Fluff of the day is Korrasami
korra and asami with the prompt 76 “Don’t tell me you’ve been hiding this all this time?!” please?
Prompt 76 - “Don't tell my you've been hiding this all this time?!"
A/N: THE girls of all time. YES.
…
“Hold on… wait, seriously?!” Asami said, astonished. “Don’t tell me you’ve been hiding this all this time?” She squeezed at Korra’s knee again with a smile.
Korra fought against the urge to jerk her knee up at the touch, but she couldn’t keep in the little squeak of laughter the sensation caused. “Heh- Asami.. Wait a second..”
“You’re ticklish?!” Asami looked at her with glee, reaching over to squeeze her girlfriend’s sides.
“Yehehehes! Apparently!” Korra laughed, leaning back as she held her hands up uselessly against the ticklish assault. Asami scooted closer, poking at her stomach and ribs and making Korra giggle. “I-hehehe wasn’t hiding it! Ahaha- it jhuhust never came up!”
“This is the greatest discovery…” Asami noted happily as she continued to tickle at various spots. Korra’s hands eventually found themselves looped around Asami’s wrists, holding them effortlessly as she struggled and laughed.
“Okahahahahay okahahay! Gihihimme a break! Hehee!” Korra squawked as Asami wiggled one hand under her arm.
“Seriously.. Could you get any cuter?” Asami smiled softly, stopping the tickling and brushing Korra’s hair out of her face.
Korra blushed, giggling and closing her eyes in the face of such happy affection.

The Box
(Kyalin)(Korrasami)
"This is where the Chief lives?" Asami asked as Korra put the key into the lock.
"I guess, maybe she moves once a month to keep anonymity or something." Korra replied, pushing the door open. The two of them paused, taking in the room before them. They had expected pristine, but they hadn't expected so much color. In place of grey were blues and green, making the place feel tranquil instead of the prison they had imagined. Korra opened the paper Lin had given them, re reading the instructions.
"Theres no way this is right." Korra said, scratching her head. Asami went up to a photo of the south pole, the lights in the sky over an arctic tundra.
"She likes photography." She remarked and Korra ran her fingers over a blanket on the sofa.
"This is like... water tribe design."
"Lin likes the culture." Asami said, smiling slightly. Being in Lin's house made the woman seem a little more... human. Asami made her way to the kitchen, Lin's instructions said what they were looking for was in a drawer under the knives. As she was looking around, she hear Korra call from another room.
"Asami!" Asami sighed, following Korra into what seemed to be the master bedroom.
"What?" She asked. Korra held a photo in her hand, mouth gaped. Asami looked over her shoulder, gasping at the image of Lin smiling at the camera, Kya pressing a kiss to her cheek.
"Asami she..."
"Oh Ravaa," Asami said, "do you think-"
"Thats Kya's stuff." Asami smiled, kissing Korra on the cheek fondly.
"She was the first one to congratulate us," Korra whispered. "I can't believe I didn't know."
"She's a secretive person."
"I know, but still, I thought I'd at least be able to tell." Asami laughed, the two of them sat on the bed, unable to pry their eyes from the picture.
"Korra, you didn't even know yourself until a year ago."
"Yeah, I guess you're right." Korra ran a thumb over the picture, and Asami looked at her thoughtfully.
"You think that'll be us one day?" Asami asked and Korra finally looked at her.
"I do. I really do." Asami kissed her and they put the photograph down.
"I wonder who else knows," Asami said as they made their way to the kitchen.
"I want to ask around but I don't want to... say something I'm not supposed to."
"Do you think Mako knows?" Asami asked.
"Hard to say, he's with her all day, so maybe? He's not very observant when it comes to these things." Theh chuckled and Asami pulled out the box from the drawer.
"I think this it," the engineer said, looking at the box.
"Wait," Korra said, taking paper from the notepad and a pen.
"What are you doing?" Asami asked.
"Just leaving the Chief a note."
"I see. Korra, do.you think she wanted us to know? Is that why she asked us?" Korra stopped writing, looking to Asami.
"You're right." Korra said, "she just didn't want the conversation." Asami placed her hands on her hips.
"Huh. She put way too much faith in us, what if we didn't figure it out?"
"She knew we'd snoop." Korra put her note on the counter, taking the box.
"Lets get back to Beifong, then to Air temple island, Kya's gotta have more pictures there."
"What about Avatar stuff?" Asami asked skeptically.
"Asami, this is huge. Being the Avatar is going to have to wait, I need to know how long the Chief and and Kya have been smashing." Asami rolled her eyes, following Korra out.
"You better not say that to her, she'll throw you in jail."
"Hah, I know better," Korra grinned, looking back before locking the door.
Dear Chief,
Got your message loud and clear: you and Kya are "friends". Secrets safe with us, Chief.
Lin put down the note, Kya standing behind her looking over her shoulder.
"Clearly, they didn't open the box." Lin remarked.
"Why? What was in the box?" Kya asked, sipping from her 'property of Lin Beifong' mug she had made herself (much against Lin's advisement). Lin took off her glass, reaching into her pocket, pulling out the handcrafted metal box she had the two of them deliver to the precinct earlier that afternoon. Kya watched as Lin opened the box, revealing the silver betrothal necklace. Kya gasped, and Lin turned to her. The older woman took off her glass, looking to Lin then the necklace.
"Lin are you-"
"Asking you to marry me, yeah." Kya smiled, pulling her wife to be into a kiss.
"Why go through all this?" Kya asked when they pulled away, taking the box into her own hands.
"I wanted to know what they thought of it."
"And they didn't open it?"
"Guess not. Got distracted by the picture in the bedroom."
"Huh, guess you over estimated Korra's nosy-ness."
