I also could not help myself and got another commission from @love-is-a-pearl of Paul and the kids!! They truulllyyy knocked this out of the park, I’m blown away with this piece!! I’m so in love with it!! 🥹🩷🩷
I’m not sure if people remember my Paul lore but
and paul initially has very complicated feelings about fatherhood.
he doesn’t have a good relationship with brandon since brandon blames paul for his mom leaving him and they never make it past that, paul’s scared of becoming a parent because he doesn’t want to end up like his father, or worse, have to face the fact that it’s actually very easy to love his kids and that it’s not hard at all + he was never unloveable just that brandon sucks (which he does have a meltdown over because he instantly loves pj so much) … and then ash is trying to feel out paul’s reaction like, “do you want kids” and paul’s like, “no never. i don’t trust myself to not mess up some poor kid” and ash has to be like “🥺 I’m pregnant” and paul of COURSE loves him and is like “… i will try… i won’t be perfect though”
Paul decides that he’s not going to be his dad and that he’s going to step up and slowly throughout the pregnancy came around to the idea of being a dad :) But once he’s on board he’s not doing anything half assed. He and Reggie build Jr’s crib themselves (only for the baby to not use it LOL), he spends months setting up the nursery (only for them to move the crib into their room skdhjd), doing typical dad things!!
also an updated family tree to help decipher the kids :3c
You know you're going to have a lot of fun writing for a character who cannonly does the most atrocious shit to reach his goals only to paint the most beautiful pictures of the person holding his affection and leaving beautifully wrapped gifts for them in the next moment.
https://pin.it/nlYM6TEMt This here is the Pinterest storyboard of your house. Not 100% but it's a rough idea of what I picture it to be.
WARNINGS: Violence, I think that's about it
Between the ages of when you were young enough to know any better and up until you were 14, you always thought you were related to Harry Potter. I mean, you grew up with him, treated like him. You also had magical powers just like him. But in your third year, everything came to light when you met your Dad, Sirius Black. However, you still treated Harry like a brother because that's all you knew; he was your Dad's godson.
But you reconnected with your Dad over the years and got to know him more. And he taught you about your Mum who died at your birth.
And then, he died. And all because of Bellatrix Lestrange.
After the war at Hogwarts, you decided to move away and start a new life. And that's when you came upon the town of Mystic Falls.
You instantly fell in love with it and the town folk were nice and welcoming. And so, you bought a nice country cottage just on the outside of town. You also bought a bookshop right in the town centre. And you loved it. You still had visitors from your friends like Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and his family, Hermione Granger and even Draco Malfoy. Draco and yourself had been friends back in Hogwarts, even though the golden trio didn't enjoy it that much, but you never let them come in between the two of you.
You also made new friends with the people who lived in the town like Liz Forbes and her daughter, Caroline Forbes. Elena Gilbert, Damon and Stefan Salvatore, Bonnie Bennett. And even when the Mikaelson's came to town, you met Rebekah and the two of you hit it off quickly.
And that's how you met her brother, Niklaus.
He wasn't liked by many people and you understood why but at the same time, you've met many bad people and he was better then a lot of the others. He had also been nothing but nice towards you so you really had no reason to be mean to him.
You never told a soul about your past or what you were though. Not even the Mikaelson's. Niklaus had a crush on you and you had one on him and it kind of terrified you. You wanted to date but you didn't want to drag them into the world you knew.
Niklaus tried hard for you to go on a date with him. And you tried your best to resist him before you finally broke and let him take you on a date. And it was as magical as you thought it would be but it terrified you at the same time. You weren't even sure what there was to be afraid of.
But after the first date it turned into a second date which turned into a third date and so on before it took until the fifth date when Niklaus officially asked you to be his girlfriend. You couldn't say no. You liked him too much. And so you agreed.
You didn't move out of your home to live with him though. Nor did he move into yours. Though at times it felt like we moved in with each other since we were together quite often.
