Empty words to him, not trusting of the other despite what was their current situation. Others outside the Ten Rings took their time for him to trust, if that ever happened as it was rare. And yet here she was trying to at least be on his good side while they had to maneuver all of this together. Granted, he hadn't even intended to work together with her when he realized they were here, ready to go on his own until they had the run into some opposition. Now it seemed they were grouped together and had no choice, so here he was with the smaller blonde in tow. "For now. I have your back for now." Andrei replies, expression less than friendly. Once they were out and far away enough, this little alliance would be over with. He just hoped that translated enough in his words, if not then he was not afraid to be honest with her when the time came.

“You and I clearly remember the end results of that plan very differently, petite.” Jared shot back, wrapping his arms around her to tuck his hands into the back pockets of her jeans in response to the kiss. “Mais I suppose it’s good to know it won’t really be me you’re mad at,” the hunter added almost playfully before dipping his head downwards to brush his lips against hers again.

Andrei wasn't one to fall into the moment around him so easily. That wasn't who he was, not unless it was the heat of battle and this was far from that. This was unfamiliar territory, most noble blood avoided him as he was only adopted by name. There was no noble blood within the large knight, making him an outcast when not needed for his skill with a sword. So, needless to say he was caught off guard when he finds himself dancing in the arms of the princess. How he had even gotten here was beyond him, he'd been leaning against a column with arms crossed only moments before. And yet when he looked down at her, she didn't look up at him with any of the contempt the other members of royal houses did. Hell, she was looking up at him with almost an awe which was something Andrei couldn't quite understand but it kept his green gaze upon her as they moved together with the music. It was what drew him in the longer they danced, some connection he couldn't explain as he held her in his arms during the dance and it was one that she seemed to feel as well. The way she leaned in as he did, both just about giving into the moment until the music stopped. And in an instant, he snaps back to reality. He shifts back up straight and clears his throat before letting go, taking a step back and a brief bow. "My apologies, princess." And walks off towards the fringe of the feast to grab a drink.

Not one to give advice, he spoke when he thought it was best still but even then it wasn't to interfere. However, here he was doing so anyway. It wasn't who he was normally, so why did he think he should interject? It was dumb and mentally he was cursing himself for it because even he couldn't fully understand why he had given his two cents. Jaw clenched, though he remains silent with the ever present default glare that graced his features. Shifting slightly in his seat, arms move to cross over broad chest as he looks away and then back to her. "I won't say anything then." He grumbles. "But when I'm right I will say I told you so, that's all." He sits up more straight, looking a tad more confident mainly because in his head she didn't mean that last part. It was part of her lashing out at him, making a point more than anything. He didn't date.

Andrei knew of her trust in him, it was something he was never intending to break and if anything was using to his advantage in the moment to surprise her for her birthday. He could only hope she loved the first gift of several on this special occasion. After all, he wasn't entirely sure what he could fully give her, not when he tried to give her everything she could want or need every day but he felt he had come close with the horse that she would see in a matter of moments. "No, Peanut Butter is healthy." A small pause, a sentence he didn't think he'd say in regards to a horse. Either way she saw for herself as hands lifted to reveal the gift in the center of the stables. A chuckle leaving him, smile growing as she nearly bolts over to the mare to immediately bond with the horse. "You're welcome, iubire." He says, weight shifting from one foot to the other as arms cross over his chest. "I think that does fit, yes. But she is your's you name her whatever you want." A pause. "Like Peanut Butter."

He'd been patient enough, looking for the right moment when they were alone or he could pull her to the side and make them be alone. Thankfully he didn't have to wait much longer, the opening coming when he so easily and gently places his hand around her arm and pulls her with him into a small hallway with him and no one else in sight. It was easy for him to notice, placing her back against the wall as a smirk begins to tug at his lips. Larger body presses against her's, pinning her in place while one hand pressed her arm against the wall beside her and the other moved to her hip. "It seemed we would never be alone." The knight whispers as he leans down, his lips only inches from her's. How badly he wished to close the gap after waiting all day for the right time. But even then, he wants to see how badly she wanted this herself. If he was the only one, only then would he close the distance between them fully. "Tell me princess, did you enjoy teasing me today?"

Upon hearing the wife of his best friend, the blond knew something was happening that he probably should be involved in. Sure enough as he found them, Andrei was giving him a look as she sat upon his lap. It seemed even that hadn't done anything to convince the larger Romanian to budge, meaning she was now resorting to using his best friend against him. A nervous chuckle left the blond as a hand lifted to scratch at the back of his head. "I don't think that's fair to use our youngest." Andrei pipes in for a moment before looking towards his friend, his brother in a sense. "I don't live here." Cezar starts to say. "And you have two dogs right? Some horses in the stables...a cat in this big house might not be the best call, right? I've never owned a cat before I don't know how it all works. I've just had dogs like Andrei." He speaks looking between the two before settling upon Emma. "I don't think I should be a tie breaker here."
