This only works for labour jobs. Which is funny because that is exactly how I got my current job. I literally walked into the main office and asked for work and immediately got it.

"You know, sometimes people are totally fascinated with monsters. What... aren't you? Don't you want some Michael Myers type to come slowly eviscerate you and tell you what's really on the inside?"

It’s ironic that the label of ‘madness’ itself causes the same kind of powerlessness, the same abusive wrenching-away of choice and freedom and autonomy, the same kind of shame and humiliation, that the original trauma did. As a child, no one took me seriously or believed me, listened to what I wanted, respected my body, treated me as if what I felt mattered. Being a ‘psychiatric patient’ is rarely any different. But what is more than ironic—what in reality is a tragic human rights atrocity—is that the system of care called psychiatry in this country and much of the Western world is based upon ‘treatment’ for severe trauma which replicates the dynamics of that original abuse. Do we really, as a nation, think that in order to ‘get better,’ in order to recover from the distress of decades of abuse, we have to be treated as if we have no rights?—the right to be believed and listened to, the right to be in control of our life and our body? Should we be treated as if we have no value or worth? Why is it that to treat the effects of powerlessness, which is the core of so much trauma and abuse, psychiatry thinks that we should be powerless?

I wanna read this one
I couldn't find an official translation so forgive me but it says
"Sometimes we have to look at things that aren't cute and make us uncomfortable."
"Because I don't really understand it."
"Because it has nothing to do with me."
"Because it just feels unpleasant."
"If we keep turning a blind eye like that until we can't see anything anymore, then eventually even the cute things will disappear."

You know what. I was talking to a friend about corporate sponsors taking fringe movements, gutting them, and bringing them into the mainstream.
And I was wondering why is this not happening to furries?
Then the realization hit me like running into a pole that was there all along.
It's the sex perverts. They are our rent lowering gunshots. They are the reason the squeaky clean establishment won't touch the furry fandom. We need them. Every freaky fringe fetish fur account is doing us an invaluable service in keeping us away from corporate hands (for the most part).
So thank a pervert today for their service 🫡
well you know what they say. when you've invested billions of dollars into hammers every problem looks like a nail and you keep handing these hammers to your users and they go "i don't really think i needed this hammer" and "but i don't have any nails that need hammering in right now" and "this is not a nail this is a glass vase that will break if i hit it with a hammer" and "didn't you used to have, like, other tools avaliable that might be better suited to this job" and you tell them to suck it up because you've replaced all your screwdrivers and wrenches and box cutters and crates and ladders and paint with hammers because your shareholders need to see an increase in value from your hammer investments
gray how the FUCK do you design and draw shoes im hitting a fucking wall here
it may be hard to believe but i really don't like designing shoes and i don't even think it's because it's difficult but i really could not care less about shoes... hence why the current setting i'm drawing has almost no characters wearing shoes 😭
here are some tutorials from artists who are better than me/care more about footwear:
somepony asked how i draw shoes & here is my thought process :)
Disclaimer: I’m completely self taught so my art is not necessarily anatomically correct nor realistic. This is just how I personally draw s
these two are probably the most formative to me. but there are other good ones with different ways of simplifying the shapes.

To everyone saying it’s not real:
Nintendo... no...
My child, who spends their entire life being transfered from home to car to school and back, and is not allowed to leave the house or talk to anyone and can only in their wildest dreams imagine a life free from constant surveillance, is very sad. Obviously they're dumb and lazy, like all kids these days.
My upbringing in one paragraph.
art history will be like "this is the most revolutionary painting of its time!" and you will look at it and is just a normal painting of a lady sitting under a tree and then an art historian will explain "this is the first time a painting ever used this specific shade of blue which challenged all understood conventions of how to depict light and launched a movement known as auzureism, and also the lady is looking at a sparrow which in its time it was a sign of fierce sexual liberation and it was considered scandalous" and then you find out the painter was expelled from the academy of art of stockholm because of the painting and that the king of sweeden paid three thousand marcs (equivallent to ten million dollars now a days) to have the painting in his room and the painting still looks like a generic painting of a lady under a tree
This is the best description of an art history class I have ever seen.
i recommend telling yourself “this isn’t an experience i want to keep having” and stop entertaining things that are really detrimental to your health and don’t benefit you in anyway.