"Next time I'll ask Bolin." Kya laughed. Lin helped Kya put it on, and they took a new picture, putting the other one on the coffee table, where everyone could see it.
Korrasami cooking headcanon
“In korrasami , korra is the one who cooks but she is very messy and not the best but she still tries and is confident about her cooking skills (Asami ecourages her)”
Ty @jsakkthoughts for putting these adorable thoughts in my brain ☺️❤️
Ok so I absolutely agree that Korra does all the cooking but we must admit, girl had to learn at some point - we know from the get go this girl would just forage and firebend her meals and be done with it. Cooking? Never heard of her. However Asami, being fundamentally a rich kid (just like Toph and Zuko) is no better. So Korra, having more time not being a CEO and all, takes it upon herself to learn how to cook for the two of them, and oh boy is it slow going. Not to mention she absolutely destroys the kitchen 9 times out of 10. Asami will often come out of her home office for a tea break to find Korra so hyperfixated on not screwing up the dinner, tongue stuck out the side of her mouth in concentration, that she doesn’t even notice Asami quietly, lovingly, cleaning up around her while she waits for the kettle to heat up. Before Asami goes back to the office with her tea she gives Korra a little temple kiss - because asami is TALLER 🥺🥺 - and compliments Korra’s cooking, because hey it’s getting better every time. (Korra relaxes just a little from furiously focusing on the task at hand but not enough to pull her tongue in. It melts Asami’s heart each time without fail).
But also now I’m just imagining, early on in her cooking journey, the panic Korra feels the first time she cooks alone and she puts her creation in the oven, super satisfied that nothing went drastically wrong (who says she can’t cook huh?) ...and then she turns around and sees the devastation she left in her wake. The panic doubles down when she realises asami is going to be home in 10 minutes and she can’t just Avatar State the mess away (can she? No definitely not). The destruction is almost as bad as the time she tried to use firebending to grill a steak at the BBQ they hosted a couple of weeks ago (honestly, Mako’s eyebrows needed a new look anyways).
Asami just laughs and laughs and scoops Korra off the floor where she’s waterbending a spill, and kisses her cheeks and her nose and her pouty face, because who could ever be mad at something or someone as unbelievably cute as the all-powerful Avatar Korra, hurriedly trying (and failing) to sweep up flour with...airbending?...surrounded by the mess of cooking for her CEO girlfriend. All Asami can think is “I’m so lucky”.
Korrasami Fluff
Sorry I haven’t posted lok writing in a while, guys, here’s some korrasami.
“Asami,” said Korra, trying to untangle herself from the sheets. “We have things to do today, you know.”
Asami sighed, groaned, and gave Korra a big, warm hug. “Nope. It’s winter. There’s snow outside. We don’t do anything but sleep, cuddle, and watch movies.”
Korra rolled her eyes, “If that were true, I’d never have gotten anything done in the South Pole. It’s always snowy there.”
“But we’re not in the South Pole, Korra. We can sleep.”
Korra sighed. “Asami-”
She was cut off by Asami abruptly moving - under the covers because no one likes cold air - towards her.
“Asami, what are you-” Korra tried again, but she stopped once she discovered Asami was intending to snuggle. Holding back a smile, she said, “Fine. We can stay in bed for just a little longer.”
Asami grinned triumphantly. There was no way Korra was getting out of bed now.

You’ll Always Have a Home With Me
Sliding across the floor is something Korra does a lot, Asami’s noticed. When she gets back from a long day doing Avatar business, when she’s so tired she can barely walk. She puts on socks, warm and thick, and slides across a section of hardwood floor. It was only recently, when she talked to a specialist, that Asami started to figure out why.
“Korra,” Asami called.
A crashing noise, then, “Yes? Oh, and that lamp you really hated? Don’t need to worry about it anymore.”
A smile tugged at Asami’s lips. She really had hated that lamp. “Get some socks on, we’re going skating.”
“Skating!” Korra popped into Asami’s line of sight, grinning like a banshee for a moment before she paused. “Wait, but how? Republic city is nothing but a slab of concrete doing its best to be everything at once.”
Another smile tugged at Asami’s lips, and this time she let herself grin. “Have you heard of roller skating?”
Korra blinked and shook her head.
“Great, now I get to teach you something.” She finished lacing up her boots and walked toward the door. “Ready?”
----
Asami slowed to a stop, glancing back to see Korra clutching the railing of the indoor skating rink - a non-ice one, that is - like it was keeping her alive. “Having fun?”
“How- am I- supposed to- skate without ice?”
Asami laughed, and Korra smiled at the sound. “It’s exactly the same as on ice, you’re just traveling on wheels instead of on blades. Seeing Korra’s blank look, she added, “Come here.”
Asami stayed in position, stopped out of the direct flow of traffic so no one would run into her. She watched as Korra stumbled as she attempted to skate the few feet to where Asami was standing. When she got there, Asami took Korra’s hands in hers and pulled her closer, Korra allowing herself to roll without resistance.
“What are-” Korra stopped as Asami smiled.
“Follow my lead,” Asami said.
She guided Korra gently in the same direction as everyone else was skating, helping her keep her balance and preventing her from stumbling as she gained confidence skating on wheels.
Korra looked up, and Asami couldn’t help but grin. Korra’s hair was a mess, little strands sticking out all over the place. But she was grinning, and she looked happier than she had in a long time. Korra wasn’t just smiling with her mouth, she was smiling with her eyes.
And Asami was too. Hopefully, she had let Korra know that no matter how long she had to stay away from her birth home in the south, she would always have a home here. With her.
“I love you,” Asami whispered.
She thought she hadn’t said it loud enough for Korra to hear, but Korra turned and said, “I love you too.”
You’ll always have a home with me.
