Made this for you!
Oh, this is absolutely amazing. I love the design, thank you very much! He looks so cool!
Here's the sauced version on Tumblr as a link, for folks to like/reblog as they please:
Based on the Doom mod by @terminusest13
Thank you again!
Hey! I love your "Zapper-Master" Mod. If you're still doing Doom Mods, Zapper-Master should totally be brought back & have the Power Glove as a Melee Weapon >:)
I'm moving more into full games and TC rather than mods, but this would be a wonderful idea if I ever pick that back up again. A platoon of gadgets to act as weapons would be fun--Power Glove as melee, Zapper as pistol, Super Scope as SMG/charge blaster...
Dunno what the others would be. But sounds like it could be a basis for a fun mod!
ORIGWAD.PWD E1M1 (386, -80, 0) Author: Jeff Bird Date: 1994-04-17 Description: This is an experimental PWAD file for use with DOOM. It is rather simple since I cannot generate the nodes structure for anything much more complex than this. This level has been generated entirely by hand. No editors were used to produce it.
There it is! The first one!
Feels surprising to realize I've been working on this for three, almost four years now.
Finally starting to solidify into something.
It's been almost a year, but Slipstream RX v1.1 is finally out! Tabletop RPG development is a significantly different beast than video gamed
Slipstream RX is a PvP tabletop RPG taking inspiration from F-Zero and Speed Racer. I've released a 1.1 update, with a multitude of different changes, fixes, and tweaks to gameplay.
Linked is a changelog, the different files, and a playingcards.io template to make use of.
There's still a lot to do with the system, but I think I'm going to take the rest of 2023 off. Happy new year, folks!
Slipstream RX status update
Response to Slipstream RX has been quite positive so far! For a month, it was one of the top TTRPG PvP games on itch.io! Which is a bit of a specific category, so I’m not exactly making any headlines. But I’m still very glad people are interested in zoomy race car space game.
Afterwards, I injured my arm and had to take a couple-month break, but now I’m healing up and getting back into the flow, and so development is continuing.
Updates for the core Slipstream RX rulebook are mandatory, of course. There are things that need clarified and a few mechanics that need refined. But I’d also like to work on some splatbooks for Slipstream RX to expand functionality--people in the server are already aware that I’ve been working on World of Slipstream RX, a splatbook for GMs that want to host long-term campaigns and/or shared universe/west march settings. Maybe I can come up with another one afterwards? A lot of people have asked about being able to use items, a la Mario Kart...
...Tabletop RPG development is different from mod development or other game development. With other things, I can post a screenshot, a sprite, a bit of pixel art, or video of something in action. With tabletop RPG, all I can say is what I’ve been working on and what I’d like to do next. In some ways, it feels less like a status update and more like a blog. Which, well, I guess this site is...but I’ve always been more preferential to showcasing something harder than just talking about features.
...Well, there’s something I can show, at least. Please have a map that people raced on pretty recently.
Interstellar Pizzeria "Amóre" [You Cannoli Run So Far]
An anti-gravity racing tabletop RPG system, designed for player-versus-player gameplay!
The past couple of months, I’ve been working on a tabletop system. Gameplay focuses around cutthroat VS matches between over-the-top rival characters in high-speed machines; it’s one part card game, one part PvP game, one part roleplaying game. As a result, games can get pretty damn hectic.
It takes heavy inspiration from spectacular racing anime such as F-Zero, Speed Racer, Redline, and Ōban Star-Racers, so if you’re interested in those you might be interested in giving this a run as well.
I think it’s fun! I’m slightly biased, though. But I hope folks have fun, too!
I've drifted into tabletop RPG gamedev a bit recently, and I gotta say it's really fun to just come up with raw mechanics that people can play with and have fun with.
Unfortunate downside is that, as a primarily text/audience-based medium, not much that can be posted.
Pokeymanz: a Tabletop RPG for Pokémon in the style of the anime and manga - focused on loose, quick, and narrative play, with a lot of wiggle room for homebrew content.
Let me show you my Pokeymanz! I’ve been working on this for the better part of several months, and I finally polished up the PDF enough to release.
If you like Pokémon and tabletop RPGs, and don’t gel well with the mechanics-heavy stuff like PTU and its ilk, I encourage you to take a look. Also, I shitposted furiously in the margins so maybe take a look anyway if you like jokes.
Pokeymanz: - Is relatively rules-lite - Is easily moddable for homebrew content like fakemons and custom moves and abilities - Is customizable with optional rules to add in complexity if your group wants it - Encourages players to be creative with their Pokémon and abilities Enjoy!
Self-plug on main! Not Mega Man related, but if you enjoy my sense of humour or happen to be into Pokémon, check it out!
I provided some design direction and helped proofread and test this.
Tabletop dev is fun.
On second thought, nah.

Please enjoy, mates.
DUMP-2v2.pk3: DUMP Episode 2: Dump Harder MAP39 (-1072, -944, 80) Author: TerminusEst13 (et al) Date: 2016-05-23 Description: For 2016, I really want to better my mapping abilities and put out some good stuff. Two friends, Mystical and Gardevoir, said that a good experiment might be to try speedmapping. Just get the shit out of the mind and into the editor, stream-of-consciousness work. 4-6 hours, Zandro compatibility, vanilla monsters/weapons. DUMP 1 began and it was a success, bringing a whole bunch of me and my friends into ZDoom mapping and just churning things out. Then another friend, AD_79, suggested I open it up to the public. I did, and the response was overwhelming. An unfathomable amount of people signed up for this, and we ended up with a grand total of 68 maps. A hub map, 64 normal maps, a secret map, a final map, and a Marathon map (of all things). As before, we now present to you a small hub leading to a handful of different maps. Beat X amount of maps to unlock the exit, with X being a variable depending on the difficulty level (ITYTD only requires a handful of maps, Nightmare requires EVERY SINGLE MAP), and defeat the final boss to win. Gameplay mods should be supported, though there’s been trouble in Zandronum so it may be better to use them in ZDoom/GZDoom. Pistol start is enforced, and monsters are vanilla (except for the Final Boss). As before, the primary purpose of this project is to have a way for all of the newbies to try and push over that initial hump together, to MAKE something. It’s the usual pile of quality you’ll expect from a gigawad of MyFirstZDoomMap.wad, but it was fun to band together to make shit. Again, as before, please feel free to point out any issues, troubles, errors, imbalances, and etc about the maps. Don’t feel the need to sugarcoat, give it to us straight–none of us are pro-tier mappers. We can’t improve if we don’t know what’s wrong.
they should make a third

An expansion to REKKR, that game I worked on under Revae, is going to be released on Steam.
Art is really fun, when it all comes together.
Even if something’s unpolished and unrefined, when you see that an animation is in and it works...it changes everything.
