forgot to share this aaaa, my top scar vest (V1 ? maybe). this was one of those project ideas that inspired me to learn to knit. i wanted a way to have my tits out without having my tits out ig. i’m so proud of my scars and they are such a good visual metaphor for my journey and identity.

this was done in duplicate stitch on some cheap dk acrylic, but i’d really like to make one in a fingering yarn (and maybe intarsia) instead, and add stuff to the back panel.

I FINISHED THE BODY OF MY WHATEVER SWEATER, AKA THE FIRST SWEATER IVE EVER MADE, BEHOLD ME!!!

Worth noting this is pre-blocking; should be nice and oversized once washed and laid out.

I also picked the remaining colors for the sleeves! I wound them up already and have started both sleeves. I was hoping to weigh my minis and wind them into 2 equally sized cakes so I could do one sleeve, then the other, and still have them match each other, but my scale isn't accurate for grams AT ALL (telling me a 20 gr ball actually weighed 4.5 gr, be for real). So I've pivoted and broke out a second size 6 needle and am manually striping the yarn every 8 rows and pretending I'm not mad about the random leftovers. But. Look at the colors!

Seriously, look at that fade. I'm not ready.

Best part? These and all of the other yarns used in my sweater were gifts from friends/family. I'm quite happy with this project!!

There are plenty of decoy wasp nest patterns for crocheters, but hardly any for knitters. Well, I just changed that! 🐝🧶❤️

I took my frog to the library with me for my craft group, the women loved him and one kept putting flowers on his head, now I need to make him some flowers to wear!

Great Tits! No wait, they’re Blue Tits. But is that one at the end Great? I need an ornithologist.

These friends were inspired by my favorite flock of songbirds, The Court Revelers (huzzah!). I sang with them at our Renaissance Festival in August and September.
