This AU is about the Koopalings from Super Mario Bros. In this world, the Koopa Kingdom has been torn apart into smaller fracture territories ruled over by the different Koopalings, all of whom are fighting for land, resources, and most of all: Power.
If you like the Bowser’s Kingdom, Mario characters more niche than the ones put in Mario Party, and unrealistic fictional politics, then this is the AU for you!
I’ve got asks open and I plan to make posts briefly explaining the situation every Koopaling is in following this post. I’ll be editing this post to provide direct links to the seven of those under the cut. Stay tuned.

Ludwig
He was taken to be the next advisor because of his magical inclination, the way he wouldn't be adopted is only if he got out and went to search for his parents' ratter than staying
He would be a wanderer magician by the time Jr is born, his spot as advisor now filled by someone else. In a suposed Paper Mario RPG adventure style, he could be the guy you buy the paper gimmick from
If you miss optional curses, he can curse you... for a price that is
Iggy and Lemmy
The way Iggy and Lemmy stayed and got promptly addopted was Bowser himself, witnessing the brothers bonding, and intervened, allowing Iggy to stay, not only in the science division in his army, but now with a home where his brother is also now gonna receive an education just like him
In this hipotetical universe, Bowser didn't witness Lemmys' slip, since he was a stol away with his brother here they were praticaly connected by the hip at this age, wich means he got sent back to the orphanage and Iggy got demoted as punishment
When Iggy got out... Lemmy wasn't on the same care home he was, the twins separated by the system
Iggy continues then in Bowsers' army, forgoing the science department, downplaying his own little quirky and intelligence to get patrol missions, in hopes to travel around the kingdom seeking his brother
Lemmy... tried really hard to go back to his brother, but fate had other plans, since Iggy was being also sent place to place, lab to lab, through his stay at the military
So he joins the circus the first chance he gets, his brother has a bright future, he is smart, but Lemmy... he still needs a place to feel like he belongs, and the circus becomes his home
Out of everyones' new life's, Lemmy is the one who got a better ending tbh
Roy and Wendy
Never found by Bowser? Baby, they already were living alone by that point, the best thief duo you will ever met, Wendy still insists in having the best fashion sense you can imagine, Roy is gaining a reputation as much of brawl as brains
These two will probably fund their own Gang at a point and compete with the infamous Piantas by the time they are in their mid twenties
Larry
Got adopted by a nice civilian koopa family, maybe one of them is a paratrooper even, he does miss his buddy that he left behind the orphanage, but life has it's course
And he got the lucky end of the stick... he thinks...
Morton
Unlike Iggy, who had a job really young, or Lemmy who ran away, or Larry who got addopted... Morton stayed at the orphanage until he grew up
He got money through odd jobs and construction work, still kind, but there is a sadness inside him for never being adopted nor chosen as anyone's priority, be will get better, he will live, he promised his buddy that much
I am Dreya, and I am an Au writer, and find myself interested in writing a Freezeflame22 AU.
It was actually an original story of mine that was inspired by the Koopalings but I decided to make it an Au because Freezeflame22 deserves any bit of inspiration by them to be seen!
Since I have artwork WIP to start off with, I’ll start with a summary of my Au.
Story will be named “Ten Regions”. It takes place in another world where there are only ten regions that have human life. The River, the Starke, the Distro, the Industrial, the Belleza, the ice age, the Seashores, the Gem, the Ninth, and the Ruins regions. The royal family of the Gem Region are the main ruler over most of these regions, however there has been war for power between the Ninth, the IceAge and the Gem Regions over the remaining regions. To keep the future generation safe, the King of Gem Region, Bowser had escaped with his seven children, however after the airship had crashed, nearly all of them were stranded and separated. The story would finally take place in the eyes of the youngest brother Larry , as he journeys to search for his long lost siblings.
Lemmy: Don't worry, my little brother is "harmless".

An AU idea where Lemmy got secretly replaced by an doppelganger, while he and his siblings attack Mario, Luigi, Yellow Toad, & Blue Toad, from rescuing Princess Peach. (aka "Bowser's usual failed plans on capturing Peach" lol)
