Rikki honestly deserves more love! They have such cute designs and Crystal Hearts will always be one of my favorite fanseries from them!

commission for @kokoruu!! thank you so much!
“Kokoruu/Rikki's artstyle is one of the cutest in the fandom. It's so expressive and lively, and I always look forward to seeing their stuff and characters!”

“Rikki is so sweet, they give away free art all the time and never ask for anything in return!”

@kokoruu replied to your post “@syntaxeme replied to your post “It’s been a long time since I’ve...”
oooh no that makes me so sad, i was so hoping it would be good :(
If you think you’d like it I think you should still see it! It seems I’m in the minority as far as tumblr’s consensus so there’s a good chance you might still really enjoy it. It seems like it’s one of those movies where critics hate it but the public likes it more? It’s not deeply flawed and ultimately it’s message is a really sweet and positive one, I just think this movie deserved better.
For the art meme- The first thing I noticed about your art is the focus on simple shapes to build form and I love it !!! Paired with your super crisp lines it makes everything really bold and solid looking. Your faces and body types are very diverse as well and I don't think any of your characters could be confused for one another because of that. Also I'm super jealous of your ability to make minimalist designs look so good ;w;
Ahh thank you Rikki! Spoken like a true art student wehehe
My favorite thing about your art is that your sketches actually look like things???? Like how do??? Your art has a very art school sense of flow and composition that makes things really appealing to look at, and your comedic expressions really make me giggle :’)
your style is so fun and cute and good, where do you find such amazing clothes for people over a size 12???
thank you!! and well you see I HAVE MANY, MANY, MANY LINKS
main spots:
obviously bc i’m broke and live in a city i do a lot of shopping at fat21
but when i want something a little more premium and i’ve got the scratch, i spring for asos curve, which btw runs really big, i can wear up to a size 26 in a lot of stores but i’ve never purchased over a size 18 with asos
lane bryant is my go to for bras and dressy tops
torrid for pop culture t-shirts that make me feel cute, and great printed leggings that are more likely to survive my thighs
i also happen to have a few good thrift stores around me that somehow manage to carry great plus size stuff (in the usual tiny quantities, but whatever), including a place where i’ve gotten multiple vintage dresses. and honestly the most important advice i can offer about thrifting is: grab what you think will even remotely fit if you think it’s cute, try it on, and DO NOT let your feelings get hurt by a piece of fabric. if it doesn’t fit, move on, don’t sigh about it, try on something else until something fits. and if nothing fits? something else SOMEWHERE else or SOMEDAY else will fit. it’s never the end of the world. maybe this advice is condescending idk but it’s something i wish someone had told me years ago lol
some indie brands i covet:
