Knoala Smart is an assessment tool that evaluates your child’s emotional, mental and physical development, and tailors activities to his or her unique developmental needs.
We have been blessed to have a vibrant community of parents doing activities and exchanging ideas and of course Moments with their little ones (keep 'em coming!). This active community that has made Knoala a fast success.
Now, Knoala Smart has transformed the app into a comprehensive childhood development resource, which provides activities customized to your child. A team of pediatric specialists evaluated, tested and approved each activity, and created a simple assessment tool to help you monitor your little one's growth.
We think Knoala Smart is going to be just what you are looking for. Every activity in Knoala's library is great--but which one is best to do next? Where is my little one at developmentally, and where is he or she going? Knoala Smart has the answers, and now you will, too.

Don't Feel Guilty About Parenting with Your Smartphone
The author shares a story of how he was able to spend a week working at home with his child, as opposed to outsourcing his parenting responsibilities, thanks to his smartphone and digital-friendly job.
At Knoala, we firmly believe that technology, especially mobile, provides the tools to make us better parents and to strengthen the bond between children and parents. That's why we created the Knoala App for the smartphone. You can access it from anywhere and instantly immerse yourself in your child's fun and development. So if you haven't already, download the Knoala App and give it a try! And next time you sneak off to spend time with your kids, know that the phone in your pocket can bring you closer together, not farther apart.
Check out this great post by Jamie on one of her favorite activities she found on Knoala: Hop! Skip! Jump! It is a super simple (and fun!) activity for toddlers.
A giant repository of fun, quick activities to boost critical skills in developing minds.
A new app called Knoala, developed by parents of young children, seeks to keep playtime fresh. Designed for parents of kids aged 0 to 5, the iPhone app is a giant repository of fun, quick activities to boost critical skills in developing minds.
When you first use Knoala, you’ll be asked to enter your kids’ birthdays to help the app choose age-appropriate activities. From there, Knoala can serve playtime ideas up at random, or you can use the included filter to choose something much more specific. When I searched for an artistic, indoor October activity that takes 10 minutes, for example, the app suggested making tissue ghosts and paper plate pumpkins. If spooky specters don’t float your kid’s boat, that’s OK – there are over 2,000 activities currently waiting to be discovered, with more added every day.
And indeed, that’s one of my favorite parts about Knoala – it’s not just an app, it’s a creative social network. Parents are encouraged to submit their own ideas for activities, which the Knoala staff then curates for inclusion in the app. If you want to get even more social, there’s a Twitter-like follow feature that lets you share photos of your kids’ completed activities and post comments about what worked and what didn’t.
Stuck in the grocery store checkout line? Knoala lets you turn that downtime into learning time with its video section. There, you’ll find age-appropriate YouTube clips from Sesame Street, the Muppets and more.
Need a new tall tale for bedtime, instead? Knoala also has a Story Starter section that provides you with an idea for a fun absurd story. Have you heard the one about the tiny prince who liked to take baths? How about the one about the mustachioed apple at a tea party? (I heard he found the affair to be quite a-peel-ing, ho ho ho.)
Knoala is a free download for iOS devices on the Apple App Store. To learn more about the app, visit its webpage at knoala.com.
