PAIRING | Kol x Reader, Father figure!Elijah x Reader
GENRE | idk tbh
WORD COUNT | 2k
WARNINGS | The word ‘death’ and ‘dead’. I think that’s all.
SUMMARY | After endless years of mischief with Kol by your side, it wasn’t long before you caught feelings. And although you never admitted it to each other, Elijah was determined to make the world know.
A/N | This was drafted for a while. I don’t know how to feel about it, or if I should make a part 2.
You were told from the beginning that involving yourself with the Mikaelson family would only bring harm to yours, but how could harm be brought if they were already dead? As far as the years have passed, the Mikaelsons were your family – although minus the blood, they did everything to protect you. Especially Elijah, who thought you to be like his daughter.
Since the invasion by corrupted witches into your home, you were left an orphan, and it wasn’t long before you came across a famous Original vampire. Elijah Mikaelson, whom gave you his word to protect you with all he had, also gave you a home – another family. Back then, you were merely nine years old. And since, you’d been taught every martial art known to man – not that it really came in handy considering you’d been guarded every second of your life. Elijah wanted you to learn as a precaution.
Wherever you went, one of them had to come along. Even at school, whether it be Kol, Rebekah, or even Klaus himself, Elijah promised to never leave your perimeters unprotected. But one day, the family had made a mistake – they left their guard down and invited a pawn of the enemies’ into their home. You were taken and Elijah never let himself live it down.
Of course, it wasn’t long before they found you; will is a strong thing. But that one mistake left Elijah paranoid. No matter how much you tried to convince him of your strength and capability to look after yourself, he wasn’t convinced. Even if you shared the most atrocious words with the enemy as if you shared the surname of the Mikaelson’s, Elijah thought it to be foolish, and made you promise your detachment to their disputes. No matter how strong he thought you were as a human, you were nothing compared to a supernatural.
You knew it was his way to keep his word in protecting you, but you couldn’t help but feel underestimated. Rebekah promised you that it was his nobility that kept him stubborn. Sometimes, she believed you to inherit his stubbornness as if you were actually his own. Because once, even after one of Elijah’s lectures about your safety, you and Kol still snuck out of your home to investigate the reasons to your blood family’s death.
You were obviously caught a half an hour later. Elijah’s timing was impeccable, and Rebekah, who was too concerned about your safety, couldn’t sit back and watch as Kol snuck you out the back of the Mikaelson’s property. You’d learnt that the investigation was a waste of time anyway, for your father figure had already known the chain of events that lead to your family’s death. He told you the reasons were too hard to bear for a mere thirteen-year-old. You trusted him and gave your word to back off until he thought you were old enough.
Spoiler alert: you were never old enough. Even as an eighteen-year-old, he wished to never tell you the truth of your family. So as his compensation for not giving into your curiosities, he finally backed off his overprotectiveness and allowed you to sneak out with Kol every night.
Even as Kol hid you behind the bushes as he searched the outside premises for any prying eyes, Elijah pretended not to notice – often, his disguise was sleep. And when he heard his brother’s voice declare the clear, he stood and watched through the window as Kol picked you up and sped you to wherever you wished to go.
Kol sat beside you at the bar, a drink in hand as his eyes gazed over the crowd for any potential blood bags. A smirk played on his lips. His eyebrows were furrowed as if he’d been picky of his next meal. But known by everyone, he had never been so; food was food. And in that moment, all he had been doing was mask the butterflies that fluttered in his stomach as you stared at him.
You, obviously, didn’t know of that. You’d been convinced of a little change in Kol and his sudden interest in a good blood diet. “If you must know, my blood type is red,” you told him, a joking smile on your lips. You finally pried your eyes away from his face and his stomach settled.
“I know, darling,” was all he said before he took another sip of his drink.
You coughed. “Well, if you must know, it also pains me that you won’t take my offer,” you admitted, and he peered at you. He didn’t miss the way your eyelids fluttered down for a second before landing on the crowd once again.
He sighed. You had told him of your wish before: you wanted to experience the feeling of being drank from, but he didn’t want to hurt you. Never in a million years. “I can’t drink from you love,” he told you and you looked at him, an idea blinked in your head.
“How about from a glass then?”
Your little schemes with Kol landed you a good spot in his heart and it wasn’t long before he began to kneel at every word that fell from your lips. So often, he was by your side annoying you out of your days. Together, you continued your little schemes and time and time again, you found yourselves causing little mischiefs with random couples at the bar.
But once you hit twenty, the schemes became boring and all you wanted to do was stay home, relax, and hang with your Mikaelson family. But relaxing was always an issue with them for the household always had disputes with the whole of New Orleans. You’d learnt that they were cursed with their rising anger over the years; so, one day, when you were feeling nostalgic, you ran into Rebekah’s room and convinced her to throw a little get-together.
“Honey, please be a darl’ and put this over there,” she told you as she handed you the empty esky.
It was the same day you convinced her to throw the gathering – only, a few hours later (you ran into her room at 2 in the morning). The two of you decided to bring the party to yours and Rebekah’s shared home you had bought earlier in the year when you’d begun to get tired of the boys’ riffraff. You decided the location was suitable for the get-together as Freya had cast a cloaking spell around the house right after your purchase, just in case if the boys wanted to disturb you further. It was the perfect place for an enemy-free zone. You just had to ask Freya to cast the spell down for a few minutes to let the boys in.
After you’d put the esky beside the grey cushioned couch, the door flung open and Kol stood outside of it. He stood still with a smile on his face, “well, are you going to be a darl’ and let me in, or are you going to just stand there and be pretty?”
His compliment made your heart flutter; you almost wanted to tease him. But as far as you and Rebekah had set up, the place was still too organised for a Mikaelson ‘bonding’ time. So you invited him in and he assisted you with filling the esky up.
