Godddd I'm grasping at straws and I know it. The dubiously canon dialogue of Sans talking about Papyrus and then immediately switching to talk about Shyren being two monsters.... Mew Mew in chapter 5 being two people sharing a body and actually physically needing one another to persist... Papyrus being able to be decapitated and still persist for a little while after...

Sans and Papyrus both had to have come from Delarune, yet Sans is the only one that bleeds. Amalgams from Undertale are monsters persisting after death. Don't bleed... Papyrus knight amalgam... gahhh....RATTLES THE BARS OF MY CAGE you have to believe me. It'd explain why he doesn't bleed in Undertale. Body has been twisted and reshaped beyond recognition into something else. Two things to make one. Idk who his other part is (probably Dess) but there are TWO of him in there.

And the reason Sans doesn't mention anything at all odd happening with his brother...? I dunno on that one to be quite frank. I think similarly to Mew Mew/Pink, there is a Ghost and there is a Body. Maybe Dess is the ghost steering Papyrus's body (Papyrus still being in some control, of course) and Dess, with external knowledge from the bunker or the lake or wherever the hell she is in the code, is trying to change the prophecy with the help of someone who is not lost (instead he's just forgotten! Been forgotten for FIVE WHOLE CHAPTERS. WHERE IS MY BOY I MISS HIM PLEASE TOBY WH

I love following your blog because I'm not aware of any other deltarune theories so every time I see your posts about knight papyrus I oscillate wildly between "this has to be some bs" and "what if they're right tho."

Yeah I go from digging into any theory I can for free information (because I can't be bothered digging them up if it doesn't have numbers...) and then scrambling back to my corner where I proceed to yell and tear everything apart until I'm satisfied.

I still find it hard to believe that the Knight Papyrus theory is so big, I've found great evidence FOR it, but I refuse to believe it because it doesn't line up with my other evidence. Yes Knight Papyrus would be cool!! But it wouldn't make sense, both with his character, and the foreshadowing surrounding him.

Of course, I also have to acknowledge that I have been hilariously and completely wrong on my predictions before chapter 3/4. I got into the habit of expecting twists and turns at every corner, I ignored blatantly obvious things and favoured ideas because I liked them.

SURELY I WON'T DO THE SAME THING AGAIN.

But yes, I have only entertained (evil) Knight Papyrus a few times, but the Knight doesn't have cage numbers which is really weird and confusing and I don't get it.. so this is my main evidence to the Knight not being Papyrus..

But the Knight is friends with Kris... and everyone who is friends with Papyrus don't like his brother and Kris clearly doesn't like him so.....

I'm kidding!! I still don't believe Papyrus is the Knight, but it's fun to give 'evidence' to torment people HEH HEH HEH

I really love your Knight Papyrus, and use him all the time in Checho's Deltarune Roleplay! I was wondering, I saw little "emotes" on his sprite sheet, and was wondering if you could ask them to add those? It would be really nice and give him more range, imo! If not, that's fine too, I still appreciate being able to use him at all!

so, he IS supposed to have all of those emotes (i submitted all of those along with his basic sprites), but they haven't been added yet unfortunately 💔💔 i'm not quite sure when they will. i even made some legend of tenna sprites for him as well!!

i appreciate the support for him though hehe, i am really looking forward to when they add those. if you are in the chechos discord maybe you could ask about him (?????) butttttt i'm not super active there so i dont reallyyy know how that would work 😅😅 anyways, sorry that's all the info i have for now!!

Edit: PLEASE fucking stop putting "well i don't like this theory at all and think it makes no sense, but-" and "I 100% think dess is the knight and nothing else is interesting, but-" and similar stuff in your tags and reblogs. I dont wanna read that shit on my post about a theory that i like. That stuff is VERY unnecessary for y'all to be adding.

