Okay, normally I don't critique doctors, dentists, anyone working in the medical field because I understand their jobs are HARD. I am extremely grateful for everything they do everyday, but one thing ticked me off and I just really need to talk about it.

I got my wisdom teeth taken out on Friday. Obviously, wisdom teeth extractions are painful as fuck because they cut into your gums and do all that shit, but I wasn't given any pain meds whatsoever. My dentist told me that ibuprofen and tylenol would be just as— if not more— effective than Codeine or Vicodin, then she sent me home without any meds at all. She also told me my body should heal faster and with less pain due to my age, which — from my experience— is not fucking true at all.

It took three days of me crying and being in agonizing pain for me to finally get prescribed meds. Three. Days. I was told that mid-day three, I would start to feel better. Of course, I'd be in pain in the morning, but in the afternoon I should feel fine. It just got worse. Both the swelling and the pain.

I was taken to the ER, and even the nurses and doctors there were shocked I wasn't given any pain meds the day of the surgery.

What's even more unfair is my mother goes through the same dentistry company, and she got a tooth extraction about a month ago and they gave her pain meds, but not me.

Apparently they were worried I'd get addicted to it, and that pissed me off more than anything. Don't worry about me getting addicted to meds in the future, WORRY ABOUT ME RIGHT NOW DUDE

Okay, sorry, I'm just pissed it took so long for someone to realize I actually needed meds and I needed to rant. But I'm doing much better now, I've received meds, and I'm still in pain, just not as bad as before.

I love to see trans representation in fanfics, but I've been seeing a lot of content that just seems.. kind of like fetish content.

In most fanfics I've read, one character seems to be trans just for the sake of having a determined bottom during intimacy. And that's not to say trans people can't have sex, have all the damn sex you want, I just don't agree with making characters trans purely for the sake of smut.

I've seen so many people depict trans characters in such an explicit light that it's almost weird. And when the character's partner calls them by their gender assigned at birth instead of their preferred gender as an attempt at "dirty talk", it always rubs me the wrong way. Because it seems to me that for most authors, trans characters are just there for them to write filthy— almost disrespectful— smut.

Describing the character in a specific, feminine/masculine way that completely disagrees with their preferred gender, (I understand it might be correct anatomically, but some authors seem to be describing it in unnecessary detail.) or even mentioning their supposed, headcanoned (or not) deadname, it all just seems so disrespectful to me.

I'm nonbinary, in the sense that I don't really care what people call me, I just don't believe I fit in with any of the gender binaries, so I can't speak too much on this topic, but I still want to give an output of my opinion on this recurring problem.

Again, just so there's no misunderstanding, this post isn't about me saying trans characters shouldn't be involved in intimate activities, I don't care about that, I'm saying that you shouldn't write a character as trans just for the sake of smut.
