profession:  She is a trained bureaucrat with a penchant for numbers and patterns.  This has led her to work as an auditor with various trade companies at the Bakufu's behest, including a short stint in Ishgard as part of a trade delegation.   Currently she has chosen to work for the Fujiwara clan, managing their financial affairs in Hingashi. hobbies:  Reading, gardening, star charts, and a bit of target practice. languages:  Fluent in both Hingan and Eorzean dialects, both speaking and reading.   residence:  Currently keeps an office at the Fujiwara estate.

history:  Komeko is a descendant of the non-ruling line of the Aoyama clan of Doma, though some would dispute any noble claims due to dishonorable actions taken by her father Fugetsu during the takeover of Doma by the Garlean Empire.   Fleeing the Othard continent, he resettled his family in Bukyo, where his education and standing led him to become a bureaucrat of the Bakufu, although neither he nor his immediate family are considered true aristocrats by everyone due to their foreigner status despite years of loyal service.  Regardless of her Doman bloodline, Komeko thinks of herself as Hingan instead of Doman, as she was raised in Hingashi and herself is a Bakufu loyalist.

personality:  Reserved and meticulous in most everything, from her speech and dress to her very facial expressions, that often seem practiced (because they are).   Her professional demeanor and carefully chosen words cause her to come off as cold or insincere to those she keeps at arm's length, and she does not go out of her way to combat these assumptions.  Her true feelings are kept to private settings, behind securely closed doors.  Only then does she allow her mask to slip for individuals for whom she feels an affinity and seeks a connection.   hopes:  To maintain her reputation and atone for her father's mistakes. fears:  Being unmasked, losing the trust of her lord or her contacts in the Bakufu

sexuality:  Extremely private. marital status:  Single (but considered 'married' to her work) children:  No (but It’s complicated) parents:  Her father, Fugetsu, still lives in Bukyo. siblings:  Two brothers.  The elder of them, Hayato, left home and died in the failed first Doman rebellion.  The second, Shiro, is a trainee of the Sekiseigumi. other relatives:  A collection of distant aunts, uncles, and cousins that survived the occupation in Doma, but she barely knows them - probably more because they do not wish to know her.

possible RP hooks

Hingan/Kugane intrigue:  She's been around for a while and has seen the dirty laundry that comes with following the money.  Though she isn't talking, she knows more than she lets on.  As such, she sleeps with one eye open in case someone would want to remove her for knowing too much, or alternatively, tends to receive extravangant gifts from officials that wish to stay on her good side.

Lost heritage and family:  The main branch of her family, the Aoyama clan, remains in Doma, and while she has not yet shown much personal interest in the Doman rebuilding efforts, she has more than a few reasons why that could change.

Astrology:  Komeko is deterministic in nature, believing strongly in the traditional idea that one's past and future life is dictated in no small part at the time of birth, based on when and where one is born.  As such, she often consults fortune-tellers and pays attention to the star charts (and is why she is an astrologian, OOC).

Guns, guns, guns:  After a time spent in Ishgard, she became utterly fascinated by firearms and has taken to them as her go-to method of personal protection, despite their relative rarity in eastern culture.  If you have a nice gun, she might take notice.  It is a rare way to catch genuine interest from her.

Available usually 7pm-midnight Eastern, though I might not be sitting online on this character, I might be on another character or playing another game, so poke me.  I work full time and have other adult-y things that do pull me away.  I do try to minimize that when I’m in the middle of RP, though.

This is an alt character and not my main - I have a main (and an FC I run!) so I generally need to be poked if you want to see more of her.  That said, I'm pretty fond of her.

Looking for in-game stuff at this time, not Discord RP, though Discord RP is a fine supplement to the in-game stuff.   We can totally chat via Discord though OOC to arrange things, too.
