“In the world of man, there exists three sisters, three mothers, three primeval witches.” Of the three sisters, including Mater Suspiriorum (Mother of Sighs), Mater Lachrymarum (Mother of Tears), and the cruelest, most powerful of them, Mater Tenebrarum (Mother of Darkness), the oldest and wisest of the three, Helena Markos/Mother of Sighs has fallen under the house she took shelter in three years prior. The horror, however, is far from over, for the fury of Mater Tenebrarum would be unleashed in Dario Argento’s Mystery/Supernatural-Horror film, “Inferno” (1980). 😈💀 When his beloved sister, Rose Elliot, suddenly and suspiciously disappears, whilst investigating the myth of “Le Tre Madri” (The Three Sisters), Mark Elliot (played by the beautiful Leigh McCloskey) sets out to find out what happened to her, only in the same vein as Suzy Bannion (Suspiria, 1977) Mark Elliot will soon discover the dark truth behind the house his sister was a tenant in. 😨😳 Being the 2nd chapter of Sig.Argento’s “The Three Sisters”, #Inferno was masterfully directed, beautifully shot, and the atmosphere is as disturbing and surreal, almost dream like, as one would expect from a film helmed by one of the pioneers of #Horror 😄 Few filmmakers are able to craft a horror setting in their films as gorgeously as Sig.Argento. The gothic look of the house Mark Elliot enters is absolutely stunning, very much like a painting. 😃 The soundtrack, composed and performed by keyboardist, Keith Emerson, is so awesome to listen to! Minimalism is key when creating effective musical scores/compositions for Horror films! 🎼🎧 My personal favorite of Mr.Emerson’s soundtrack is “Cigarettes, Ices, Etc.”. Dario Argento’s #Inferno receives the highest recommendation of yours truly, an avid horror follower! 😁🤘🏻 #TheThreeMothers #SistersOfDeath #PrimevalWitches #DarknessWithin #KnowTrueFear