Once three eskies had been full of alcohol, and Rebekah had set the snacks on the coffee table, it wasn’t long until the famous duo of the family trudged through the front door with more snacks and drinks in hand. With no surprise, Elijah arrived in his familiar attire of a formal suit whilst Klaus wore a tight-fitted grey shirt and plain jeans. Freya and Finn were a no-show as they went out of the city for business.
The time was spent just talking amongst each other as you drank the night away before Rebekah came up with the idea to place Truth, Dare, or Drink. You had to disagree with the notion as the game had a history of turning for the worst, but it was four against one and you had to play. So for the game, you moved from your original spot on the floor and sat on one of the couches, in between Kol and Elijah.
Then, it began. The person to ask the first question was Rebekah since she requested the game. She asked Klaus the first question and it wasn’t long before the male got tipsy. For the rest of the game, Niklaus always seemed to be at the receiving end of disgusting and controversial dares and truths, before he decided to eventually take a nap beside his sister.
“I’m afraid I may have asked too many questions,” Rebekah joked as she caressed her older brother’s blond curls. “Shall we continue?”
And continue, you all did. But this time, Elijah was at the receiving end of the ridiculous truths and dares, and unlike Klaus, he had no secrets to tell and no reputation to uphold. He practically stayed sober that night.
“How would you feel to answer a question?” Elijah smiled at you as he pulled a stray hair behind your ear. You smiled in response and nodded. “Truth, dare or drink, my dear?”
“Truth,” you answered, and the older male smirked. In his eyes, you saw a glimpse of light where an idea was formed. As if he contemplated his decisions, he pulled his bottom lip between his teeth for a second, before he took a deep breath.
“Have you caught feelings for my brother?” He asked you, an eyebrow raised in a curious manner. He had been meaning to ask the question for months but never found the chance to.
“I…” you stuttered. His curious gaze had you tear yours away from his. It felt as if the air was getting thinner, and you weren't too sure what to say. “I guess Klaus is okay,” you told him, shakingly. You hadn’t answered the question properly and Elijah was peeved.
“You know well that’s not whom I speak of,” he told you, tilting his head to catch your lowered gaze. “I meant Kol.” His voice was hard – set in stone, he was so determined to get you to answer. If only you hadn’t answered the question in the first place, you wouldn’t have gotten in the situation.
Beside you, Kol smirked and gave his brother a thankful nod, but Elijah merely kept his strict façade and didn’t react to his younger brother’s gestures. Although Elijah wanted you to be happy, he wished Kol wasn’t at the interest of it. Out of everyone in the world, he wished Kol wasn’t in the top three for the causes of your happiness. He loved his brother, but he didn’t like the fact that you loved his brother.
With a hesitant nod, and your voice shaken, you told him, “Yes, I like Kol.” The couch against your back was suddenly the most comfortable piece of furniture you’d ever sat on, and you wanted nothing more but to be swallowed whole by it.
Elijah wasn’t surprised with your confession, nor was he happy. He was merely neutral with his expression as he stood. And with his head held high, he turned to his brother, “very well. Kol, truth or dare?” The eloquence in his speech only added to his intimidating nature.
But Rebekah wasn’t fazed, she was more so annoyed. As she raised an eyebrow and rolled her eyes, she stood to shout at Elijah, “that’s not fair! It’s not your turn!” Still, Elijah didn’t peer at his sister, and kept his hard glare at his brother.
Kol wasn’t one to be easily intimidated, but Elijah was his older brother. Anyone smart should know that when Elijah is mad, you should be scared. So, with a shaky, quick glance to you and back to his brother, he almost whimpered, “dare?”
Elijah cracked a smile. “Very well, I dare you to leave.”
Hey!!! today is my birthday could you maybe write an Elijah mikaelson imagine please?
Happy Birthday love!
Warnings:- OMG!!!! So much fluff ☁️
Summary:- this is more than just a suprise birthday party for you.
It was the night before your birthday everyone was home sitting in the living room deciding rather we should say arguing about which movie to watch
You were in the kitchen because until then everyone decides which movie to watch u had enough time to do the dishes. You could hear everyone arguing over which movie to watch and u were laughing while doing the dishes hearing sassy comebacks of kol and Rebekah.
While u were busy doing the dishes u felt arms around ur waist and u turned around to find Elijah hugging you tightly.
"Babydoll, why are you doing the dishes?" Asked Elijah kissing ur cheek.
"Because I knew we had some time before everyone agrees to watch one movie" u said and he laughed.
Elijah grabbed ur wrist and took you to the living room where everyone else was. He took u to the middle of where everyone was sitting and Elijah pulled u in for a tight hug and you were shocked but hugged him back.
"Happy Birthday love" he whispered in your ear.
You quickly looked at the clock and it was dot 12.00 am. Rebekah shouted "HAPPY BIRTHDAY Y/N" and joined u both for a hug and so did everyone else.
"Happy Birthday little human" said Klaus and joined in for a group hug.
In the morning you were woken up by Elijah kissing ur cheeks and lots of forehead kisses.
"Good morning baby" he said in his morning voice.
"Morning Elijah but I swear i am sleepy, u didn't let me sleep last night remember?" U say and try to pull the covers over your head but Elijah is quick to grab the covers and pull them to the side.
"I know darling but u need to get up" he said with a smirk remembering everything u both did at night.
"Come on get up sleepy baby" he said and carried u bridal style to the bathroom where he had ur bath ready.
"Thankyou Elijah"
"Anything for u love"
After u had ur bath u went downstairs and Rebekah found you and she wanted you both to go shopping but u really wanted to spend some time with Elijah today.
"please y/n, come with me please" said Rebekah.
You did not have the heart to tell her no. She was the sweetest girl u ever met. You both were bestfriends.
