writing some roaringhollow slop isntead of doing my assignments yay
Also, apologies if I get any of the HK lore wrong, I’m not that invested in it, so please correct me if I make an inaccuracy (this takes place right after defeating the radiance in the ‘Embrace The Void’)
Okay without any further ado HERE WE GO, WEEEE
The light faded as the Roaring Knight returned to reality. One moment, The Radiance emerged from the sun with all its glory, the next, swords rained down upon her mercilessly as the void coiled around her to drag her down. And. That was all. It was over in less than 15 seconds. The Radiance’s light was strong, almost overwhelming, but the darkness of the Roaring Knight, empowered by the void, was stronger. She had crushed The Radiance under her blade, but what now?
The Roaring Knight slowly got up to its hooves as thier vision returned to the comforting darkness of the Black Egg Temple, now nearly completely devoid of light from the disappearance of the infection, wobbling slightly from attempting to stand on literal points for legs before their levitation kicked back in. However, from how used they were to seeing in negative light almost all the time back at Hometown, she could still see Hornet and the Hollow Knight well enough in the darkness.
It could tell that Hornet was shocked at how quickly it had returned. But then she quickly realized that the others probably could see as well in the darkness of as they could. They opened their hand, a purple beam quickly illuminated the room, it looked like it was about to use it’s tractor beam, but it didn’t, they instead held their hand there as the purple light provided an ample glow to allow the bugs to see. They were quickly alerted by Hornet that the Hollow Knight was waking up. She turned its head towards them, it saw that they were on their hands and knees, or at least, the one had she could see, and they were making a chittering noise. No coherent words, just… chittering with their mandibles, ‘no voice to cry suffering’ as Hornet said.
As Hornet went over to her sibling to check in them a rational course of action since it had a long time since the Hollow Knight had full control over themselves, the Roaring Knight slowly floated to them, titling its head. Suddenly, it felt the Hollow Knight grab onto her wrist as the propped themselves off the ground. It was startled at the unexpectedness of that action, but it also felt,.. how could they describe this… fleeting pleasure as the chitinous fingers wrapped around her armor, even if for a second. They quickly brushed it off as simply the novelty of having physical contact with an invertebrate monster, it would’ve felt the same way if it was Hornet’s hand, right?
The Hollow Knight quickly got up to their feet, the Roaring Knight could then see their other arm as the reach down to grab their needle, they looked confused, which it understood, considering they had just met minutes ago. She then noticed a crack on its head that they themselves hadn’t noticed before. “Hornet,.. your sibling’s head… is cracked” it spoke up, “I know, vertebrate,” Hornet said “that’s why we’re taking them to the healers as soon as we can!”. The Roaring Knight nodded as Hornet began to lead her sibling out of the Black Egg Temple, it picked up the dream nail and waited for the sibling to leave first before she exited themselves. However, they found themselves trailing closely behind the Hollow Knight. Weird, but they brushed it off again as they backed away slightly from them. It had completed its quest here at Hallownest, and now it was time for them to find a way to return home. But, it’s nice here, there won’t be any harm in deciding to stay here for a while longer…
Dess introduces Hollow to a car and takes them for a drive around Hometown only to to get chased by Undyne in a police car cuz Dess never got her license and was also speeding and poor Hollow doesn’t know anything about what’s going on (they both end up in the slammer and it’s then where Dess explains what a driver’s license is)
