February 14, 2024 | King Harald, Queen Sonja, The Crown Prince Couple and Princess Astrid, Mrs Ferner all participated in a lunch that the Norwegian government held in honour of Tanzania's President Samia Suluhu Hassan's visit. Then in the afternoon, the Crown Prince and the President of Tanzania attended a seminar on climate and food security at the Climate House at the Natural History Museum in Oslo.

February 13, 2024 | As per tradition, Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of Tanzania, visited Akershus Fortress to lay a wreath honouring the fallen Norwegians from the Second World War. In the evening, King Harald and Queen Sonja held a gala dinner at the Royal Palace in honour of the President of Tanzania. The Crown Prince Couple and Princess Astrid, Mrs Ferner, plus 179 invited guests, were present during the dinner, where both the President and the King held speeches.

February 13, 2024 | The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Her Excellency Samia Suluhu Hassan, began her state visit to Norway. The visit marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Norway and Tanzania. The visit began with a ceremony in the Great Hall at the Castle. The Norwegian and Tanzanian national anthems were played before the president was presented to representatives of official Norway. The ceremony was followed by talks, an official photo shoot and a presentation of gifts.

Det kommer til å flere dager for meg å komme over denne begravelsen. Det er rett og slett noe av det emosjonelt sterkeste jeg noen gang har vært med på. Jeg er så preget av den ærlige åpenheten, minneordene som har borett seg inn i meg og ikke minst av Ari og Märthas barn. Maud, Leah og Emma er noen helt fantastiske barn; som har mottatt mye kjærlighet av sine foreldre. For et mot; og for en styrke, de kommer til å nå langt; og det som er sikkert er at de har hele Norges støtte for all tid.