"Okay let's go" u said and you and Rebekah both went to get ready to go shopping. Before going with her u gave Elijah a quick kiss.
"i will miss u baby" Elijah said.

" I am not brother. Trust me". Kol said
"Really?" Said Finn.
"Okay maybe" said kol.
"I am not going to lie i am a bit stressed now seeing you all. This needs to be perfect." Said Elijah.
"Don't worry Elijah. I am here. Everything is gonna be fine. I just called Rebekah and she said we still have some time" said Freya.
"Okay, let's get to work then" said Elijah.
All of them did a beautiful decoration near the lakeside. Everything u loved like Fairy lights, pretty colours balloons and everything u ever wished. All of them got ready before you and Rebekah came home.
*. *. *.
As soon as u both reached home u saw that the house was quiet.
"Rebekah where is everyone else" u asked her.
" That's not important y/n i have something for u come upstairs quick" said Rebekah.
You went upstairs and found out Rebekah picked a beautiful gown for you and she gave you some beautiful jwellery to go along with it.
"Rebekah, this is so beautiful! But why?" U asked.
"Suprise, now come on get ready" she said.
U thought all of them planned a suprise birthday party for you even u told Elijah that he doesn't need to.
U wore that beautiful dress and did ur hair and while u were getting ready u found Elijah looking at you.
"When did u get here?" U ask him.
"Just now darling, u look so beautiful i can't take my eyes of u pretty girl" he said and walked towards you.
He wore one of his fine suits. You blush at his comment.
"You look handsome to Mr. Elijah mikaelson" you say to him.
He comes close to you and turns you around so that u face the mirror and he starts kissing ur neck. His hands wrapped around you.
"Elijah" u say.
"look how pretty you look baby, all mine" he says and u blush again.
"Y/N, come downstairs if u are done" shouted Rebekah from the living room.
"Let's go baby" said Elijah.
You both went downstairs and Rebekah was practically staring at how beautiful you looked.
"Staring at my girl sister" Elijah said to Rebekah as u both reach downstairs.
"You look gorgeous y/n" said Rebekah.
"Thankyou" you blushed.
*. *. *.
You all reach the place at the lakeside where the all the decorations were done by them. It was beautiful. Kol, Klaus, Finn, Freya all of them were staring at you when you were walking towards them.
"You look beautiful y/n" complimented kol.
"Birthday girl now come cut the cake please" Said Rebeka.
You cut the cake and everyone was celebrating when u felt a tap on your shoulder you turned around to find Elijah on his one knee.
"Omg! Elijah" your eyes widened. You were surely not expecting this today. Tears filled your eyes.
Elijah was on his knee. He pulled out a beautiful ring and looked at you.
" All I can say to you baby is that you are the love of my life. You mean the world to me. You are the most beautiful, talented, smart woman i ever met in my entire life. The first time I saw you i knew I found someone with whom I would like to spend my entire life with. You taught me what love really is. The day you came to live with us the house started to feel like home for us. Words are not enough to explain my love for you. Darling, this is more than anything I felt before and everything that I want. I found someone who was worth the wait and all the years of my heartbreak but now i know that I found the one i love. Y/N PLEASE MARRY ME"
Your eyes were filled with tears.
"Yes Elijah. Yes" is all you could say and he slipped that beautiful ring on your finger and he kissed ur hand and got up pulled you in for a kiss.
Even kol and Rebekah and Freya were teary eyed seeing both of you.
"Finally you guys are getting married. CONGRATULATIONS" said Rebekah.
All of this. All of ur reactions and all the event was secretly recorded and photographed by Finn and Klaus.
While everyone was enjoying their drinks Elijah saw u were alone for a second and he came behind u and hugged u again.
"i can't wait to spend the rest of my life with u, sweetheart" Elijah whispered in ur ear.
"Me too Elijah" u blush.

Smut: “We’re in public, you know?” And “Bend over.” from prompt list 2 with Kol Mikaelson?
141.“We’re in public, you know?”
143.“Bend over.”
Oooooh I’ve been waiting for someone to request my boy Kol! I love him so so much!
===================================
You were able to bring Kol back from the ancestors with the help of some very old magic you swore you would never touch again...
But you had to bring him back. You need him, and he needed you. It was a struggling year without him, and of course having to control Klaus didn’t make anything better. You and Kol had known each other since before he became a vampire, making you one of the oldest living witches.
“Hi darling,” Kol whispered, standing in front of you in his real form.
“Kol,” you sniffled, standing up to rush into his arms.
“Oh I missed you so my love, you’re even more beautiful than I remember.” Kol smiled, twirling you around.
“I missed you more, being apart from you feels like the other half of me is missing.” you whimpered, shoving your face in his neck as you cried.
“I’m here now, and this time I’m not going anywhere.” he reassured, pulling your face back to kiss you sweetly.
=========================
You had taken Kol to Rousseau’s to celebrate his return, dancing and drinking away. You had latched yourself to your lover, fearing that if you let him go for even a second he’d disappear. Kol kept a protective had to your lower back, leaning down every now and then to place a kiss to your forehead.
It was incredibly sweet, but you had other ideas. There was nothing you loved more than riling him up, and that’s exactly what you wanted to do. You were turned to the side, facing him as you watched him take a sip of his drink. That’s when you made your move, taking your hand and placing it right on his manhood. He nearly choked on his drink, pushing your hand away.
“We’re in public, you know?” he chuckled, dodging your attempts to grab him again.
“Mhm, so?” you smirked, this time he let you feel him up.
He hardened at your touch, but he had enough as he pulled you to the restrooms. You giggled because you knew you were in for it, making sure to cast a spell to where no one could enter while you had your fun.
Kol slammed you against the wall, a moan leaving your lips. You smiled up at him, his response being a growl low in his chest.
