Hiii, I saw a post you made about playing games you downloaded on your r4. I'm a little desperate because I can't seem to make mine work! I was wondering if you could help me out 🥹

I have this one, and I already formatted the MicroSD in the correct partition and downloaded the latest version of the kernel from their website (the latest one is from 2023). But my 3DS doesn't even read the card! Maybe the latest 3DS updates no longer support this kind of r4? It used to work perfectly until a few years ago, but I haven't used it in a long time...

If you could somehow help me it would be amazing! 🙏❤️

Oh hey hi. So uh, funny story. I'm actually having the exact same problem. I've had my R4 Gold 2020 on my DS for a couple of years now. It was quite a little hard to get working properly and running but it got the job done nicely once properly set up

Then, a couple weeks ago it just stopped working. Doesn't even show up on screen anymore. From what i've read online, this was either caused by a faultry connection that can be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol, or incompatible firmware in the SD card.

Tried both. Still nothing. Then i saw it could have been a Time Bomb issue but i had my console set in 2004 so i'm not sure. No idea how to fix that either, and since i lost my PC in the fire i can't really work it

If anyone out there knows how to fix this issue for your old pal Wario, and miss Kiki over here, please please let us know 🙏🙏

1 ⧽. if you could sit down and finish any one of your wips without anything stopping you (time, tiredness, etc), which fic would you choose? tell us about it if you want!

the last time I was asked this I chose Scaffold (Miyuki Kazuya x Reader) but y'know...if I could finish any WIP ever, outside of fanfic too, it would be my duck game's script. It's been a concept for a while, but if I could finish the whole thing I'd be happy.

3 ⧽. what's something you like about your writing?

I like a few things:

I like that oftentimes there is a central theme/message I want to get across to others

I like that I can usually match up with canon more or less well

I like my dialogue

I like the way I try to use my narration among other things to put readers inside the story as much as possible

14 ⧽. is there anything outside of your normal content that you want to write?

I am a chatterbox and I have a lot to say! I really want to write interactive novels! I also am not opposed to writing essays again (school's long since over so haven't written them)

I'd like to try my hand at scripts too.

18 ⧽. how do you want your writing to feel to your readers?

This depends on the writing, but...I want it to feel like the relief after the sting of antiseptic on an open wound.

I hope that my writing can teach someone something. It doesn't have to be a groundbreaking lesson, but I want people to walk away feeling hopeful and like their time was well-spent and they've learned something.

If my writing can get people to think...I'd love that.

Nope x 2 and I'd probably panic if I ever did receive one.

Do you like to garden? Have you ever grown something?

What a coincidence to see this right after I finished stabbing an avocado seed and suspending it in a glass of water!

I would like to learn to garden! It's such a good skill to have in my opinion. I don't think I've ever grown anything though! 💚

What do your hobbies look like?

a chaotic mess...and right now they're kind of abandoned 😁. I used to draw, and I haven't had much energy? to write?

and with drawing, I'm kinda scared/nervous to do it again. The trick is to just do it, so I guess I'll have to schedule some personal drawing time and commit to it.

I used to engage in literary analysis with my friend, but I haven't done that in a while.

On a positive note: I have returned to playing actual games that aren't gacha!

3. Reading or writing? Why?

mood dependent! Reading is great when I am low energy. Writing is great when I have a lot sitting on my chest.

Reading - takes me to a new world and I get to experience something from someone else's eyes. Or I learn something new and get to have something to think about.

Writing - I get to express an idea. Also I get to follow a character and experience their version of the world! and then I document it.

9. Best childhood moment?

maybe when I threw a shoe at a bully? it's memorable. just slipped my shoe off and threw it at the jerk.

16. What’s something you want to create soon?

I saw this cool capoeira kick and I want to see if I can't learn blender fast enough to animate one of my OCs from high school performing it.

17. How do you feel best loved?

"I saw this and thought of you..." "I remember you mentioned..." "No, no keep talking, I am interested in your opinion..." Hug

28. What are you proudest of?

this one's a toughie. Pride is a dangerous thing.

I don't quit easily. Not really. I punch myself down, true, and I look like I've quit, but the mental battle rages on, and I have yet to surrender 😁✨
