please pay no mind to her childishness, she’s used to getting her WAY. virtue pouts and turned her face away from her visitor. pink lips pinched with annoyance. her signature heart shaped sunglasses are dangling from one FINGER as she sits on top of the crumbling church altar.

it isn’t really a WONDER that she doesn’t get a lot of visits when she lives in an abandoned church. but when you don’t really have a JOB so to speak, it’s hard to afford a house.

she GLANCES back behind the door for a moment, small face weighing up his WORDS. before she flicks her eyes back to him. NIBBLING on her plump pink lip. she opens the door and reveals that she’s all BLOODY. pale palms covered with the sticky red stuff, cute blue dress no LONGER as childlike as it once was. even her cheeks are stained with the stuff.

                    “he, he was wanted to HURT me..                                                              so i.. i HURT him.”

she explains, not WANTING to give marcus too many details of where she’s just been. 

                        “I THOUGHT i could wash it all off... but.. i made a mess.”

    “Oh, golly ---- I’m ever so sorry Miss. I didn’t see you standing there,” there wasn’t much eye contact, it was if he was avoiding it. Inserting the key into the door, he turned the stiff handle before letting her in and shutting it behind them.

     “We don’t get much passerby's anymore, not since they built the new bypass, so I don’t bother spending much time in the office.” Meeting her gaze, his cheeks burned red and he pulled out the leather coated quest book, “No point in wasting my time down here counting the cracks in the walls when I could be tending to mother.” 

    And so he asked, “You looking a room for the night? It’s seven dollars.”
