Bucky floats on the water, trying to absorb some of the tranquility offered by the waves. His legs are sore from a recent workout at the gym, and his shoulder still throbs from where a white supremacist in Oklahoma snagged a lucky punch, but other than that, the sun is hot, the water is warm, Bucky has a gorgeous man in his bed and not a care in the world.

Nat tilts her head. “Do you want me to introduce you? We’ve met before, so I could.”
Steve doesn’t even have to think about it. He wants to get closer to the man, commit every detail to memory. He knows he’ll be drawing James before the end of the night, putting pencil to paper to try and capture the nuances of that beautifully symmetrical face.
“Yes.”

‘When a male ballet dancer tries pole dancing’ was the title of the video. It had been uploaded by some third party scouting for hits, with the original video clearly taken from Instagram or Snapchat, judging by the crop. And it was beautiful. Classical ballet music swelled in the background as Bucky twirled effortlessly around the pole, flexing every single muscle, muscles Steve didn’t even know existed.
@trenchcoatsandtimetravel said “dance AU” and i absolutely had to jump in 😁 for upcoming chapter 5 of A Call to Motion, where Steve is a jock and Bucky does ballet 😉
Wordlessly, Zemo slipped behind Bucky once more. Pressed in, closer than before—intimately close. Dangerously. He hooked both his hands over Bucky’s shoulders then slow, so slow, he stroked them down Bucky’s arms, making a performance of the contact, of each swell and dip, lingering like an artist over his beloved creation. Like a lover in the act of seduction.
Sam watched with narrow eyes, his hackles rising at the sickening demonstration of touch. Bucky though—Bucky barely blinked. And when Zemo trailed his sly fingertips back up, then slithered one hand around the front of Bucky’s neck and cupped it, skin to skin, Bucky actually raised his chin to make room. He let it happen. The same guy who wouldn’t let Sam give him a friendly slap on the back without hissing like a feral alley cat.
Digging his thumb into the tender place beneath the jawbone, Zemo drew Bucky’s head back. Exposed his throat, and Bucky’s only response was to swallow, a delicate bob of his Adam’s apple as he was—exhibited.

After John Walker takes the serum, all the worst parts about him—his ruthlessness, his violence, his need to be special—are exacerbated. Including his obsession with Captain America and the aching emptiness in the place where his best friend once stood.
John just wants to do the job he was given, dammit. The way he figures, in order to do that, he needs to get what Rogers had. What Sam Wilson stole. Not just the fancy shield, no. That came later. What Steve Rogers had was Bucky Barnes. Best friend, ally, sidekick. Lover. The man at his six and in his bed.
If John can get Bucky Barnes, well. He must be Captain America, not that thief, Wilson.
(The truth is, John Walker wants to be Steve Rogers, and he'll do whatever it takes to make that happen.)
for keep your friends close, a HTP @summertrashsplash collab with @kickflaw 😈
He wakes up already dialing the number, chest heaving, tears streaming down his face.
“This is Steve Rogers. Leave a message after the beep.”
The voice is different, yet somehow exactly the same. Big or small, old or young, it never mattered. Just hearing the recording makes something in him unclench.
for i can tell when you’re lying, a whumpy FaWS re-write 😈