He would also hang around you when you were working in your bookshop. He was like your own personal body guard, not that you had any weird people come in but if you did you knew he'd be there to help you if you needed it.
It was getting harder and harder to keep your magical side a secret though. You knew you'd have to tell him at some point but you weren't sure when or how.
Until today.
We were on a coffee date sitting outside of the grill. We weren't talking, just enjoying each others company as we people watched.
It was a nice spring day, the sun was shining and the weather was getting warmer as we got closer to the summer.
As you glanced around the city centre you suddenly caught a sight of a person you thought was dead. The black curly hair with a hint of grey was the dead give away and the look she held in her eyes while staring at you terrified you. You hadn't even realized that you stopped breathing for a moment when Niklaus brought you back, "Love, you alright?"
"Huh?" you asked as you looked over to him. A faint look of concern was laying on his face. "You stopped breathing for a moment and your heart is racing a million times a second, darling. Are you okay?"
Without responding you look back to where you saw Bellatrix but she was long gone. You took a deep breath to calm yourself before responding, "Yeah, I'm good."
You could tell Niklaus was weary of your answer though and he had every right to be.
After we had finished our coffee date we parted ways. Niklaus went home while you headed back to your bookshop or that is at least what you told Niklaus. Which, it was half the truth because you had to go back there to grab your car but you were really rushing to get home. If you had truly seen Bellatrix you were in danger.
As you finally reached your car you felt the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. You looked around your surroundings but didn't see anyone. That was until you were about to step into your car when you looked over your shoulder and you saw multiple dementors headed your way.
You quickly got into your car and started it. And without a pause you put your car into drive and sped off quickly. But of course, you couldn't get that far without getting stuck in traffic. The entire time you kept looking over your shoulder, checking your mirrors and you kept seeing the dementors following behind you.
You pulled your phone out of your pocket while carefully also trying to focus on the road. You were able to unlock it and go into your contacts and select Harry's contact and press call. You quickly switched it to speaker before placing your phone down in a cup holder.
It only took a few rings before Harry answered, "Hello, Y/N. How are you?"
With a shaky breath you replied, "could be better, currently being followed by a few dementors and I saw Bellatrix. I don't know how she's alive but it was her."
"Oh my goodness, are you okay? I'll go get the Weasley's and then come to you, where are you exactly?"
"Yeah, I'm okay. I'm headed back home, I'm trying to get them out of the town centre and away from any muggles."
Harry sighs before saying, "Stay safe, Y/N. I'll try to be quick."
You look into your rear view mirror and still see that the dementors were following you. "I'll try my best, Harry. Please be quick," you begged before he hung up.
It wasn't long before you were pulling into your driveway. A familiar blonde original was standing on your front porch as she awaited your presence.
"Bekah, now is not a good time," you tell her as you got out of your car. "What's going on? Niklaus told me you were acting strange so I came to check up on you," she told you as she stepped down the front steps of your porch and made her way over to you.
The dementors were flying towards you quickly and so you couldn't wait for Rebekah to wait any longer. You ignored Rebekah's question as you reached into your jacket and pulled out your wand before casting your patronus once again to fend off the dementors. You look back at Rebekah, "I don't have any time to explain but-" before you could finish your sentence a familiar laugh cut through the air, sending a shive down your spine.
You slowly turn towards the direction she stood and your eyes widened.
She was quick to cast a spell your way but you were quicker and quickly defended yourself. You are quick to send a spell her way which takes her by surprise and hits her making her stumble a few feet back.
"Rebekah, please go," you beg to your best friend who stood beside you confused at what she was watching go down. "No, I'm not leaving you alone."
You sigh, "I've got back up coming, now please go, I can't have you getting hurt."
Rebekah gives you one last look before using her unique speed and runs away from the fight that was commencing. Bellatrix was suddenly surrounded by her followers. All of which were once followers of Voldemort. The only people you didn't see were Narcissa, Lucius and Draco which made you happy. You wouldn't know what you'd do to yourself if you had to hurt one of them.
