Kohaku Aoki's VCV update!

My UTAU, Kohaku Aoki VCV voicebank is still a work in progress but I can at least hear her sing in the background and have a good view of what she sounds like compared to her CV. I kinda recorded her a little lower than her CV so she sounds a little different in lower notes but still captures my voice just fine.

She also got a design update! (shown below, I will show the whole character sheet when her VCV is out). People can still use her old outfit if they ever wanna draw her. I just want her to have something that she can wear if she's ever featured on stage aka illustrations with stage as a background. I always thought that her current outfit is too simple and casual especially when the featured song is too upbeat and idolish for her current get up.

Project Synthesis part 1

(Note: I wrote this one after recording my UTAU, Kohaku Aoki a year ago. This is her origin story)

It was 3 in the morning when the last piece of metal finally made its way into the humanoid body. The creator wiped the sweat that was forming on her forehead, relieved that her work was finally done. Her project was an android, made and looked different from her. At first she had no idea why she made such a thing and for what purpose after it was made, but she had always been interested into artificial intelligence and its ability to be human-like and become self-aware as they develop. She decided that if this android does the same like in the movies, she'll assist her in becoming a good person, one with understanding of one's emotions and good will.

She powered the android using the charging portals installed at the back of its body. It took a while but the electricity didn't work. The android is still lifeless.

She worried as she had no idea what went wrong. Did she missed a number, was her calculations wrong? She went back an reviewed her notes, and as she went by them, she felt a little down, thinking what made her create such a huge project. Now that she left the tech organization that she was previously working with as a quality analyst, there is no reason for her to create anything anymore. No projects to be done, no calls to be answered, no more emails that needed answers so why does she feel...melancholic?

Feeling her own thoughts eating her from the inside, the urge to sing something emerges. At first, she hummed, and then she sang, realizing that there is no one who will hear her except herself. She continued on for a while until she realized that there is someone who was singing with her. She looked at the place where the voice was coming from and it came from no other than the android that she created and realized that she was now sitting upright, looking at her with a curious look on her face as she continued the song she was currently singing. They look at each other for a while and after an awkward smile, the Android waved at her and said "Hi!"

Regarding Kohaku Aoki's Voicebank future releases

Following Kohaku Aoki's VCV voicebank, I think the next project for her would be creating a soft voicebank for her and a dual pitch since her vocal range is already wide.

I will test the recordings for the soft voicebank into a CV format first before creating a VCV vb for it since recording for a VCV is way more difficult. Plus, I am still testing things for now so I think creating a CV would be the best choice.

I will give up creating a new utau for now since my attempts on recordng just ends up into an accidental Kohaku voicebank even if I was trying to make my voice sound different lol

Merry Christmas everyone!!! Kohaku Aoki VCV voicebank is finally out!

It took me a long time to actually oto.ini the whole thing but I'm glad things work out just fine.

Heyo! Been talking to you on YouTube but had a genuine question:

Since Kohaku is in her idol arc(and we LOVE her idol arc btw), would she be willing to participate in "a typical idol thing to do"?

(As stated in certain anime, sometimes friends that are idols will date each other for a short time or even pretend to date to promote certain work they've done together, such as duets or even movie roles.)

If so, would she need an explanation or would she go along with it anyways? How would she feel personally? We all know she's not a heartless robot.

She will go along with it but she probably had no idea what is going on in the first place as the concept of love and dating is something she didn't really understand and probably thinks of the whole thing as a normal "hanging out"

Sure she has feelings but she only known familal and platonic love so far due to her spending most of her time with her creator before and didn't really went out that much which makes things hard and awkward for those people tried to do a romantic pretend date with her. She'll just keep having a confused face whenever they do romantic things with her so in the end, her co-idols will just hangout with her normally, and let the fans speculate and do the shipping pairing ideas for themselves.

For Kohaku, she treats everyone as her friend but who knows? Maybe she will meet someone who can activate those kind of feelings for her.
