A Yoke Fail (aka Learn From My Mistakes) Last Thursday I cast on a new sweater. And to be honest it was the first design in quite some time I was absolutely thrilled about. I could not stop working on it. 🙌 Sadly I realised yesterday in the evening that I increased too little around the neck and the yoke is not going to fit. So, I need to frog it all the way to the neckband. But before I do, I wanted to show you how you can tell as early in the yoke as possible, if it is going to fit or not. Fold it in half like on the second picture and look at the shoulder slope. If it is curved inwards then it is going to be too small and cause the neckline to push up against you neck instead of lying flat. You can see that in comparism, on my other sweaters (which fit perfectly), the shoulder is curved outwards instead. This is what you want and it is achieved by increasing rapidly around the neckband. I hope this helps! Now send me the streng to rib back three days of knitting. 😱 #knittingfail #knitgonewrong #knittinggonewrong #knittingfails #knittingfailures #herbgardenknitwear #circularyokesweater #colorworksweaters #knitting #knitter #knitters #knittersofinstagram #knittinglife #designinglife #designerlife #holstsupersoft #holstgarn #colorworkknitting #colourwork #strandedknitting #strandedcolorwork #strandedcolourwork https://www.instagram.com/p/Cojy1Oeoes_/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
