Honestly, the core rulebook is already damn good as it is, so it really depends on how much you like the system and want to support it. It’s an indie production and they could likely use the support, but in terms of what you actually get out of it, a lot of it is pretty passable.
There’s a supplemental sourcebook full of a whole bunch of optional stuff (new element, new race, four new fighting styles, a lot of optional rules like cover and elemental storms) and a lot of more in-depth mecha stuff. Great if you want more in-depth giant mech/vehicle rules, easily passable if you just want super-fighting robots for everlasting peace.
There’s also another supplemental sourcebook with optional upgrades and races and rules to customize your game to fit already-established settings--one of which does include X! ...I found it completely unnecessary, nothing really in there that I hadn’t already thought to do. But it’s still nice to see what else you could make.
