Belindo and Sebastian
heyyyyyy cutie ;)))) care to write some knight x prince with hurt/comfort?
(PS: don’t tell your husband I said you were sexy hotttt 🥵🥵🥵🥵)
“It’s alright,” the knight said. They sat down on the bed, hands folded. Sometimes, they were angry at the prince for giving them extra chores just to annoy them. But this didn’t feel like an extra chore. It didn’t even feel like a burden. Even though, they weren’t obligated to do this, they felt responsible. Why, they did not know. “Nightmares again?”
The prince sighed and pressed his palms into his eye sockets. Vaguely, he nodded. Judging by the tears streaming down his face, it had been horrifying. He had survived an assassination attempt a few years ago. Since then, he could barely sleep.
“I’m sorry,” the knight said. They were good at fighting with the prince but comfort was more challenging.
“You shouldn’t be here,” the prince answered. He looked up, dark circles under his eyes and a torn mind in his head. His hair was as messy as his bedsheets and he didn’t wear a shirt. More than once, the knight’s eyes dropped to his shoulders. And lower. “You should go to bed.”
“Well, I cannot do that if you scream through the night. You’re the one who wanted my chambers to be next to yours. You requested it.” It was meant as a joke. But as he looked at them and let his sleepy eyes glide down their body, he didn’t seem amused. Once his eyes were going over their facial features, the knight felt a bit hot. His gaze could really burn but he only wanted a distraction, the knight knew that. He liked the quick pleasure and the feeling of someone’s hands on him. He didn’t want them. He wanted someone.
“I’m sorry I woke you,” he said, much softer this time. Too soft for the knight’s liking. “You can leave.”
At first, the knight debated if they should just stay and try to convince the prince to let them stay but eventually, the knight stood up. He didn’t want their help.
Nevertheless, they needed him to know that it didn’t have to be like this.
“I’m probably the only one in this castle who would listen to what you have to say. I am probably the only one who truly cares, as well.”
Now, the prince smirked weirdly and it appeared to be infected by sarcasm. He stretched his arms, all muscle, even though he was bad with the sword. Coordination problem. Focus.
“Because it’s your duty,” he said.
“Listening to you is thankfully not my duty. But I’ll do it anyway because I know what it’s like to feel unheard. People may think especially you can do whatever you like but everyone at court knows this is a golden cage.”
The prince pulled his blanket closer and (finally) covered his naked stomach. The knight felt so dumb for looking at the prince the way they did. Felt so dumb how much relief they felt when his abs were covered. Blushing and cursing themselves, the knight reached the door but before they could reach it, he raised his voice.
“…actually, could you wait a few more minutes?”
“Of course.” They walked back to the bed on shaky legs but they didn’t expect this.
“You’re my knight, right?” he asked.
“Hm?”
“You won’t leave me, will you? If there’s a war or if people start to rebel…” The knight didn’t understand the question.
“Of course, I won’t leave you. I swore an oath. I will stay by your side until you revoke my duties.” They sat down again and studied the prince. Honestly, they were getting worried. Nightmares were reoccurring once a month and most of the time, the prince didn’t even remember them and just fell asleep again.
But this…
“You’re annoying but I will not leave you,” the knight said, attempting lightheartedness but it only sufficed for a sad smile on the prince’s part. “You will be a great king, you know. You care about the people and you care about money. You understand war and you understand alliances. You know how this works.”
“But I’ll have to marry and be unhappy.”
“You don’t even know who she is yet.”
“I know who she is not.” The prince looked at them, deeply heartbroken. “And that’s enough torture.”
He sighed again and intertwined his fingers with the knight’s. And slowly, it dawned on the knight. All of it made sense. Why the prince ordered them to move next to him. Why no one had shared his bed with him for the past months. Why he wanted to be with them at all times.
Why he had taken their hand.
Christ.
“They’re always about you,” he said. “My nightmares are always about you.”
*Psst!* Over here! Yes, I'm talking to you!
I heard you were looking for some angst requests...
Here's an idea...
A playboy type prince and his knight (male) are enemies w/ benefits. Prince and Knight both start to fall in love. Knight decides to confess, thinking Prince feels the same way, Prince rejects him. They fight/end any engagement they have w/ one another. Little does Knight know that Prince was threatened by his dad to stop seeing Knight
Sorry if this is kinda long...
*Scurries back into the shadows*
They brought him right into his chambers. As instructed, his wounds were cared for and they had washed his body but the clean and broken skin didn’t hide how bad he’d been injured. For a second, the prince allowed himself to let his heart stop, staring at the man who’d been his lover once.
Bandages covered his arms and shoulders, those places that hadn’t been shielded with heavy armour to protect him. His hair was longer now, more wavy and wild, and his eyes seemed to have adapted a darker shade. This rough version of him was free of the crushing burden of knighthood and though, originally, the prince had fallen for him for this exact reason — strength and the sense of unquestionable loyalty — he couldn’t deny that this wasn’t the reason why he loved him.
He loved him for his jokes and his kindness, for his skill and his attentiveness. He loved him for seeing right through him. Not for the adventure. Not for something he had been once, something that was long gone.
