THE EVENTS THAT HAVE UNFOLDED THUS FAR have left Optimus with far more questions than answers. Thanks to the Forums , he is at least aware of the Cybertronian presence here , but every single one of them is utterly convinced that he should be dead. Still , that is not the only thing he's questioned since his arrival. One of the other pressing matters is Knockout himself. Last Optimus had checked , he was still with the Decepticons ; and yet , he had mentioned something about being inspired to do great things after his death.

IT TOOK HIM A WHILE TO FINALLY ENCOUNTER the other , the thick fog that has enveloped Luctenmire making it hard to pick out exactly whose headlights were shining in his direction. The weather conditions on Earth had been unpredictable enough , but this was something else entirely. He squints ( perhaps being in vehicle mode was not the worst idea , given the circumstances ) in the direction of the light - just barely being able to make out the shining red paint of the car before him.

He'd meant it when he said he would be finding Knockout outside of the forums - maybe not to kill him, but certainly not to be the welcome wagon either. Ratchet had already done a.... decent job patching him up, but it certainly wasn't aesthetically pleasing. While he wasn't nearly as finish obsessed as the bot he stood waiting outside for, he does have some self respect - contrary to popular belief. He wasn't about to just walk around with weld marks and clamps keeping him together, and unfortunately Knockout would be the best to turn to in this situation. Besides, maybe he's just a little curious to see how the whole ... Autobot thing is working out for him. If he needs an out, maybe.

He doesn't even wait for a response before the doorknob twists - once, twice, with clearly no success since the door isn't unlocked. What sounds suspiciously like a kick follows afterwards - it's a damn shame they took his rockets.

Ratchet leaves Starscream where he found him, because not only is he the most uncooperative patient he's had to work with in recent memory but also Ratchet has absolutely no desire to remain in Starscream's company for a moment longer than is needed. Besides, now that the 'Con isn't leaking Energon all over the streets, he should be in perfectly fine condition to find some hole to crawl into and hide. Starscream's good at that.

In any case, Ratchet has other business to attend to. Knowing full well that he's likely walking right into a trap, but lacking other leads regarding who brought him here and why and how, he figures he may as well see what the large key he was given actually leads to. Housing, the human had claimed upon his arrival. Well, he'll be the judge of that.

( If that is to be believed, all he can hope for is that it comes with an oil bath. He'd thought Jasper was bad, but the sand out here is something else entirely. )

But he does not see an oil bath when he manages to get the (shockingly appropriately-sized, a rare courtesy coming from a human) door open. What's in there is far worse. Primus, another one? Decepticons (ex-Decepticons, as the case may be, though the jury is very much still out on that one) are popping up left and right around here.

"Knockout? What—" what is he doing here? How did he get here? He stops himself before he can go down either line of questioning, because Ratchet can already deduce that if Knockout's arrival was anything like he and Starscream's he won't actually have any answers for him. Instead he pivots with a shake of his head. "Never mind. You mean to tell me that I spent half my day performing energon transfusions and patch jobs for Starscream meanwhile you were hunkering down in my housing unit this whole time?"
