           “ OH, COME ON BRUCE.  I thought it would at least get a smile out of you. ”  This time she keeps her bad jokes to herself, at least while in the office.  For once she was pleased to be indoors, the heat radiating from the room helped shake off the chill from the snow that was freshly falling now the day was done.  “ Tomorrow is a snow day and you can’t even smile about it. Not one little smile, for me? ”

    “ --- is that who I THINK it is ??” A ghost of a smile forms on cherry-stained lips, expression both wistful & wary. It’s been ages since she’d seen him last  & a knot twists in her stomach as she takes in his presence -- mood bittersweet. When they broke things off, it had been for the best. At least, thats what she told herself time & time again to help herself heal & forget. But with him standing so close, it all comes back to her, every bit of him FLOODING her senses. “What are you doing here, Bruce ??”
