how do you feel about the titles sir and mister, and about being called them? i'd love to hear if you have a something to say about the tendency for other people to assume that someone being dominant (either as a switch or as someone who is she/her) means undertaking patriarchal pet names during sex.

personally I like using “sir” for other people when they like it but definitely not for myself. i tend to lean towards feminine terms: miss, mommy when I’m feeling it, but I’ve been thinking about trying out daddy in a queer partnership

i think the tend towards a masculine dom and feminine sub is absolutely patriarchal in the same way that submission is seen as feminizing and weak and dehumanizing for men. i get that sometimes that’s a “kink”, but I hate when people assume that because I dom that means I want to hurt them (something I’m not into), feminize them (mostly men, also something I’m not into because ??), or peg them (again assuming that domination means penetrating…)