“You think you’re cute don’t you darling? Getting me worked up in front of all those people.” he spoke, tilting his head to the side.
“I love seeing you riled up for me.” you breathed shakily, moving your hands down his chest. He stepped away from you, pushing you to towards the sink.
“Bend over.” he grunted, removing his jacket.
You did just that, making sure that he could see the thong you were wearing under your short skirt. He cursed under his breath, the telling sound of his zipper being heard as you panted with anticipation. He flipped your skirt up, palming your ass cheek before landing a swift smack.
“Not even wearing proper underwear, naughty.” he spat, pulling them down.
You wiggled your ass at him, earning another smack. You giggled which quickly turned into a squeak as he entered himself inside of you. Kol sighed in relief at the feeling of being connected to you, his heart beat picking up at the sight of you bent over for him.
It didn’t take long for either of you to release, the built up tension of being apart for so long made the physical contact more intense than before. Kol pounded himself inside of you, the only noise being your moans and skin slapping. You gripped the sink tighter as your legs started to shake, Kol having to weave an arm around you to hold you up. His other hand grabbed a fist full of your hair, yanking you back to kiss you sloppily. It was teeth and tongue, fighting to taste the other.
“Kol, ‘m gonna cum baby.” you whined.
“Cum for me my love, let everyone know who fucks you this good.” he growled, moving his hand from your hair to rub your clit.
You screeched his name, Kol not falling far behind you as he released into you. He kept rubbing you through your orgasm until you had to push his hand away. He pulled out, adjusting his pants before sitting you up on the sink. He bruised his lips with yours, fingers digging into your skin to leave his mark.
“I love you,” you whispered, caressing his cheek with your thumb.
“I’ve loved you for a thousand years darling, and will continue until someone kills me for real.” he laughed, helping you clean up before heading back to your apartment.
Summary: Kol makes a deal with the Hollow to revive the first woman he ever loved. Unfortunately, things don’t turn out the way he expects them to.

-
❝ my life's just a faded memory of what i can't have ❞
A marriage to a Mikaelson was unheard of. In the thousand years the Originals had been alive, they'd been focused on one thing and only thing only: survival. They moved, every few years or so, to a new city, doing their best to escape the wrath of their father, Mikael. When word reached Mikael of where they'd settled, it was Klaus that prepared the arrangements for their departure. They would flee without sparing another thought.
Perhaps that was why Aniya was sat in the foyer, twisting at her rusted, bronze ring. Moonlight streamed through the curtains, and light jazz music bled from the streets. Truthfully, she wasn't supposed to be awake. Rebekah had brushed out her plaits and sent her off to bed not four hours ago. In another world, she might have listened.
But Niklaus had given her the bedroom next to Kol's. She supposed it was some kind of punishment, though she wasn't sure who it was aimed at. Even when she'd stepped into the compound, dirtied and drowned in her own blood, the Mikaelsons had looked at her as though she were a stranger. To Freya and Nik, she'd even been seen as a threat. Some sort of vessel for the Hollow, whoever that was.
It was Niklaus that demanded a 'head-dive,' though she wasn't sure what that meant. It wasn't until the bastard appeared in front of her and grabbed her head in his hands that she'd realized what he'd meant.
It felt as though all of her memories were being pulled out of her head.
There was no way to know how much he saw, nor was there any reassurance that he believed her in the first place. He was silent when his hands fell to his sides, his face void of any emotion. It was only after Rebekah had snapped him back into reality that he dragged her up the stairs and showed her the room she would be staying in.
The room itself was beautiful, with two windows and a balcony that hung over Bourbon Street. When Aniya slept, she could hear the inebriated laughter of the people below - a far cry from the chanting she would hear a thousand years ago. In any other world, she might've slept with the same tranquility as an infant.
Sadly, the soft jazz and laughter was quickly drowned out by the wails from the other room. They would come at two or three in the morning, like clockwork. Often accompanied by shattering glass and the name 'Davina,' falling from her husband's lips. In another world, she might have blamed him; but how could you expect loyalty from a spouse that couldn't even remember your name?
It was two o'clock now. The foyer was across the compound, as far from Kol's bedroom as she could get. It was moments like this that she was thankful the ritual hadn't altered her hearing. Because for now, she could pretend. She could tell herself the only reason she was awake, was because she had drinken too much tea earlier that day and couldn't bring herself to sleep.
She could tell herself her husband would wake in the morning and become worried when he realized she wasn't there. She could tell herself their marriage had lasted longer than two weeks before she passed, and the wedding rings they'd exchanged weren't made from their father's dulled swords.
And in the early morning hours, she could tell herself she was happy with how things had turned out. That she was happy to be alive.
"What are you doing here?"
Aniya was met with the cold glare of her dear husband. The jazz music seemed to fade away, the sense of peace she'd felt disappearing in an instant. "I couldn't sleep."
He seemed to scoff at that. A bitter silence filled the room as he crossed to pour a round of bourbon into a clear glass. He drank it immediately, lightly wincing at the taste before pouring another. Truthfully, Aniya hadn't expected him to come here. Usually he was locked away, and Elijah would make an effort to leave food at his door. Of course, he rarely moved more than a crumb.
"You should eat." The statement went ignored as he drank another glass. "Rebekah says Originals can still die."
"Death is temporary, darling." His voice was hoarse, the remark had physically pained him to say. Even the world 'darling' tasted like poison. "Trust me."
The younger witch leaned back in her seat, pulling the warm blanket over her shoulders. Rebekah had only owned silk nightgowns, which were particularly useless when it came to warmth. She would have been given other clothes if she was meant to leave the house, but Elijah had made it a rule that she couldn't leave until she fit into modern-day society. That, of course, would start with her hair.
