since she wasn’t a student of hope’s peak, komaru wasn’t allowed on the main course grounds, no matter how much she pouted and pleaded with security. that meant her time to hang out with her brother had shortened drastically since he started attending the school. sometimes, she still met up with him outside the gates, and they’d go hang out at a comic store or go see a movie together, just like old times.
that was how she ended up sitting in the middle of an aisle at the bookstore they’d gone to, flipping through the pages of a shoujo manga collection as she tried to remember if she already had it or not.
a slight mischievous grin formed on the middle schooler’s face. she watched makoto out of the corner of her eyes. he wasn’t paying any attention to her, so it was the perfect time to strike.
