thing. At this rate the only we'll have in the future is the most absolutely bland media because everyone will get scared their lives will be ruined over some perceived harm.

If incest is a contentious topic then we should bring it to the light and explore how it affects relationships in the real world and why do some people attach to the fictional performance of it and what are the effects of it. Discussions that need to be approached with compassion and curiosity instead of judgement.

Nobody is perfect. I rather have strange imperfect people that bring joy and are committed to improving behavior that causes real harm to real victims than perfect performing people who are so scared to be real that everything they create is bland soggy slop devoid of nuance.

We can't grow as people when we live in fear.

I hope we get to see more sparklecare and civil discussions about fictional ships.

This type of behavior is more about seeking safety in hiding with the angry crowd than exposing dangerous predators or evil people. If the latter were the case then we would be treating the writers of murder mysteries the same as potential serial killers.

This is silly and it needs to stop because all it is doing is hurting everyone involved.

If Kneeby reads this. You are well within your right to keep your ocs and aus private. But I personally would be extremely sad to see them go.

I am more interested in hearing how incest has affected your life and why the fictional version of it can be comforting despite the pain the real event caused than having the topic completely silenced. We are complicated creatures. The more we learn about each other, the better we can act to get along and not hurt each other.

Anyways that is my ramble.

I hate seeing people suffer unnecessarily.

uh keep the shit you get off to private, objectum isn’t a fetish, kc overdosing and being in contact with her abusers is bad, the stuff she did is still weird though, kc supporters are weird as hell for enabling her harmful behavior

i’m gonna go as far to say that the sparklecrits care more about kc than her “supporters”, as they advocate for both victims AND kittycorn to get better

DEFENSE OF KNEEBY/SPARKLECAREHOSPITAL

Everyone ganging up on her and screaming at her to leave and that she's some sort of monster is crazy. She went through trauma and made her own creation off of it, and maybe it was a bad idea to have a bunch of traumatized fans become obsessed with her comic, she's clearly still healing and everyone who is lashing out at her is too, and everyone's just full of emotions. It's okay to be upset or disagree with what she did, but remember there is a human behind that screen. Her comic clearly had a lot of love and care put into it and wasn't just a "secret fetish comic" if you actually read it there's a lot more to it than that, even if you don't like the comic or her opinions you can tell it's not just a fetish comic. Everything she did that had anything to do with her interest was kept in spaces with close people only, and completely separate from her actual story. She even explained it herself in some of her recent posts. Her own personal ideas that nobody else will understand has no bearing on the comic, nobody even picked up on anything weird until her private information came out, which is unfair to her. You're free to not enjoy the comic anymore if this really ruined things for you, but it's her own creation and anything bad to do with it was 100% private and personal. Even if it's a bad way to cope, she's still trying to heal, she just started therapy, it's complicated and we're all human. The screenshot of Emsody is honestly more self-incriminating than anything. I cannot imagine the lunacy of thinking that others are supposed to just *know* you're uncomfortable without you even saying a thing! & her lashing out at Kneeby over it was just uncalled for, listen, it's not others jobs to read you and know what discomforts you when you aren't even vocal about it! Kneeby did not need to apologize for that at all. People today have become too entitled to expect people to just know they're uncomfortable when they act on board and do things! You cannot be mad at someone for this. I've even seen people calling her out while saying "yeah I did it too" or "I encouraged it" but just brush past it or act like it's different because they were secretly uncomfortable just to add onto hate of her. Some of the stuff is even from years ago that I've seen, like dating as teens and her doing weird stuff. You can't expect her to read your mind. I can reiterate that it's okay to be uncomfortable with things she's done but it's silly to act like she's a monster who did all of this on purpose. Honestly I've never talked to Kneeby but just watching this from a distance this is all absolutely heinous to me the way you guys are treating her, and I'm not even into much of her works anymore but I was huge into her sonic the cat series as a kid so nonetheless I'm still around to see whats going on from time to time. And I must say you guys are ruthless. This girl is completely harmless and not a danger to anyone, she made drawings IN PRIVATE and she obviously knows its weird and wrong but it happens, when you have that sort of stuff happen to you as a kid sometimes difficult feelings and stuff like this comes about, its complicated but in the end it is just drawings, not even graphic ones at that. Even I think its a gross and bad coping mechanism but she's not an evil person for it, shes just creating things to cope with what she went through in private with *trusted* friends (who clearly had it out for her anyway.) The people who posted this callout clearly have a personal vendetta against this girl because she had not wronged them, she's obviously very mentally ill and just doing literal ship art of colourful animals, yes its weird and whatnot but why does this warrant the whole world to know, for her whole story to get leaked and for her to be doxxed? That's just absolutely moronic. In the end I just think people are blowing this way out of proportion. Unfortunately you know how this side of the internet is.

the replies of this post say emsody and other clowns confirmed shes not but apparently like relates to transfems more?? idk i can also vouch that she is afab (although with pcos). i would generally not speak on this because its private personal info imo, BUT the concerns around her treatment of transfem characters unfortunately does warrant it to me

About the SparkleCare drama

I rarely ever post on here, but I suppose it would be best to express my distaste for KittyCorn with the recent things that have come out about her here. I used to be into the series around late-2023ish because some folks of mine had introduced me to the series. However the series ultimately wasn’t for me, and I left it for Murphy & Mitzi in January 2024. However I was rather shocked this morning to see everything come out about KC, particularly the incest stuff. Like I’ve been in practically every corner of the internet at this point, and the last person I’d expect to make a very graphic 175 page incest comic with the characters would be KC herself, but here we are. And the fact that SparkleCare is apparently a fetish comic honestly makes things much worse. And the lack of accountability here is just fuckin terrible. I can never look at neither the characters nor the series the same ever again. And it sucks because I really liked Barry Ill. Now that the allegations have left a horrible taste in my mouth, I’ve decided to burn the only fanart I did for this series. Fuck you KC and fuck your incest ships!

It's been a while since I've posted anything here, but I've been informed about the Kittycorn situation and everything that has happened since March 10th. I've decided to delete the fanart (I already deleted one) and another drawing I made about Sparklecare.