Long hair had been popular in the New World. Every morning, mothers, daughters and sisters would twist each other's hair into beautiful plaits, decorated with flowers and herbs. Aniya had been making an effort to grow her hair out since she was a child. Now, her raven-black hair had grown past her waist, falling just above her hips in waves. Rebekah braided it into plaits each morning when she noticed how uncomfortable it made her.
She still remembered the smile on Kol's face when he ran his fingers through her hair. He'd tried, once, to twist her hair into a simple braid. She could hear him cursing beneath his breath, and eventually cheating when he muttered a spell that embelished her hair with forget-me-nots and baby's breath.
If she closed her eyes, she could still see the adoration in his eyes when he called her beautiful. She held onto that when she'd died. Truthfully, it was the only thing she'd had to hold onto, spending a thousand years in darkness. The thought would leave a smile on her face no matter how many times she thought of it; but now, the memory made her throat tighten. Perhaps she were better off in that darkness.
"Why do you hate me?"
The Original's glass clattered on the countertop. His eyes were trained on the decades-old bourbon.
'Hate her?' He glanced at the strange girl. She was curled into a ball, bandages trailing up and down her arms and legs. His sisters had given her a choker to wrap around her neck, concealing the slash on her throat and the wound at the base of her skull. She'd refused to let Rebekah heal it, muttering something about a boy named Vihaan. Part of him wanted to believe her story -- to understand what had happened to her, and to comfort her; but no matter how hard he tried to dig into his memories, he was met with an impenetrable mist, and he couldn't bring himself to fight against it.
Instead, he stayed behind it. Ran back to the memories he knew to be true, and placed a wall between the two of them. Whatever she was hiding, he didn't want to remember.
"I don't hate you."
"You're lying." Aniya looked up at him, her brown eyes seeming to challenge him. "We haven't even spoken since the night you found me."
"Darling, I haven't spoken to much of anyone since the night I found you. Need I remind you Niklaus isn't exactly jumping for joy at the fact that I risked everyone's life in favor of..." He trailed off, then drowned his sorrows in whiskey once more.
"Davina Claire." Even when it was Aniya herself, the name still managed to cut through to her very soul. "I've noticed. Who is she, Kol?"
He winced, her words seeming to burn into his skin. "Someone. No one."
"You're lying again, and not very well," She sat up. "Was she human?"
"A witch," He kept his eyes trained on the windows, almost afraid of looking her in the eyes. "The Hollow was meant to bring her back."
'After I killed her,' Kol wanted to add. Was that what he'd done with Aniya? Killed her? Had he gone to kiss her and murdered her in his efforts to be a good partner to her? Locked away his memories, and gotten a witch to lock away the others?
"Why not bring her back yourself?" She said bitterly. "From what I remember, you were quite powerful."
Kol's chest grew heavier the longer he spoke. "Nature requires balance. Witches are a gift to nature, while vampires are an abomination. Any ability I had to practice magic disappeared the moment I died."
It came out harsher than he expected. He was a powerful witch. His mother's bloodline produced the strongest witches known in history - she'd created the spell that turned his siblings into vampires. Before he'd died, he'd even considered writing his own grimoire; write down all of the spells he created so he would be remembered by the generations to come. Perhaps if he'd kept it, he wojld have been able to save Davina. Taken her from the ancestral plane before she was punished any further. God only knew what consequences she was facing now.
"Do you miss it?" She spoke softly, staring down at her hands. She ran a finger over the scar on her left palm, murmuring, "You never went a day without magic. No matter how useless the spell was, you were always practicing. You were like a child with your favorite toy."
Finally, he set the glass down on the counter, taking a step closer to Aniya. "Did you?"
She chuckled, "I did. But the magic I had before is different from the magic I have now. Whatever spells you put in front of me, I likely wouldn't be able to complete them."
"Why not?"
Aniya cleared her throat, her hand trailing up to the band around her neck. Kol's face was riddled with confusion as she shook her head, eyes beginning to scan the foyer before landing on a glass above the fire place. A wilted bouquet of red roses - likely a gift for Rebekah. Perhaps she could find a way to break his amnesia. To remember her, even for just a moment.
She quickly set it on down the table, eyes fluttering shut as she began to mutter the spell beneath her breath. It should've been easy. It was a spell she could have recited in her sleep. The spell had been taught to children when they were barely old enough to read - if there was any spell she could do, it had to be this.
"Sit cadunt folia," She whispered, hands floating above the petals.
The Mikaelson boy sat in silence, watching the witch with intrigue. It'd always been his favorite past-time to watch witches perform magic. Though, this time, it'd been different. The longer she chanted, the more distorted she would sound. It was as though he was hearing her from underwater. Even his vision had begun to go, his sharp vision suddenly becoming hazy.
Perhaps he'd had too much to drink.
Fortunately, she'd stopped, unable to even begin the spell. When she was a child, she could feel the adrenaline rush through her bones. The feeling would have leave goosebumps along her arms, leaving her hyperaware of her surroundings. She could hear the wind rustle through the trees, could feel the ground beneath her shake at the slightest movement.
Now, she felt nothing but embarrassment. She'd wanted the spell to work. Not just for Kol, but for herself. If she could continue practicing earth magic, she could turn away from the magic she'd been reborn with. The magic she had been sacrificed for.
"It's all right. You're weak right now. The last thing you 'ought be doing practicing is magic." He'd said it offhandedly, his focus still on returning his vision to normal.
"I wasn't sure you cared," she murmured, pulling her knees up to her chest.
Kol glanced up at her, his vision beginning to focus. As she ran her finger over her hands, he couldn't help but sigh. It felt as though there was a part of him yearning to be closer to her. To comfort her, and tell her that he did care for the little witch despite every bone in his body that told him to stay away from her.
"You should rest." He stood up, going to leave the room. "I'll have Rebekah make you some tea. It'll help with the insomnia."
