mini drop : did you guys know that back then, when i was still living in my home country, i insisted that the grandma near my house who owned a mini store ( we call it a sari-sari store ) let me take over for a while so she could rest? it helped boost my confidence and socializing skills because a lot of people came to her during the day, and since i had to do a lot of talking, i was able to learn more words in my native language. after that, i started selling my own stuff ( sandwiches, ice candies, burgers, ice creams, milkshakes, pasta, and other things ). i even used to massage people for money! i remember one time when my aunt drove to the house just for me to massage her, and i got 50 bucks

also, when i visited my home country after living abroad for a year, i worked as a waitress and barista for a bit at a café. i also tried babysitting, and the kids were so cute—in my opinion, those were really fun. i’d definitely do those again when i officially move back