Neither of you say anything but Bellatrix just smirks at you before throwing a spell your way which you were able to dodge. Thankfully in that moment Harry Potter also appeared beside you and you let out a breath you didn't know you were holding in.
The two of us fought Bellatrix and her followers while our friends slowly started to arrive one by one. Some of your old professors also came to help like McGonagall and even Hagrid.
Slowly but surely we took down her followers and some of your friends got injured.
You were starting to get tired and it had begun to rain, your clothes were soaked. You were hit a few times by spells and it weakened your body but you weren't done because Bellatrix was still alive.
"She's running," you heard somebody call. Before you realized what you were doing you ran after her wanting to take her down yourself.
As you ran through the forest you tripped over a stub that you hadn't seen. Bellatrix notices this and laughs aloud. She goes to cast a spell at you but you were quick to move out of the way.
You apparate yourself off the ground and behind Bellatrix before casting a spell to knock her off her feet. She also drops her wand which you kick out of her reach.
You point your wand at her, "Is this what you wanted, Bellatrix? To come back for another battle just to die again?" tears swarmed in your eyes as you looked down at the witch who killed your father.
Bellatrix quickly casts a spell and it throws you through the air and against a tree. All of your air leaves your chest and there is a ringing in your ears. The only thing you could hear was the laugh Bellatrix lets out.
Everything turned into a blur as you slowly picked yourself off the ground. A liquid fell from your nose. You reached up and wiped it away and realized it was blood. Your panic grew inside of you as you looked up to Bellatrix. "Cat got your tongue?" she asked you with a smirk on her face. She goes to cast another spell your way but you are quick to block it before throwing one her way. We go back and fourth a bit, each spell we cast towards each other are blocked until Harry comes to your side and helps.
We are quick to get her to knees. Harry grabs her dropped wand leaving her defenceless against us. You breath was heavy as you pointed your wand towards her, "tell me why I shouldn't kill you right now, Bellatrix. All you have caused is pain and suffering."
Bellatrix stays silent as she glares up at you. You laugh, "cat got your tongue?" you ask her, repeating the same question she asked you earlier. You use a petrificus totalus spell on her just like Molly Weasley did back when she killed her the first time before using the spell to shatter her body into pieces.
You collapse to the ground, exhausted and breathless. The pain was becoming unbearable. You weren't even sure what was hurt.
Harry rushes to your side, "are you okay?"
"Do I look okay, Potter?" you ask through gritted teeth. "Y/N?" A familiar voice calls out to you through the forest. "Over here, Nik," you call back to him as Harry helps you to your feet. In an instant Niklaus was by your side, startling Harry who looked on in confusion.
"Your injured," Niklaus states. A chuckle leaves you but you double over in pain and collapse in pain as the world around you turns to darkness.
You awoke somewhere else. A place that was familiar and yet not familiar. You stood up and noticed the pain that you had felt was now gone. You looked around and noticed you were at the Hogwart's train station. But everything was cleaner and white.
You stepped outside of it and followed the path down towards the black lake. Hogwarts stood tall on the other side.
"Y/N," a familiar voice spoke from behind you. You quickly turned around and saw the one man you never though you would see again. "Dad?" you questioned. "The one and only," he responded. "How is this possible? Where are we?" you asked him.
"We are in your version of heaven," he tells you as he nears you. "I- I died?"
"Yes, however, where are we?" he asks you. "Outside Hogwart's train station," you respond.
"If you so desired you could board a train."
You look at him confused, "Where would it take me?"
"Home, unless you are ready for death. But you've got so much more life ahead of you. I am so proud of how far you have come. No matter what option you choose I will be standing by your side," he tells you. You step closer to him, closing the gap as you wrap your arms around him. "I've missed you so much, Dad," you cried quietly into him. He doesn't say anything as he holds you tightly to himself.