The Mikaelson boy disappeared down the hall before Aniya could say another word. Before he could catch a glimpse of the faint smile ghosting across the young girl's lips.
Your key was freed from the ignition and you snatched your crossbody bag from the passenger seat, throwing it over your shoulder as you stepped out of your car. The moonlit sky wrapped over you like a blanket.
The sounds of your heeled ankle boots echoed along the pavement while you strutted towards the Mikaelson compound, the creaking of the aged gate filled your ears when you just pushed it open.
“Kol! I’m here!” You announced in the courtyard, noticing that there is nobody in sight. Dead or alive.
“Hello, dear Y/N.” Elijah said, appearing from the shadows. “My brother should be down shortly. Please sit.” He gestured his hand towards the nearest seat as he sat on the one beside it. You obliged.
“Thanks.” You noticed the half full decanter on the table in front of you, so you helped yourself to a glass of bourbon. It was rather difficult for you to keep it down the last few times you’ve had it, but you ended up becoming used to the taste overtime. “How about you?” You asked as Elijah eyed you with an unreadable expression. He nodded in response and you proceeded to pour him a glass.
“So what kind of mischief do you and my brother plan to get into tonight?”
“Oh you know, I plan on having a few Hand Grenades while we go from bar to bar on bourbon street.” You shrugged casually, sipping from the glass.
“Do keep an eye on Kol for me, will you.” Elijah implied, drumming his fingers along the table. “I don’t doubt that he plans on sinking his teeth into the tourists.”
“He’ll be fine, Elijah. He listens to me.”
“Splendid. However, you may call me if you need me.” He murmured, raising his glass to cheers with you.
“Got it.” You said.
After the bourbon passed through, Elijah cleared his throat before speaking. “As much as I’d like to keep to myself, I must admit that you look magnificent.”
“Thanks Elijah.” You glanced away nervously, caught off guard by the compliment. “That’s very nice of you.”
“Do join me for coffee tomorrow if you are not under the weather from tonight’s festivities.”
“Um. Yeah. Sure. I love coffee.” You said. Elijah smiled softly in response.
“Alright, darling. Let’s get out of here.” Kol announced lightly from the top of the stairs, making his way to you.
“It’s about time, Kol.” You rolled your eyes playfully before flickering your eyes from Elijah to Kol. It was difficult for you not to notice the noble Mikaelson sustaining his stare towards you.
Kol grinned at you, bending his arm out and you locked arms with him. “Well well well, don’t you look a treat?”
After walking a few blocks under the night sky with crowds of people walking about, you and Kol ended up on the ever so lively bourbon street.
You stopped inside a bar and downed your first hand grenade before Kol did. It wasn’t like him because he always finishes before you. You figured he wanted to take it slow this time around.
“So you plan to meet with Elijah tomorrow?” Kol asked.
“Um probably. Yeah. Why?” You raised a brow in curiosity, completely caught off guard. It was odd to you that Kol would ask such a question when normally he’d be focused on having fun with you and the drunkards.
“No reason.” He said.
The music must have not been Kol’s taste tonight either because he didn’t bother to bob his head or hum along to the tune, so you found it as your cue to head to the next bar.
There was a live band playing at this one and you nearly dragged Kol inside to get a better look. After a few seconds, you looked from side to side and noticed Kol was not beside you. You shrugged it off, assuming he left to get your drinks.
“Hey Y/N!” A female voice called behind you and you turned around.
“Oh Camille! Hey!” The excitement from your buzz was not a secret. You gave her a quick side hug before stealing a generous sip of her drink.
“Someone’s thirsty.” She chuckled.
“Sorry. Kol’s taking forever for our drinks.”
“Kol?” Her brows furrowed, briefly pointing at the bar with her thumb behind her. “I was just at the bar. I didn’t see him.”
“Really?”
“Yeah.” Camille replied.
You hummed. “He must be in the restroom then.”
You shrugged at Camille’s response and shifted to face the jazz band again, nodding your head in contentment from the artistic sounds.
After a moment, you noticed Kol still hasn’t returned so you excused yourself from Camille and searched through the crowded club for the original. Still, he was nowhere to be found so you checked the front and nothing. Finally, you freed for your phone from your crossbody bag and called Kol’s cell phone.
The chimes of a ringing phone sounded from around the corner. You gingerly followed the source, muddled as to why he would be lingering so far away without telling you. You found Kol in the alley of what looks like he’s kissing a girl’s neck, but you know exactly what he’s doing.
“Kol! Get away from her!” You whisper shouted, marching towards the duo.
He released his fangs from her flesh, gazing into her eyes. “Patch that up, darling. You’ll remember nothing.” Without hesitation, the poor girl gave into his compulsion and went on her merry way.
Kol stood tall to face you, his cocky grin covered in human blood. “You’ve ruined all the fun.”
“Dammit Kol. What is wrong with you? You agreed that you won’t feed on people when you’re with me.”
“Pardon?” He snickered. “It’s Elijah who’s quite popular with keeping his word. I for one, prefer to do as I please.”
“Where is this coming from?” Your irritation flared. “Who are you right now?”
“I am in no mood for 21 questions tonight and my meal has scurried off because of you, so I must find another.” He spat as he walked past you.
“Kol stop it.” You rushed to him and stopped him in his tracks once you got a hold of his wrist. “Tell me what’s wrong? Who upset you? Was it Klaus again? Because I know you Mikaelsons only act out of character when you’re angry.”
“Try the other brother.” He snatched his wrist from your grasp as if your hand was lava. “I see you enjoy his company far more.”
“What? What are you...Wait.” You scoffed in disbelief. “Are you mad because I’m having coffee with Elijah? If so, then...then I won’t.”
“No, Y/N. Don’t stop on my account.”
“Okay then, why are you acting like this? You’re my best friend. We tell each other everything.”
