Four knows one rule that the others all have in common.
Do not touch other people's things.
Just...don't.
If you have any self-preservation, you should not touch other people's items.
It's like—an unspoken rule.
And yet...
What if we just looked at it?
No, Red.
Green, you have to admit you're a little curious too.
I am not!
Vi, don't encourage this please
Aw, c'mon.
We aren't going near Twilight's crystal.
Four, however, decided to ignore the storm brewing in his head as he snuck closer to where Twilight was resting.
Now—Four is no fool.
Four knows what this does, it's how Twilight becomes Wolfie.
Which is why this is absolutely a bad idea and he should not be doing it.
Despite his voices of reason (which, surprisingly, Blue and Green are the reasonable ones today), Four reached out and grabbed the shadow crystal.
It happened in an instant—one minute, he was holding Twilight's absolutely cursed necklace, and the next he was tiny.
Or, well...tinier.
He's smaller than he is in his minish form, which is pretty damn small.
Another thing, he can't fucking talk.
Twilight, thankfully, seemed to have felt his necklace being tugged and woke up, eyes darting around before glowing yellow eyes fixed onto a rainbow-coloured hummingbird on the grass next to him.
Four's feathers are, of course, various shades of his colours; red, blue, green, and purple, but there was also a fair amount of black on there too.
The rancher took a second, did a headcount of the chain, and then had the audacity to smirk. "Four?"
Four let out an angry noise, but it wasn't very threatening.
Twilight picked him up, a wide grin on his face. "A hummingbird...how cute."He laughed, poking the little bird gently, jumping when Four bonked his beak onto Twi's finger. "Ow! Little fucker.."
Four hopped slightly, staring Twilight down.
Change us back you asshole!
"You wanna change back, don't ya?"Twilight hummed, laughing a bit when Four nodded to the best of his ability. "Alright. Alright, let's go wake Sky up."
Before Four could even think, Twilight headed over and kicked Sky's side, causing the skyloftian to jolt awake.
"Wha—huh?"
"Hey Sky. We have a situation."Twilight whispered, kneeling down and presenting the hummingbird to Sky. "This is Four. He ended up in Legend's situation. Think you can help a guy out?"
Sky was oddly quiet, staring at Four, before he let out a gentle coo. "He's so cute like this.."
"He's also dangerous. Do you know how agressive small birds are?? Because they are very aggressive."
"Can't we keep him like this?"
"No, no we cannot."
Sky pouted, and grabbed the master sword, before he paused. "Can I at least hold him?"
Don't you dare.
Oh, be nice Blue..
"Sure."Twilight shrugged, handing the small bird over despite the small chirps of protest.
For a good five minutes, Sky just sat there and cooed at Four, admiting his feathers.
"Sky, it's been five minutes—"
"Okay, okay."Sky pouted, placing the master sword and Four down.
When Four was back, as himself and not a bird, he sighed in relief, only to pause when he heard Sky and Twilight giggling. "What?"
"Your hair looks as messy as your tunic does."