His grip tightened around the wineglass, feeling as so often that he might survive another night with more of it in his stomach. He knew he was getting foolishly desperate, clinging onto something bottomless that wouldn’t satisfy his needs. And yet. Did it really matter?
The guards had done their duty and so they left the prince and his former lover and the undoubtedly thick air behind. His eyes were on the guards until they closed the doors behind them and he could finally manage to look at the man in front of him.
Kneeling on both knees, clutching the gown so it wouldn’t fall down his shoulders and expose the skin, his head down. It was all he had on him. One long gown he hung onto. He looked obedient in a way that made the prince’s stomach coil.
He placed the wineglass on the table and took a few steps towards the knight, wishing they were in another land, in another time. Both of them allowing themselves to be happy side by side.
As soon as he was close enough, he snuck one cold hand under the knight’s gown and pressed it in-between his shoulder blades. There was no injury there, just a space that needed to be filled. All the knight could manage was a hiss and a trembling breath, betraying his feelings as he continued to look at the ground and kneel in front of his future king.
“Two arrows, they told me,” the prince mumbled. He felt the burning of the knight’s skin warming his own hand and with that, he felt the rising pain and the yearning for the past.
“It was three,” the knight answered and as he spoke, the prince could feel the rumble of it. Vibrating his whole body.
He was thrown back into a time before duty, remembering the soft whispers in warm summer nights and the laugh the knight would try to hide when the prince made weak promises. How they’d get tangled up in the bedsheets and how the knight would kiss the prince’s back lazily when it was time to wake up. The warm sun hitting the knight’s usually stoic face and making it all soft. The kisses. The warmth.
Youth had blinded him, had made him think he could conquer the world all alone. He’d been such a fool.
“Are you still hurt?” he asked.
“They gave me something,” the knight answered. “Makes it go away.”
Not really in control of his own actions, the prince let his hand trail upwards, hair twisting around long and slim fingers. It was still as soft as so many months ago. Gods, it was maybe even years. He couldn’t tell anymore.
“I told them to capture you, not to hunt you.”
“Well, they hunted me.”
“Then they’ll be punished,” the prince said. The words were heavy on his tongue. Seeing the knight in pain was something he’d never get used to.
“Don’t bother.”
“I will,” the prince said. “I didn’t want you to get hurt.”
“I killed like five of your knights before they got me.” Fuck. That would be difficult to fix. He’d been announced a traitor by the king. It wasn’t easy to get someone out of that accusation and the prince’s father would never revoke it. But in a few days…
“I…I will sort it out.”
“I don’t understand it,” the knight whispered. “I am your only weakness. And I don’t know why.”
The prince swallowed. He was right, the knight was his weakness and was growing more into his only weakness the more the king’s power decreased.
The knight had set up a trap with his words and the prince had walked right into it. It exposed him, exposed his feelings and made him vulnerable all over again. Something he had allowed himself to be with the knight only.
“Curse you,” the prince said and he wanted the knight to smirk, wanted him to smile so desperately but there was nothing. A hallow body, unbend and unbroken was all he got. “Come.”
He took the knight’s hand and led him to stand up. Before the gown could slip off his shoulders, the prince caught it and fixed it, trembling fingers trying to make up for all the bad they had let happen. He looked up at the knight who’d always been taller, who used to tease him about it.
For a moment, his gaze lingered on the knight’s collarbone but when he noticed that the knight was watching him, the prince averted his eyes. A soft blush formed on his cheeks and he felt like a boy again, giggling and teasing his best friend.
He pulled him with him, guiding him to the bed and pushing him down to sit on the soft blanket.
“I don’t want you to be my prisoner. Are you hungry? Thirsty?”
The knight shook his head.
“Are you cold? Do you need another gown? I think I…” The prince started to fidget, playing with his own clothes. He felt himself heat up. Gods, he was blushing again.
“Please, stop,” the knight said. “I am alright…just tell me why I am here.”
The prince took a deep breath and closed his eyes. Dropping next to the knight on the bed, he needed time to gather his thoughts before he could speak.
“The king is dying,” the prince confessed. “And I want you back. I need you. There wasn’t a moment, there wasn’t a second in which I didn’t want you. He forced me to leave you but I’ll be king soon and I…”
He looked at the shocked knight, looked at his beauty and his rawness, gown once again sliding off his shoulders.
“…I’m crumbling inside. You’re mine and I am yours, remember?” the prince said. “I…I need you. I need your love and I am greedy. I want all of you. All of it just for myself.”
“You’re promised to someone else,” the knight reminded him. “We cannot be together.”
He stood up and pulled the gown over his chest.
“Yes, but once I’m king—”
“If your father is aware of his upcoming death, then he will marry you to her in the next few days. He will secure his bloodline for as long as he’s able to. And if you break up the engagement or even the marriage, you will risk war,” the knight explained. He took in a deep breath. “Gods, I want you too. I want it so bad. I always thought violence is the only thing I’m good at but you showed me that is not true.”
He cupped the prince’s face gently, moved hair out of his face with his thumb.
“But this world wasn’t made for us,” the knight said. “We all have a duty. And ours don’t align.”
The prince grabbed his wrist just as gentle, squeezing his eyes shut when an angry tear ran down his cheek.
“They will,” he said and both knew it would bring chaos over the kingdoms.