“That’s all we’ll ever be.” Kol glanced away, refusing to allow the frustration to get the best of him. The last thing he wants is for tears to run down his cheeks.
“Okay?”
“You’re so bloody oblivious, Y/N.” Kol clenched jaw and he sighed heavily. “I want more than that, but I know you’ll choose Elijah.”
“Excuse me?”
“He’s the better choice,” Kol continued, “He’s always the better choice. He’s the noble one. He’s the one you deserve.”
“H-how do you know that?” You asked, scanning his expression for a clue to his thoughts.
“Because I know you won’t choose me.” The original sighed. “I don’t deserve you. I’m too reckless and my brother is all put together. You don’t notice, but he only sees you in a room.” He paused briefly, desperate eyes still set on you. “And so do I.”
“Um...I mean...it’s flattering, I guess. But I don’t look at Elijah that way. And you...you’re my best friend. What if it doesn’t work out?”
“Does that mean you feel the same?”
“Yes.” The answer spilled from your mouth.
“Brilliant.” Kol beamed with delight.
“But I’m scared.” You glanced away nervously.
Kol frowned at your response, gently placing his palm to your cheek. “Why? You know I’ll never hurt you.”
“I know that. But I’m just afraid to lose you, Kol. You’re my best friend.” Your palm connected to his hand on your cheek, tone softening. “Just promise me that no matter what, I won’t lose you as my friend.”
“Of course, darling.” The corner of his lip quirked up as he relaxed his arm to his side. “You have my word.”
A wave of relief hit you. “Great.” You muttered.
“I say we celebrate with a drink.” Kol intertwined his fingers with yours, placing a kiss on your finger before strolling back into the bar.
request from anon// Klaus cheating on reader with Caroline
warnings// minor language, reader feels unworthy, but fluff and angsttt! also, my first Klaus one-shot, so I'm sorry if this isn't great!
You were siting on the bed in your hotel room, staring at the dark walls. Your phone had been going off for a quite a while now. You immediately turned it off with aggressiveness. You’re quiet sobs now filled the emptiness in the room. You tried to reprocess everything that had happened in the past few hours of your life. And the reason for it all; Klaus Mikaelson. Where the name would give some shudders, to you, it gave butterflies. Klaus was this unexplainable, complex, intricate being. Everybody thought of him as this self-centered, murderous ego-maniac, but nobody knew him like you did. He was this kind, caring, and loving person, and you loved your hybrid with every piece of your heart. You had been the happiest with him, here in New Orleans. The Mikaelsons were like family to you. You were treated like a Queen by everybody, but you never took that position. You were far too self-less, compassionate, kind, and loving. And that was the exact reason Klaus loved you. You put everyones happiness ahead of yours, never put yourself above anyone, and did whatever you could to make sure that people around you were untroubled. He also loved how cheery you were. Always smiling, incredibly intelligent, being awkward, and not caring of what other cared of you. You never let your sadness be shown to the world. That was just not the light you wanted to offer people. You bottled up your feelings, and you were so good at it, faking your pain, you could’ve won an Oscar. For the past few months, you had been breaking apart. Klaus Mikaelson had broken your heart, piece by piece.. You found your boyfriend of 3 years, on top of Caroline Forbes. Although you were trying to convince yourself that Klaus couldn’t have done this, you truly knew he did.
A FEW HOURS AGO:
You walked in to the Mikaelsons home after shopping with Rebekah, also one of your best friends, for what seemed like hours. Rebekah had decided that she wanted to go visit Marcel, so here you were lugging in tons and tons of clothes, accessories, and other foolishness that either one of you didn’t need. You knew that today, every Mikaelsson, except Klaus, wouldn’t be home today. Elijah with Hayley, Freya and Kol, out and about, so you had the mansion to just Klaus and yourself, and you were very excited. You both did not get a lot of time alone, so whatever you had, you really did cherish. You put down the bags on the sofa, and quietly walked up the stairs to the room you and Klaus shared, ready to change out of you maxi-dress, and into some sweatpants and a tank. You could’ve sworn you heard a girl in the room with Klaus. You tried to use your vampire hearing to hear, but nothing was clear enough. You walked closer to the door, you could’ve sworn that anyone from miles away could’ve heard your heartbeat. As you peered in through the door, that was opened the slightest, tears welled up in your eyes. Klaus and Caroline were in a intimate moment. You choked on your breath, and began to walk away, ready to sprint down the stairs. But Klaus had heard you. He chased after you down the stairs, trying to slip on his clothes.
He was yelling your name. “Y/n! Love, come back, please, I am so sorry, just let me explain”. But your thoughts filled up your mind, blocking out his words. Tears were freely flowing down your face.
Klaus grabbed on to your wrist, apologizing over and over again, and all you could do was stare at him. You were utterly shocked by his actions. And then it washed over you. “Let me go, Klaus. Don’t fucking touch me” you screamed, within sobs. He let go of your wrist just standing and staring now. He knew he was wrong, that he had made a mistake, that he had just lost the woman of his dreams. He had let Carolines and his old love come in the way of the woman he was going to ask to be his for the rest of his life.
You walked out of the doors, you tears covering your vision straight into Kol’s arms.
“What is it, darling” he asked with worry. You just buried you head further in to his chest. Crying so loudly now.
“Just stay, Kol. Please, just stay”.
“Don’t worry love, I got you, its going to be alright” he said as he rested his head on yours, hugging you tight.
“I just want to go away, far, far, away. I need to go, now” you said, wiping your tears after a couple of minutes.
“Y/n, please tell me whats up so I can help you. You do not need to go anywhere, I’m here with you”.
“Klaus, he...cheated on me” your eyes welling up with tears again. You’re not gonna cry you told yourself, nope, not for him. Kol just stared at you, and engulfed you in his arms, saying kind words.
