Heyyy now that AoT finally ends I just wanna say thank you for making, and curating top-notch Levihan and the Vets content. I'm feeling emptiness because I dislike the ending, but to see that Hange and the Vets live endlessly in ways I much prefer through fans creation, I feel at ease. So thank youuu ㅜㅡㅜ

I just want to drop by and say how glad I am that you're back. You've always been one of my fave writers since the get-go, and truthfully when you were out, I lurk in your AO3 a lot. Just the ingenuinity of your plot and character building, the details in which you make the Reader character not just as the platform for the canon character, but also as a believable, relatable personality that I can't help but to sympathize with. I don't think I have ever seen a writer invest as much thought in building the Reader character, so I really appreciate your knack for it.

I was really excited to see that you're back. I hope you'll stay for awhile. And oh, please, thank you so much for the follow. I didn't expect it because I used to interact with you in anon all the times, so it did make me giddy!

I wish you well always! And can't wait for the project you're building with the other authors!

i’m glad i could make you giddy! i got pretty bad about following people back on the old blog just cause i had a good ratio of different media popping up on my dash. but now, i’m rebuilding! so like, if the blog looks good, i hit that follow button!

as for the fics, i know reader inserts need to be, like, templates of characters more than anything for people to get invested, but that doesn’t sit well with me. typically when i write, i have an OC or what i like to call “ideal mel” in mind, so some personality definitely comes out. and that takes some people out of it, but meh. i at least try not to add a lot of physical descriptors. but pretty much every MC has some sort of backstory, and i think that goes a long way in development, especially in longer fics like Fragments and the collab fic i’m working on right now.

it’s nice to hear someone appreciates it!

Hey! I just wanna say that I very much love your works. There were couple of instances when I was talking with my friends about AOT and I mistook your HC as canon just because the way you describe the characters so accurately. It got mixed up in my mind sooo much!

I also wanna say thank you... Lately I've tried to write fics of my own, and whenever I got stuck and fear that I was getting out-of-character, I go to your works as a reference on what the characters would do in certain situations. I... really hope you don't mind, though? Thanks a lot, once again!

oh hi Hayley... I'm having this mini starstruck when I saw you follow me, because Compromised was one of the first AoT fics I read here in Tumblr and I was like, "Holy shit this is so good. I gotta try to write." so yeah.. that's that. Writing has really taken things off of my mind a bit, and I'm so thankful that you wrote the fic that became an encouragement (and also aspiration). [On Hanji's death] Honestly I think Isayama had grown fond of Hanji to the point where he gave them a deathless death, so to say? In a world where everyone is bound to die in a horrific manner, I think Hange's death is almost the best way to die? To die doing something they were very passionate for their whole life. Hange's end was truly beautiful for me (please stop me before I cry)...

I agree with you Kojin (and I feel you about the crying part lmao). The fact we never saw her dead body or brutal death was indeed bittersweet. We even got the reunion scene, which Yams never drew for anyone (let's ignore the fact he debunked it lol) and frankly, this really was some kind of pain killer for me and my mf broken and shattered heart lol

Still it doesn't change the fact that her death was indeed unnecessary, unjustified and unexpected. I feel like whenever a major or partly important character died, there was a reason behind it, no matter how allegedly stupid it was (e.g. Mike's death was supposed to show us how scary monke was; the same with Levi's first squad and the female titan). And no matter how I look at things, I just can't finde a proper reason for Yams to kill Hange off at that point of the story, but for shock value or he was just sick of drawing her anymore idk I can't get my mind to stop looking for reasons, when in fact, there aren't really any. Although I gotta say, with the "Hange beast titan theory" I was hoping Yams would make up for his big ass mistake, but he didn't. Maybe I'm even saltier because I was hoping for it and maybe this has clouded my vision even more. Maybe it really isn't about Yams, but it's about my inability to accept her fate and the fact that not everyone dies a reasonable and heroic death. Just like in real life, I guess. Still, I can't deny I'd wish this would have happened to anyone, but Hanjo. No one deserved the treatment she got, but she deserved it the least.
