here’s my part of my first ever art trade with pinayako2020! Pinay wanted a drawing of Korpiri (which is Aph South Korea x  Aph Philippines (based on sassymelon’s OC design)) 

I’m sorry I’m still inexperienced in so many ways, but I really like the end result. I hope you enjoy it!!

MY LIFE IS A KORPIRI HEADCANON ok not really

here’s a few, I’ll spit out a few for you:

- South Korea and Philippines met briefly when they were very young. South Korea was under China’s care at the time and China did lots of trading with the Philippines, and the two met through China. Neither have particularly clear memories of this however. The two got along very well though.

- During WW2, both SK and Philippines had set up governments in other countries while Japan was controlling their homelands. SK however still bears a lot of guilt for what the Korean soldiers were made to do by the Japanese to the people in SE Asia. Philippines knows he’s not directly responsible. The two were able to reconcile over this dark patch in their relationship quickly, considering how fast Philippines came to SK’s aid in the Korean War.

- The two share a lot of negative sentiments in regards to the way they’ve been treated by America and Japan in the past. There was once an agreement signed between America and Japan that said America could take Philippines while Japan could take Korea. SK and Philippines had contacted each other about this, both agreeing to try and fight against this agreement. It didn’t go well for either.

- The two kind of laugh it off when people summarise the South Korea-Philippines relationship as ‘K-DRAMAS/K-POP LOVE!!!11′. They know things are much deeper between them than that, but they’re both optimistic individuals who focus on the future, so they don’t always need to reflect on the past.

- It’s only really around March 3rd of each year that they take a day to truly reflect on what has gone between them over the years. It was after all, the anniversary in which they formally established their relations. 

- SK loves teasing Philippines over the True Lovers campaign she did— but she teases him over the fact that it worked, and that he is continuously drawn to seeing her time and time again. They have a very magnetic relationship.

- They act like those best friends with oblivious crushes on each other that can be seen from a mile away by everyone but them. It’s unlikely that things will progress any further than this too.

Ahhh, this was drawn for me by the amazing IchigoMimin on dA! It's been a while since I've plonked KorPiri (South Korea/OC!Philippines, aka the OTP) on my blog AND THERE ALWAYS NEEDS TO BE MORE OF THIS WONDERFUL SHIP OK AND THIS ART IS FABULOUS

MEEEELLL, how would you imagine the OTP (aka Korpiri) having their wedding? Like where and what would they do in honeymoon xD (Gotta see Korpiri kissing, cause ASDFGHJKL)

Okay so I think Yong Soo and Maricela would have two different wedding ceremonies. One would be a church wedding and that would be for Maricela, who’s always wanted to wear a beautiful white wedding dress and walk down the aisle towards the love of her life. And then the other ceremony would take on more of a Korean wedding feel - the reason they do this is for both sides of the family, if we’re assuming human AU, ahaha. I think Alfred would end up being Yong Soo’s best man, and Cahaya [Indonesia] or Raquel [Mexico] would be the head bridesmaid! uvu I suppose if human AU then Maricela’s human father would walk her down the aisle - either way, the wedding ceremonies will be near the sea! I love the idea of wedding partying on the beach for KorPiri<333 By the way, the wedding would have a shit-ton of people attending and one of the highlight attendees would be Dae Hyun [North Korea]! Yong Soo doesn’t expect Dae Hyun to turn up, but he does and wishes that Yong Soo and Maricela will be happy together for the rest of their lives and Yong Soo will hug him tightly and thank him AND BROTHERLY FEELS [I imagine Dae Hyun would show up for the Korean style ceremony, ahaha]

BUT THE BIGGEST HIGHLIGHTS WOULD BE WHEN YONG SOO SEES MARICELA WALK DOWN THE AISLE FOR THE FIRST TIME AND “NOW YOU MAY KISS THE BRIDE”

As for the honeymoon, I expect somewhere beautiful and sunny and beach paradise resorts in which there is a mixture of sightseeing and taking in the local culture and cuisine, relaxation, going out partying… and making love for the very first time, ohoho — I headcanon KorPiri waiting until marriage, so naturally the frick frack had to be put on hold untilthe honeymoon at all
