Proper Tribute

> It’s late and most of the employees of the stay over have gone to coon like normal bugs should, but not you. You frown when you find no one around the front area and while you feel bad for doing it, you decide it doesn’t matter.

> You let yourself into the back and start looking around. You find some tall dinner candles made of orange wax and a pack of matches. They’ll serve their propose just fine. And with the info you were given, you grab a small bowl of strawberries from the nutrition block.

> Then you write a note and leave some money on the nutrition block counter, explaining what you took, why and that you were paying for them regardless. You also apologize for more or less breaking in to get said items.

> Once you get back to your room, Skydad neighs sleepily at you but you ignore it, instead heading to the desk near the blocked out window and sitting down. Opening both IMs you carefully carve the names of the trolls into each candle in olden Beforian with a claw; Karkat Vantas and Terezi Pyrope. 

> You easily press a finger into a strawberry and carefully smear it over the carved names. One symbolizing the trolls love for the color red, and the other for the high-likely hood that he was a red blood like Kankri. 

> After you set the remaining strawberries between the candles and using the squashed one to mark a crescent shape on your own forehead before eating the berry.

> Like you stated, you sat there quietly with your head bowed and your hands folded as you gave tribute to the lives that were now gone from existence.

> You’re not sure how long you sit, but when the time feels right you lift your head and pick up the book of matches. As you strike one, soft words of on the spot prayer spill forth. Requesting guidance not only from the Lunar Empress but the Sundweller just as well. Asking, as you light their candles, that they give safe passage for those who have passed on. And warm assurances for those left behind to grieve in their absence.

> Making sure they were set as far away from any flammable objects, you stand from your seat and kneel properly in front of the make shift alter of tribute you’ve thrown together. Hoping out loud that those grieving their lost loved ones have the guidance they need to heal and accept the loss that they have experienced tolight.

"Who’s There?" // me, shoving karkat into sakuras arms at every opportunity; no what i love my muse whatre u talkin about

Sakura steps from behind a corner, dressed much too brightly to have blended into the shadows so well. In one hand is a simple kitchen knife, and in the other a simple point and shoot camera with a dangling charm on it. She’s wearing her signature bubblegum pink and bright white, and if not for the swimming, glazed look in her eyes, she’d be almost cute. She’s swaying, her arms and her stance wide.

“I’m here for you, darling, darling karkat-kun!” She purrs, stepping forward, her white gymshoes squeaking some against the sidewalk. Even if Karkat steps back, she’s a step ahead, quickly in his personal space. She’s in his face, eyes lidded and grin wide. She’s slow and methodical in person, a sharp contrast to her frankly chaotic nature. Her arms make their way around his waist, the cold of the knife pressing through his clothes. She nuzzles against his jaw line. “You’re not going to get away from watashi this time. Aishiteru, but if you think of getting away... if I can’t have you, no one can!”
