AU - knightofhell!castiel rebels against the devil for angel!dean.
reverse!verse - The angel and the knight of hell have known each other for centuries. Castiel never learned the angel’s real name, but as of the modern era he calls himself Dean, so that is what he calls him, too.
Under orders they fought each other countless times, but always arrived at a draw, unable, maybe even unwilling to kill the other. Several hundreds of years have passed since their first battle and mutual antagonism has gradually turned into something dangerously close to affection.
But Castiel can’t help but feel that there is more to Dean’s interest in him than the fragile truce and not quite friendship between them.
Castiel doesn’t remember that he was once destined for something other than leading hell’s armies into battle. He only vaguely recalls being human before Lucifer corrupted him, before he became what he is now. He knows hemust have sold his soul, but doesn’t remember he did so to save someone else, someone long forgotten, too.
There are a lot of things Castiel doesn’t remember. Centuries of serving hell have stripped him of most of his true self. He knows little beside torture, blood and fire. He doesn’t remember that he was meant to be rescued by an angel. He doesn’t remember that his escape was almost successful nearly a millenia ago.
He doesn’t remember Dean.
howwww did you do the demon!eyes for Cas? 😯😲🤯
pretty much in the same way as I did the other eyes, too. I explained my process in another ask, which I’ll link here. The only thing I did differently is that I masked the iris along with the white of the eye and that I didn’t brighten, but darken the footage with the effects from the effect gallery.
For the fade in/out I let the mask become bigger/smaller respectively and blurrier at the edges, which are all settings you can find under the mask section on the effects of the clip you are working on.
