Kol often came here, mostly for the hats and the playful banter that came with them. The sayings on them were always over-the-top, which he found hilarious. He wore his proudly (his had stating too complicated ) as he sat in a booth, waiting for his order. Leaning back, he smirked and looked around.

"It's pure comedy, seeing the nicknames they put on these hats, yeah?" he said to the people nearby.

Kol didn’t pull the skateboard out often anymore. It was more of a relic from a younger version of himself—before suits, before expectations, before everything had a weight to it. He’d taken the board out partly to clear his head, partly because the path led past one of his brother’s favorite spots. And if he was honest with himself, there was still something addictive about the rush Xcaliber gave him—the wind cutting past, the brief illusion of freedom that came with speed.

As he carved down the path, a figure drifted into his line of sight.Kol didn’t slow.“Watch out,” he called, the warning edged with a crooked smirk as he swerved smoothly around them, gliding past with the easy precision of someone who’d done this far too many times.

He glanced back over his shoulder, dark amusement flickering in his expression “You should be careful.”

Maybe he was chasing the kind of adventure that came with a rush of adrenaline—which explained why he was at Xcaliber Dome in the first place. The crowd was a decent distraction, and the rides? Definitely fun. Honestly, he didn’t see a downside. Whether there were Virtues around or not didn’t matter. What did matter was that he enjoyed a good challenge. So maybe he’d dared Adeline to show up. Or maybe he just happened to find her here, in the same place, at the same time. Coincidence? Maybe. Maybe not. “Do my eyes deceive me, or did you finally show, Adelaide?”

Since the trial ended, it ended on a successful note. Kol was a little surprised by the difficulty of the trial, but also that Edgar had made it across. He didn't know what to make of it, or even if he was processing the whole ordeal. All he kept hearing about was what his father was saying about it. What did Kol like doing best? distracting himself and surrounding himself with people who knew him best. His siblings. When he called Laurie over, it was to unwind; the setting was in his office area, away from the music and noise. "That was some event." he stated as he opened a bottle of bourbon and offered his sister a glass.

When he wasn’t at Cherry on Top, he chased the thrill—nothing got his adrenaline pumping like the Dome. It always amused him that Jaren had chosen this place to own, though he had to admit, it suited his brother.

As he walked through the grounds, his gaze landed on someone in the crowd. He’d seen her around his sister before but never got the chance to know her. Her name started with an L… Lili? Lila?

“Lilith,” he muttered as the name finally clicked, realizing he had spoken aloud.