“Ill come back” you said, “ I just need some time alone to rethink”
“Let me come with you, y/n”
“Thanks Kol, but I just need time alone, just me and my thought”. He hugged you one last time, and you left.
Now here you were. In a hotel not to far away. You knew about Caroline. How much Klaus had loved her, and how much heart break he had been through when he wasn’t able to attain her love. You saw her, here and there, when you and Klaus took a little trip to visit the Salvatore brothers in Mystic Falls. The way Klaus looked at her, you knew that love was clearly existent between the two. Everybody talked about it, too. Klaus and Caroline. The tale of the two love birds. Some saying how she was dumb not to pursue him after how much he changed as a person after being around her, and other saying that she was intelligent for not going after the man. Whenever her name came up, you sulked a little on the inside. You had convinced yourself that she was far more gorgeous than you, and Klaus had every right to like her more than he liked you. But then, when Klaus had confessed his true love for you, you forgot all about her. And yet, here she was, with your boyfriend, proving yet again that Klaus would never feel the same of you, as he did of her. And that was the one thing that made you feel like utterly and completely useless. Minutes and hours passed by, and you feel asleep. Until you were woken up by someone gently pushing your hair back, you were ready to spring up and tear the person apart, but you knew the familarity of this person. Of their soft hands, and the scent of bourbon and leather. It was Klaus. And he was crying. He saw you slowly sit up, your red, tear streaked face. You looked away from him making sure not to make eye contact.
“How’d you even find me”
“The GPS on you phone, love” Klaus said.
That damned phone, you thought to yourself
Before you could even open your mouth to tell him to leave, he started to talk.
“Y/n, I understand if you do not forgive me. I am truly unworthy of your love, undeserving of you. What I have done today, Ive never felt more bad about myself. I never wanted to hurt you, ever. That was one thing I told myself I never would’ve done. Caroline, and I, that was just the heat of the moment. I did not know what went over me. I didn’t mean to do it. The last thing I have ever wanted is to lose you, and when you walked out of that door, I’ve never felt a greater emptiness in my life. I have never valued your affection, warmth, and spirit more. I know that I am wrong, and trust me, I do loathe myself for it. For the man I am. In the past centuries, Ive been alone and broke, but when I was blessed with you, you healed all the sorrow in my life. I am beyond fortunate for you. I feel like the luckiest man for having you as my girlfriend, my lover, my support, and my happiness. And I know, I put a big tear in our relationship today, but I will do whatever it takes to make it up to you, to convince you that I am worthy of your love. Forgive me, darling” And a single tear fell down his face. You wiped away the tear, and pulled him into a kiss. One that meant, forgiveness, love, and new opportunities. “Klaus, what happened today, broke me in a way that I never thought it would have. You made me feel as if I was unworthy of loving, and that I was never good enough. Ive tried, tried so hard to not let the way Aurora, Camille, or Caroline looked at you. The fact that they were far more better for you, than me”.
“Don’t say that. I have never loved anyone more than you. No one is as amazing as you, y/n, and it astonishes me that you don’t realize that. Your everything I’ve wanted to be, and more. And the fact that i wake up next you every morning, and that I get to call you mine, is unbelievable to this day. I promise you, with the enitirety of my heart, that I will never hurt you, ever again. I love you y/n, I love you so much”. “ I love you too Klaus, and I forgive you, but do that again, and I will surely put that White Oak stake through your heart, and drop your body at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean”. You both laughed at this, and you fell asleep in Klaus arms, till morning came.

You work at a Fashion Company, and you just got home and it’s around 5:00 PM. You open the door and look around for Klaus but he’s no where to be found. You step forward and feel something under your heels, you look down and it’s a Rose petal. You follow the trail until you get to a letter. It says” I Love you, For all that you are, all that you have been, and all you’re yet to be.”
You crinkled the paper into your heart and smiled. oh how lucky you were to have him. he meant the world to you. You walk closer and find another note, “Take my hand, my <3 and my soul, because it all is meant for you.” again you smile like crazy and excitedly walk into the dining room. You see a beautiful set up on the table, Red roses, a candle, all your favorite foods and a note. You pick up the note and it says, “ Oh y/n, i know you’ve been having a rough week so to start the weekend i’ve planned a divine evening for us. p.s look behind you love.”
You turn around and there is standing the man of your dreams. he is holding a bottle of White Wine and two glasses, you smiled and gave him a kiss while helping him with the glasses. “you really didn’t have to do this you know.” he took a sip of his wine and smiled brightly, “I like to spoil my girl.” you bit your lip and looked down and smiled.
Both of you finished your dinner and he got up and held out his hand, “come on, you didn’t think this was it did you” he said while smirking. You grabbed his hand and followed him out into the yard. It was gorgeous, there was fairy lights hanging in the tree, and a big white sheet hanging up with movies on the side. You quickly understood what all of this was, you remember telling him about how when you were little your dad would do this with you. you look at Kol and he smiled, “You remembered” you said a tear creeping down your cheek. He smiled and put his hands around your waist. “Of course baby.”
You guys sat and watched old movies all night. You yawned and Kol noticed and picked you up bridal style carrying you up to you guys bedroom. He ran you a hot bubble bath with a glass of Wine and rose petals. You sat up and got in. He walked in and put a robe on the sink then smiled and said to relax and enjoy yourself. You were so lucky. You finished your wine and got out and put a robe on.
You Walked out and Grabbed a tank top and a pair of pajama shorts, got dressed, and crawled into bed. He wrapped his arms around you and pulled you closer, playing with your hair and kissing your cheek. You stared into his eyes and put your hand on his cheek and said, “I love you baby” he smiled and said, I love you too baby girl.” And both of you drifted off into a deep sleep.
Well here you go Love!! It’s not perfect but i hope you like it babes.<3
