Wip Wednesday! Actually took time to take photos in daylight. Blue sweater is the Lumme pullover. Worsted weight- going to be a deep winter sweater. Rust sweater is the Nordic Nights pullover. Going to bind off the body tonight! And then sleeve city for both of them before too long.

So many of us testers split for the sleeves in between different colorwork sections and added or subtracted length we needed. This was on my knit list for a few years and I’m glad I was able to cross it off with this test knit. I decided to go crazy with the colors and I think it paid off. No need to be this ambitious, a 2-color or even 3-color without needing to hold 3 colors at the same time looks great too. I paired 3 Selvage DK colors with Primrose Yarn Co’s Roan DK, a base I’ve been meaning to try, and I’m glad I did. It’s been almost two years since I did any knitting so it took my a few days to get back up to speed. Knitted this swatch to practice stranded color work again. The ribbing confused me the most, took me the longest to figure out how to keep all the strands on the backside. And I really kick myself not writing down the method of knitting my doll sweaters. Spent a lot of time messing with gauges. Felt like reinventing the wheel all over again. Progress on my gradient colorwork cowl. Pattern is the "Beware The Snow Cowl" by Kyla Lade. It calls for a garter stitch edge but I decided to substitute 1x1 corrugated rib for a more graphic look and added structure.
