Do you know how I like this tiny eyelet cable? 😄 I use it for my Hedera leaf pattern and upcoming new shawl design. So here is a way how I make them, it's pretty easy 😉 It's worked over 3 sts. 1. Insert right hand needle into the 3rd st. 2. Slip the 3rd st over the 2nd and 1st, do not drop the first two sts from left hand needle. 3. Work K1, YO, K1 over the remaining two sts. Then, follow your instruction for the next 3 rows. Enjoy! . Goodmorning lovely people. Do you have any plans for this Saturday? I think here it will be a day made of different things: reading, walking, errands, food and knitting. I’m working in this project these days and I’m loving it. The pattern is very simple, but playing with the colours is what it makes it special for me. This one is a custom order for no, but it will be a pattern and it will also be available in the shop. Part 3️⃣ New video tutorial: How to start shawl with garter tab. Whole video is turned out longer than Instagram allows, so it comes in 3 parts. 🔹🔹🔹 1️⃣ Using waste yarn and crochet hook chain 5-6 stitches (sts). With working yarn pick up and knit 3 sts (or other number of sts depending on your pattern) from back loops of the crochet chain. Rows 1-8: knit all sts (you will have 4 garter ridges) 2️⃣ Row 9 (RS): k3, pick up 1 st in each of 4 garter ridges, remove waste yarn from cast-on sts, 3️⃣ place 3 sts on LH needle and knit them. Then, follow your pattern :) Enjoy! . Since I'm working on new design with elongated stitches included I decided to show how I do them 😄 My earlier Golden Filigree shawl pattern also includes the elongated stitches. Here is Variant 1️⃣ how to work elongated stitches: (knit 1 st, yarn over) repeat to end; drop yarn overs while working the next row. . Here is Variant 2️⃣ how to make elongated stitches (see variant 1️⃣ in the earlier post): Knit stitches wrapping yarn twice around a needle; drop extra wraps from needle while working the next row. It's my preferred method 😊 . What variant how to work elongated stitches do you prefer? Do you know any other methods? I'm always happy to learn something new 😊 .
