Mini-review: And back to the “AI Assistant” whose voice is too filtered for me to make out. Oh well, it was funny how both analyses involved him testing a weapon on said assistant with no remorse, and the fight was alright with the miniscule budget in mind.

Mini-review: The analyses were fine, and the fight winds up being almost entirely a coinflip, but the animation… It just felt like “weird” things were being done for the sake of it, and both characters got “killed” so many times that the actual kill didn’t register as one.

Mini-review: The analyses seem fine enough, digging into their toolkits and abilities, but I didn’t really get much of a sense of their characters (heck they chose to mention Spider-Man’s romance with Black Cat but didn’t even name drop MJ?). The fight itself feels rather simple, with not much really coming out. And the conclusion wasn’t terrible, but it’s a bit hard to be interested when one character had basically every advantage.

Mini-review: The episode’s host Dominus “theWarlord” DeBollo is a great host for this episode, giving pretty cool energy that matches these characters rather well, and did a great job at digging into their abilities. The fight animation was also incredibly good, and we even got a free bonus prologue of Nappa vs Invincible and Atom Eve (which I’m not complaining about because, again, the animation is really good???). Pretty good episode all around. Not entirely sure if I agree with the winner with the stats provided, but it is a result that seems rather reasonable (and thanks to Death Battle’s controversial episode last year, I can say that without just spoiling who wins, hahah!)

Mini-review: Very unconventional episode, given it gives each form its own debate one at a time, switching between animation and analysis. But, you know, for a guy who made it as what’s basically a passing curiosity, it’s pretty fine.

Mini-review: Their analyses are fine enough, digging into their main connections. But the fight lacked any real flow, both in terms of the fight progression and in terms of how the individual sprites move, leaves the whole thing feeling underwhelming.

Mini-review: Really good analyses, it’s light on their stories but it digs deep enough to not feel lacking in that area, and focusing on the culture around each element they acquire is a great way to introduce their various powers while still being in tandem with said story. Maybe they should’ve waited until the Traveler’s story was a little more “complete”, though. The animation is overall pretty nice, though Paimon is rather annoying despite having like 3 lines total. Conclusion… Boy they really went out of their way to present this as a debatable matchup hahah. I already know it’s all an illusion, but I’d say they did a good job at that illusion.

Caine vs Mr. Ant Tenna (the Amazing Digital Circus vs Deltarune)

Mini-review: It’s their second fully animated episode… And it does a great job digging into both their characters and their absolutely wacky insane abilities through the analyses. And the fight… The beginning is a bit janky looking, but it’s still a solid opener, and the actual fight very quickly becomes utterly insane, while still managing to keep cohesion so that we, the viewers, know wtf is going on. And, as a cool bonus, it presents the matchup as legitimately debatable, with means for both of them to pull out ahead.