The people who keep saying its "impossible" and "out of character" for papyrus to be the knight, and constently/childishly insulting and even actually harassing people for even liking the theory at all in any capacity, 10/10 are always a dess knight or kris knight person (based on what ive observed, at least) and often proves to be someone who likes to infantilize papyrus to an insane degree; as if he aint a grown ass man who happy worked for an authoritarian dictator in 3 different undertale endings (wasnt even forced too, he chose too - basically BEGGED for those jobs even while fully knowing the evil shit those leaders were doing, legit telling frisk in a phone call that hes happy to be important at all - even if its in a bad way/due to bad things. He cares more about popularity and self importance then he does morality)

Flowey is, canonically, fucking scared of the power level of papyrus cuz in the true pacifist ending he tied papyrus up with 4 vines rather then 1 or 2 like everyone else. He even claimed papyrus was the "last one" in the WHOLE cast who he started to think as "getting boring" back when he was in control of the timelines, and he only got boring after many many runs, but even then still chose to befriend him every time. Even in the timeliness where true pacifist doesnt happen and he knows he isnt able to enact his takeover plan at all.

He even chooses to remember papyrus' favorite food (dino egg oatmeal) despite it not being useful information to him in the grand scheme of things, and is canonically the only person in the cast who even knows papyru's favorite food at all. Not even sans is confirmed to fucking know it !!! And we never learn why flowey feels the need to do this, which gives an air of mystery to papyrus. Especially since papyrus is the only character in undertale who cant kill you no matter what. Dmg is known to be equal to intent with monster attacks, and papyrus is the only one who can make his attacks do 0 dmg (not even toriel can do that). Which shows an INSANE level of restraint and mental fortitude, NOT innocence or being weak. He constantly talks like/gives advice as if he was a redeemed villain who learned the error of his ways and is now working to better himself, this is especially so for the diologue during his genocide route fight.

He isnt a stupid or naive toddler, but because he puts on an optimistic attitude and generally doesnt take some things seriously, people just think hes a brainless dumbass and refuse to acknowledge that; thats not the case. congrats! He managed to fool you, just like he did everyone else in the game (except flowey and undyne). Like he was even able to fool sans in this regard for crying out loud! Yknow, sans, the fan favorite who everyone puts on an absurd pedestal and views as "the smartest in the multiverse"? :) yeah, even sans didnt know about flowey and thought papyrus had an imaginary friend or was just lying from delusion. And thats huge, imo. Its also impossible to get any pacifistic related ending without papyrus being involved, which really makes ya think huh? Toby wouldnt have gave him such importance if he was "just a dumb joke character"

Also, the knight CANONICALLY wears a helmet. And it genuinely makes no sense for Toby to put a helmet on a character with antlers, cuz for animals rhat have antlers- the antlers ARE the helmet. Antlers are already protection for the head, so adding a helmet ontop of that is just redundant. And it wouldnt be convient at all for such a character to be able to to put on/take off the helmet due to their antlers getting in the way. But due to narrator diologue it proves that the helmet comes off pretty easy when kris imagines the knight take it off. So clearly the antlers cant be apart of their actual head underneath. Like how would they even stick the antlers through in the first place? Wouldnt they get stuck during removal? It just wouldnt make sense, and I toby isnt stupid.

Hes amazing with character design, and knows exactly how to make certain designs make sense on many levels at once. And idk what y'all say- "but why would papyrus put antlers on his helmet? Thats dumb" nah bro, your dumb <3 he would do it to look COOL cuz, yknow, his whole thing is being cool and beimg viewed as cool, and antlers/horns are often seen in that light. But their also viewed as imposing fixtures of a desig, and if he were to be an antagonist of course he want people to be both intimidated And impressed at the same time with his appearance!

Now im mature enough to know that this theory isnt 100% guaranteed, and im always willing to accept its possibility of failure. But I just hate that the fandom will latch onto only 1 specific thing (dess knight), treats it as gospel/"the only true and logical answer", and then oppresses, bullies, harasses, and demeans everyone who even slightly critiques it in any way or just thinks of things differently and ends up with their own unique theory. Thinking outside the box or deviating from the majority isnt bad!!!
