Kogami never announces himself. He doesn't need to. When Kogami grabbed him, it wasn't gentle but it wasn't hostile either. Gino might have called it desperate if he had to put it into words. & then he kissed him, like he didn't have the time to hesitate.

Ginoza froze. Emotions overcame him like a flood. Anger. Disbelief. Relief. He couldn't separate one from the other. His hands came up on their own, gripping at Kogami’s coat, & pulled him closer instead of pushing away. Like this was well worth waiting. Because in his head, nothing else mattered. As if the damn fool hadn't just vanished after Makishima. After losing Pops.

Reality quockly slams back.

He hated how his voice broke, but he was far from allowing Kogami off the hook.
