After Danielle came home injured, especially hypothermic, Clementine first gave her medical care and then put her to bed. She then immediately informed Kolamano.
Clementine asked her father to wait with her on Kolamano.
Benjamin: "Don't you think, it's time to tell me the truth?"
Clementine is horrified: "Dad, Danielle has been attacked, this is hardly the right time right now."
Benjamin looked at her sternly.
Benjamin: "Then I'll say it. Kolamano is Liora's father."
Neither of them noticed that the sage of untamed magic had appeared out of nowhere next to them.
Kolamano: "That's how it is, and it's an honor for me to declare that I'm also married to her mother."
Benjamin stared at his daughter in shock. "Married?! You are married?"
Clementine nodded, now that the cat was out of the bag. "Yes, we are."
Benjamin: "Oh my watcher. Are you forsaken by all good spirits?"
Kolamano: "No, sir. We love each other. That's all."
Benjamin shook his head in despair. "You two don't know what you've gotten yourself into. The rule does not exist for nothing." Now the Kolamano looked directly. "Especially you as Sage should be clear about this. I am speechless and disappointed."
Clementine pressed her lips tightly together, she was close to tears. First the worry about Danielle, now this. She knew that her love for Kolamano would disappoint her father. That her love put them all in danger.
Kolamano: "However, we came together for another reason. Right?"
Father and daughter agreed unanimously.
Clementine: "What do you know about the attacks in the realm of magic?"
Kolamano's face darkened: "My colleagues were attacked by an old demon. According to the records, she was no longer supposed to wander around the Occult World."
Clementine: "Danielle said that she has never felt this kind of magic. It was as if this demon was taking away her strength and magic, sucking it out.“
Benjamin: "With what, rather with whom are we dealing?" He looked at his son-in-law questioningly.
Kolamano was reluctant to answer the question. "Elorana, a hybrid, born as a vampire, acquired dark magic. She only spreads death and destruction. My colleagues were very lucky to survive the attack."
Benjamin: "Vampire?! Why do I feel like that's not the whole truth?"
Kolamano: "Rightly so. She is the sister of Marquis Vlad Straud de Sade. The vampire who transformed Jonathan Freyes."
The words seemed to echo in the air. An oppressive silence spread between the three.
After talking to Benjamin, Kolamano asked Clementine to accompany him to the realm of magic.
Kolamano: "I ask you to talk to them and examine them."
Clementine: "Why me? You have healers in your ranks."
I bit Kolamano's lower lip: "I didn't want to mention it to your father. But the two of them now lack any memory, of the magical society, of the occult world, of themselves."
She let out a shocked sound.
Kolamano: "The rumors of the attack are already causing enough panic within society. If it comes out now that the two are absolutely bananas in the pear, we plunge into chaos. I must first arrange the succession and protect the realm of magic. So you're going to help me?"
Clementine took his hand. "Of course."
Both Sages stood completely lost in the middle of the room. Kolamano resigned and let his wife do her work.
Cautiously, Clementine approached the two. "Hello."
The Sage of mischievous magic: "Where are we?"
Sage of functional magic: "Who are we? Can you help us?"
Clementine: "I'll try. Come with me. We'll look for a place where it's quieter."
Kolamano arrived just as Clementine had finished her tests.
Kolamano: "And?" A small hint of hope could be heard in his voice.
Clementine hated herself for not having good news and having to destroy his hope. "They live, physically both have fully recovered from the attack. But spiritually ..." She paused.
The two Sages looked at them as if they were toddlers who had no idea about the world and the dangers in it. "The loss of memory suggests that the brain has suffered severe damage."
Kolamano: "Can they recover from that too?"
Clementine: "Possibly, but this will be a very lengthy process. You have to call in your healers."
Kolamano seemed composed, but the answer shook him. "All right. I will initiate the follow-up ritual and have the healers called."
Clementine: "I'm very sorry."
