Raise your hands if you know who Hurem Sultan was? No? Remember that Turkish drama fever that hit the whole world about 5 or so years ago? Everyone was watching it from Pakistan, USA to UAE and some people were super obsessed with it. Heck my sister even named her son Mustafa watching that drama. 🤣🤣🤣 #pregnancyhormones - Anyhow, while roaming on the roads of Sultanahmet Square, we saw this Hamam that was named after Hurem Sultan. Now I ain’t a history buff but I remembered that drama and I went googling right away. 🧐 - This is what I found - The Haseki Hürrem Sultan Hamamı, is a sixteenth-century Turkish bath in Istanbul. It was commissioned by Hürrem Sultan, consort and legal wife of Ottoman Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent. So she was a real person and not a fictional character?! #knowledgegained 😱 - Don’t know about you guys but I found it very interesting. So decided to do one last post in this red dress cause this is the only pic I have with this real life Hurem Sultan Hamam. 🙄 - Wana jog your memory of who and what I am talking about?
