I Guess You Could Say That I Want You to Stay (Kombumile/Chamomile x Lemon Kombucha) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Chamomile sighed as she flopped on her bed, thinking of nothing but what had happened earlier. She and her girlfriend had shared their first kiss today, although it was... well, awkward. It's Lemon Kombucha and Chamomile, what did you expect? Sure, it may have been in the middle of an alley. Sure, they were surrounded by Scoby Pigeons--who were known as Brewcuppia's flying rats--instead of the much more graceful Vanilla Doves. Sure, it may have stunk of damp bricks. But still, there was just something about that moment that was just so... enchanting. But then something hit her like a truck. What if she was to lose Lemon Kombucha one day? It was like a pattern, almost everyone she loved would be taken away from her. Like her mom, Mayor Rosehip Cookie to her very important job that took away LOTS of family time. Or even worse, like her sibling Hibiscus who went missing, or her father Amber Mountain who died. Oh. What if Lemon Kombucha didn't really like her? What if they were to dump her? What if she was killed? Imagining all of these things, Chamomile was taken out of her previously euphoric state, removed her father's coat-cape from her back, and sat up. She pondered about what would probably happen to her if she were to lose her beloved girlfriend and started to feel a tear rolling down her cheek. ...Or was it two tears? No, more than that. Much, much more than that. She grabbed her pillow to try and wipe the tears away from her cheeks, but they wouldn't go away. The thought of losing Kombucha wouldn't go away. It wouldn't go away. It wouldn't go away. It wouldn't go away. "Hey, snap back to reality, Chamomile," the teenaged Cookie thought to herself. "There is no way they're leaving you. You are a loving girlfriend. You love her. They love you, come on!" Chamomile was right smack-dab in the middle of her thoughts when she heard a knock on the window. There was usually only one Cookie who would come to where her room was, and that was- IT WAS LEMON KOMBUCHA! Chamomile grabbed her coat and ran all the way to the window where she heard the knocking, and saw Lemon Kombucha's scarred yet beautiful face, looking away from her. With all of her strength, Chamomile hoisted the window open. "Yes, Lemon Kombucha?" "...Huh? Oh. Hey, Chamomile. Uhhh, what's with the streaks on your face?" Oh. "Oh, erm... it's complicated." "No, you can tell me." Chamomile looked away and tried to wipe the dried tears off of her face. "It's... it's nothing, really. I was just worried that I'd lose you one day, that you probably didn't like me because I'm not really as strong as you, o-or..." "...Well, er, I guess you could say that I don't want you to go away.." "Chams, why d'you think I'd ever leave you? Come on. You're probably the nicest Cookie I've ever met in my life, plus I don't really care if you're physically strong or not." Lemon Kombucha cupped their girlfriend's face with one hand. Chamomile pressed it closer and smiled back at them. "You're literally one of the only Cookies aside from Sour Choco that I'd protect with my whole fucking life, plus I don't think I'll be leaving you anytime soon." "Eh... eh-heh... thanks." After seeing the looks in each other's eyes, the two Cookies pulled closer for one more kiss. It was... somehow more satisfying than the one shared earlier. "...Anyways, wanna go eat some drywall?" "Lemon Kombucha." "What? I was kidding!" "Haha, alright... your jokes genuinely concern me sometimes, though." "Ha, 'kay then." "...Anyways, you wanna go out or something, or...?" "Sure! Where to?" "Dunno, maybe that wall near the park with all that gruh-fee-fee or whatever on it." "I think you mean 'graffiti.'" "Yeah, graffiti. Anyways, see you in half an hour?" "Yes, half an hour is nice. I'll see you then!" "'Kay, bye." "Bye!" Chamomile kissed Lemon Kombucha on their scarred cheek before they climbed down the window. After her surprisingly nice girlfriend left, Chamomile decided to prepare herself for their not-so-fairytale date.