You knew what choice you were going to make and it hurt inside as you knew you were going to leave your Dad. You finally got the courage to let go.
"Can you come with me?" you asked him, knowing deep down what the answer would be. He sighs, "you know that isn't how it works. But Darling, I am always here for you even if I can't be there physically."
"I love you, Dad."
"And I love you, Darling. Now go, go live the rest of your life. I'll be here when it's your time," he tells you. You nod your head, giving him one more quick hug.
You hesitantly walk back towards the station and there was in fact a train awaiting your arrival. You step onto it and find a spot. You look outside the window and see your Dad was now standing on the platform. You wave goodbye to him as the train starts to depart the station.
You awoke gasping for air. You were now back in your bed in your bedroom.
You swing your legs over the side as you tried to calm yourself. You were confused and emotional. Things felt more heightened and you wonder if you were in transition or if it's because you just died and came back to life. You close your eyes and cover your ears as the light and sounds were too much.
Your bedroom door swings open and Niklaus comes rushing in, "Love, are you alright?"
"I- I don't know. I think so," you replied. He sits down on the bed beside you. You didn't know what to say or ask. You were scared to find out the truth. "Am I- Am I in transition?" you ask Niklaus, glancing over to him. The look on his face was all that you needed to know that you were. "I believe so," he tells you.
You grab your wand that had been placed on your night stand table and try to cast a Lumos spell. Which, to both of your surprises worked as a white line shines from the tip of your wand. Relief washes over you enough to calm you down a bit, "I still have my magic though," you state surprised. "That I can't explain. But it must be because you have a different kind of magic," Niklaus tells you.
You cast the Nox spell and the light disappears. You take a deep breath as you look down upon your lap, "So, now I just need to figure out if I want to finish the transition."
Niklaus takes ahold of one of your hands in his before saying, "I will not force you to finish the transition if you do not want to. You must know, I won't be happy with you and I will rip this town apart. But I will understand."
A small chuckle falls from your lips, "are you trying to guilt trip me, Nik?"
Niklaus chuckles, "I suppose I am. Whether I like to admit it or not, Y/N, I am in love with you. You have made me into a better man."
You drop your eyes to your lap as your eyes gaze over with tears. You weren't sure what you wanted to do. You weren't sure if you wanted to be a vampire but it was that or dying. And you didn't want to die either.
"I'll do it, I'll transition," you tell Niklaus quietly. Niklaus places a hand under your chin and gently makes you look at him, "are you sure that is what you want?"
"Yes, I love you too. And I don't want this to be the reason I die," you tell him. A smile grows on his lips, "I'll go grab you a blood bag, I'll be right back," he tells you before placing a kiss on your cheek and in an instant he was gone but seconds later he had returned. Because he had been here so many times you had your own small stash of blood bags for him and your other vampire guests. Looks like you'll need to ramp it up now.
He places the glass down that he had also brought up with him and he breaks open the blood bag before pouring it into the glass. Once it had completely emptied he threw the blood bag into the trash. "You'll get used to the after taste," he tells you as he hands you the glass. You look up at him, nervously, as you grab the glass.
As you brought it to your lips you caught a quick whiff of it and a pain came from your gums as your fangs protruded from them. You took a sip of the blood and a hunger inside of you that you had never felt before roared inside of you. You quickly downed the rest of it like it was juice.
"How do you feel?" Niklaus asks you as he grabs the glass back from you. "Hungry for more," you reply, earning a laugh from him. "We will work on that but for now, I need to work on getting you a daylight ring. I've sent Elijah to go get you one made, for now stay away from the windows," he tells you.
"Thank you, Nik."
"It's my pleasure. Now, a few of your friends are still downstairs, are you ready to mingle?"
You took a deep breath before nodding your head, "Yeah. Just help me learn how to control my hunger. I don't want to hurt anybody."
