It is dark. I can hear wood, silence: I know them. But not living sounds, not even him. It is as though the dark were resolving him out of his integrity, into an unrelated scattering of components āsnuffings and stampings; smells of cooling flesh and ammoniac hair; an illusion of a Ā coordinated whole of splotched hide and strong bones within which, detached and secret and familiar, an is different from my is. I see Ā him dissolve - legs, a rolling eye, a gaudy splotching like cold flames and float upon the dark in fading solution; all one yet neither; all either yet none. I can see hearing coil toward him, caressing, shaping Ā his hard shape - fetlock, hip, shoulder and head; smell and sound. I am not afraid.

š¤Black has some of the blackest secretsš¤
I always wondered that why does everything turn black on burning except for my mates! šš
What I said was, everything turns black on burning.
butWHY?
You know what, most of the fuels we use today are carbon based that is they have carbon in them. It's either in elemental form or combined form.
But hey, I am not only talking about LPG, petrol or diesel, anything that can burn is a fuel, be it paper, wood or a piece of cloth. Carbon plays an essential role in burning or combustion. Whenever any fuel is burnt, carbon gets deposited either on it or is carried away by smoke. This carbon is black in colour, giving the wood or paper black colour. It's not the fuel turning black, a black coat is being deposited on it giving it black appearance. The reason why smoke appear black is that it carries carbon with it.
Umm! Still have a doubt??
If carbon is involved in burning, it could have simply burnt, how come it is there to get deposited and give black colour to fuel surface?
Well, I really wanted to answer this question, but to not break the monotony, let it be a suspence.
Last question,
Diamond is also carbon based, but is it black??

Thereās a tea place in Old Town by the edge of the sea. I donāt frequent it that much these days but⦠when life gets too much, thatās where youāll find me. Drowning it all in a steaming sweet dark cocktail of coffee, cinnamon and gingerā a lot of ginger; watching the ocean outstretch like a trembling blue carpet to the other side of Marina hotel. Thereās a quiet understanding between the regularsā¦

Opinion is really the lowest form of human knowledge. It requires no accountability, no understanding. The highest form of knowledge⦠is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in anotherās world. It requires profound purpose larger than the self kind of understanding.
