fr tho. it’s just baffling to me that, when an author writes a story (be it a book, tv series, movie whatever) with an under 18 protagonist and there’s either a time skip at some point or just a gradual progression of time through the course of the story that puts them over the age of 18 no one bats an eye. Like, ever. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone raise a fuss over that.
Cause, you know, people age. Time passes and ppl get older lol
But as soon as a *fan* decides to do something like that w/ their favourite character(s) suddenly everyone is up in their business about them wanting to sexualize minors (which, no; for one thing not every aged up scenario involves sexy times, it could just be aging them up to write about something that they-the fan-is familiar with, like college aus) and making horrific accusations like, wtf?
