      Perhaps a bit more subtlety would have been the correct route here.  He finds himself hesitant to say anymore since he catches sight of the distress that fills the other’s gaze. Why did their master decide to simply surprise the uchigatana with his appearance?  It would have been better if they were introduced through the sage to provide some warning.  

      He tilts his head in question, the same smile still on his features.  For once he finds himself at a loss to say--who knows how the other may react.  He wouldn’t be surprised if it was to lash out at him, or maybe their master.  

      “...I was awakened about a hour ago.  I am afraid I am not the same Mikazuki Munechika that you knew.”  The tachi says calmly.  It was best to get that out of the way to help lessen the blow of the new reality setting in.  He was not an old friend that he was sure many in this citadel wished for.  

      “Our master said that you were close with the other Mikazuki.  I hope we can get along as well.”

          “Let’s go talk somewhere more private,” he says without missing a beat, but he does take a moment to just comfort the sword, and draws his arm around yamanbagiri’s shoulders. he had a feeling this would happen so it hasn’t caught him entirely off guard, and maybe it’s a good thing that the toudan actually seems willing to talk about it... maybe that means he actually has more to worry about after all.

his own rooms aren’t far and soon enough he’s sealing them off from the hallway, ever by yamanbagiri’s side, hovering, fretting. “I’d believe I already know what you thought, but I want you to tell me anyway.” he can’t help if he takes over the conversation on his own after all. “So come sit.”
