The mage just had come out of the library. A book on her side, and a big smile on her face. She was excited to read the new book she has gotten from the library. Lucy enjoyed reading, it was one of her favorite passing times. Reading a book. She remembered how her mother would read books to her all the time. The blonde slightly smiled as the memory came back. She shock her head, as if she was shacking the memory out of her mind, she kept walking. "Should I got to the guild for a while?" She thought to herself, well if she did Natsu would be all over her asking about the new book she just gotten. Instead she decided to go home and read her book in peace. Somewhere she could read without being bothered by anyone, if the case that Natsu and the rest weren't at her place, like always. Don't they understand that it's rude for them to just come in without permission. "My apartment is quite calming and warm, I think I understand why they are always there." She thought once again. The thought made her chuckle a bit. Lucy crossed her finger's hoping they weren't there.

There was a ruckus nearby. The mage decided to go and see what it was, maybe they needed some help or some sort. All of a sudden she heard someone scream on top of their lungs. Her reaction was suddenly going to get her keys, but she noticed her keys weren't there. How was this possbile?! Her keys weren't where they were suppose to be? Before leaving her apartment to go to the library she remembered she left them in her table counter before going in for a bath. "Damn it!" She yelled out. Lucy still wanted to help out the people in danger even if she didn't have magic to do so. But instead of helping other's she was the one at danger. A black shadow was ahead of her, all of a sudden it ran towards her, the blonde couldn't move of how shock she was. Her mind was blank for the moment. She didn't know what to do, so she just closed her eyes, hoping everything will be fine if she does. If she counts to 3 everything will go away. "1..." She counted inside her head. "2..." A tear started to run down her cheek. "3..." Lucy tiled her head, why hasn't she been attacked yet?

She slowly opened her brown eyes. As she did a figure was few inches away from herself. Covering her.
