KawaiiBabe ???

I recently bought their “menhera kei nurse” tee, impulsively, because impulsive. I didn’t take a good look at it, but the photos also make it near impossible to see the exact details of the shirt. Tbh “menhera kei” should have been enough to deter me but I like to live in the edge.

It’s a replica, and a very bad one at that. This US store dropships from China, and I was confused when I received a Chinese package with no indication it was from KawaiiBabe. There is nothing on their site that even suggests this.

And after tearing the shirt from its plastic sleeve because the print was STUCK TO IT, I saw this.

Right. Okay but.

What is this mouth?? Where is her nose???? More importantly, what is this awful color plastic bag feeling decal on my shirt??? I’m not going to list all the things wrong with it, but I will show you the saving grace that allowed me to get my $40 back for this sad, sad piece of clothing.

Yea. They forgot a finger. Bless.

Thankfully, support was very kind and did issue a quick refund, and then said I can keep my shirt as a gift and gave me a discount code. Ok. But no. The shirt itself is made of a really nice fabric, I’d wear it if I could, but that print man. Let me show you a side by side comparison okay? Took the photo right off their site and placed it next to the original.

Basically, what I’m saying is:

1. Menhera “kei” isn’t even a thing and @fymenhera has a post all about it; it’s “Menhera” not “Menhera kei”

2. Even though KawaiiBabe is nice, their products are dubious quality replicas.

3. Don’t buy from an uneducated shop even if it’s cheap. I’m not insulting anyone, I honestly think if a “brand” or “seller” doesn’t know what the crap it’s talking about then DO. NOT. BUY.

4. Watch for shops that don’t use brand names. For example, their Gudetama pillows are called “happy egg.” Pusheen is simply “cat.” KiKi and LaLa? “kawaii cuties.” I can’t tell you where any of these photos are from, but they are inconsistent with backgrounds and modeling. Their shoes? I can’t even start.

5. These prices are close to the original prices of the replica’d items. Don’t fall into the trap like I did. Google search them images!

6. Don’t read their blog omg it’s so cringe.

I have a talent for rambling so I’ll shut up now, but just watch out ya’ll. I’m sad I have to say this, but do some research on an online-only store before you give them your money. I didn’t because I’m stupid; don’t be me. OK THANK FOR READING YES BYE BYE
